So what do you think the re-writes on ANF were. It is obvious that the tone they gave us in the teaser trailer was massively different from the actual game (and they really changed the tone of the game inbetween Ep. 2 and 3 as well).
Do you think they felt they were making the main characters (along with Clementine) too dark and they wanted to make them look a little less anatagonistic (especially Clem)?

Here is the reason why the Slaughterhouse content was deleted:
Not sure I buy that reason considering the things they have put in the show and comic. Maybe they know that the people who play the game is largely a different audience than that of the show and comic.
I wouldn't give two shits about the age of the audience. If there is anyone to blame is themselves for playing a game full of violence and gore.
One of the reasons I see is an attempt to address and make up for [some of] Season 2's problems and criticisms such as making things a little more lighthearted and/or less depressing, making ANF!Clementine and Gabe more proactive than previous youths, making the determinant characters actually have an affect, making the characters much nicer and more understanding of each other, making most of the antagonists more morally ambiguous and sympathetic than Carver, making the group dynamic feel less spiteful and competitive, etc.
Unfortunately, further rewrites (among other things) kinda lessened the point of some of those, but it's the thought that counts. Sometimes.
To Telltale: Sounds that you are about to give me an excuse when I asked for an explanation.
The OP didn't mention an age tho??
This is the main reason why A New Frontier is shit. Ruin a great scenario and put some bullshit that rob people because of their desire to play this franchise.
Age one is a complete bullshit. The Walking Dead is brutal no matter what platform this franchise in it. If they really would use that excuse, it will be the lamest excuse that I have ever heard.
I did mention it is a different audience though in general. And though gaming is more widespread now than ever the majority of people who play video games are still in their teens or early twenties.
True, but different audiences =/= different age groups. For example, Telltale's target audience is people who like action, while their actual audience is people who like story.
I loved A New Frontier in my opinion it was a great game with a good story
Not enough
I know better games with better stories.
Weird reason though, there were 5 episodes in ANF that didn't feel like an authentic Walking Dead story, and none of them were deleted lol

Man, I know better fanfictions with better stories lol
Damage control and mostly just getting it out of the way.
Negative fan reactions? Miscommunication between writers and management? Juggling writers and story directors around? There's more than one answer.
"It didn't feel like an authentic Walking Dead story." = "The plot was too complex and we're lazy looooooool"
That's more like it.
