Really now? I might have to look this up.
Lingard did the exact same thing and he actually put himself before the group. He wasted drugs that can save someones life later on. Lingard needed to be confronted as well. I call it nepotism but a dangerous nepotism that risking everyone.
I suppose. Still, I think it makes some minute sense that the doctor would discourage using the last of the medicine since, even if he was truly using it to get high, he's also the one who'd have the highest chance of adequately reproducing more but he'd need a sample to synthesize it from.

Aye it does, but we've gone overboard with the heat a long time ago.
I think the main reason why people even think ANF is shit, is the fact that Season 1 was so goddamn good. Season 2 wasn't bad, but it didn't nearly reach the heights that S1 achieved (closest one was the episode A House Divided).
All the future installments were bound to be worse than Season 1, but us, as the player base, thought that the future will installments will only improve on Season 1's near perfection, which was foolish and now we're paying the price for it.
Also, if you're going to reply to this with something like "it could have been so much better blah blah blah, it could have been as good as Season 1, if they used the scrapped content blah blah blah" nonsense, this is what I'll tell you.
This is not about "what could have been", this is about "what it is". Also, I believe that Season 3 would have been on the same level with Season 2, if the scrapped content was used and the plot was different altogether. There was no way S3/ANF was ever going to reach Season 1's heights in terms of quality, because Telltale simply can't improve on near-perfection.
We took Season 1's quality for granted and now that we're paying the price for it, we're sending nuclear heat towards Telltale.
I enjoyed A New Frontier. The only problems I had with the game were glitches and the fashion that Kenny (I went with Kenny in The Ending of Season 2) Died. I was excited when I saw the images of the slaughterhouse as it looked really cool to me but I didn't mind that it was cut from the game. I understand that Telltale have a lot on their plates and that they are under constant pressure to deliver high quality content to fans. It may seem half assed but there is only so much that Telltale can do. I do remember that a lot of people weren't happy when the game got delayed last year (because of rewrites) I love Telltale and I would love to work there someday but I couldn't imagine the stress that each employee goes through every day. That is one reason to why I enjoyed/ appreciated A New Frontier. That is not to say that no one else did or anyone is ungrateful of course one feature of the game I may love another person may hate it. I believe that Telltale will try to repair any mistakes they made in A New Frontier and make sure that The Final Season will be a blast. Thanks for reading
doesn't deserve the heat
You can definitely have your opinion but don't ever say something like this when there are obvious flaws you should never ignore.

Okay dude, we get it, ANF is a flawed game... 90% of the community already made that perfectly clear to TT, you dont have to be complaining about it all the time and contradicting to anyone who enjoyed it. It's been 3 months already, you should get over it, it doesnt deserve the heat, the game's already over.

Believe me, I never wanted this to happen, mate. If Telltale listened to our criticism of Season 2, things wouldn't have gone south. I wanted to like A New Frontier but everything just isn't right.

I thought I was talking to AgentZ46, not you. Not my fault you revived the conversation between us. And you always attack me for talking shit about a goddamn video game.
Well you are doing a terrible job at that.
A New Frontier's flaws are not opinions.
Do I need to give you the definition of "o… morepinion" and "subjective"?
We get it for the 20th time, you didn't like ANF. Cool. Its been three months since it ended. Move on.

And you guys are too much protective to a game had 2 YEARS DEVELOPMENT!!!! I've been one of Telltale's defenders since TWD Season 1 and A New Frontier ripped me off.

I would ask that you, and every other person who gives values to such terms to start studying axiology and objectivism right now.
No one owes respect to what you call your "opinion" for it is a concept you create on your mind. And there's the thing: there's what's on your mind and then there's reality. The Truth. The real world. And we live in the real world. It has laws, shape, it has Truths. Truths such as too much heat creates a painful reaction in your nervous system. Truths such as applying too much force on a glass panel breaks it into pieces. Truths such as if one thing isn't there, it isn't there. And truths such as if one thing makes sense, it makes sense.
We do not live in your mind. In your mind, you can be fine with missing things, such as missing character development, missing hubs, missing slow paced story periods, etc. Also in your mind, you can look at things that do not make sense and be fine with them. In your mind, you can attribute a positive value to a product both with parts that do not make sense and with missing things. And well, having that as a habit is outright called having low standards.
And you surely can have and live by your low standards, you don't have, however, the right to expect people to care for them or respect them, for respecting reality, the Truth, over everything else is not something that should be condemned.
Afterall, disrespecting reality, denying it, is called delusion as far as I know.
The Truth, however, is not always easy to find. We have biases hardwired into us. We can't help it, and we almost always end up misled by them. That's why places such as these forums are so important. So we can help each other find the Truth. By discussing. By arguing. Presenting strong, reality based, arguments.
I've never seen a single reality based argument in favor of ANF. I've never seen a "Pro-ANF" person trying to debunk the many reality based arguments against it. And it's been over half a year, so I believe to have found the Truth on this one. Aaron Dracula seems to have too. Until something comes up, a real argument, that will be the one Truth I know (and believe me, I live to listen to arguments that challenge my current Truth).
Finally, I'd like to give you some insight into what an opinion is and what a position is. Anyone can have an opinion, for it can be simply created by an emotional reaction to something, you can create an opinion with little to no knowledge about a subject, with an opinion you're just expressing what you feel about something. ANd you don't need knowledge to have feelings. A position, however, takes a bit more than that. It requires pondering over empirical evidence (reality) and drawing logical conclusions out of such pondering. That's what I usually call arguing. True arguing.
Well you are doing a terrible job at that.

We get it for the 20th time, you didn't like ANF. Cool. Its been three months since it ended. Move on.
I used to think I like ANF but after playing S1 & S2 again, ANF Is completely shit and deserve the hate It gets, IMO the reason people like It Is because they're in love telltale and see throughout the flews, petty much like when your in love with a person, they seem perfect to you but they not really.
I dont remember absolutely no one complaining and whining about Season 2 back in 2014, on the contrary, it was mostly praised. If there were people criticizing the game, they must've been a great minority so i doubt TT would take their "critics" into consideration.
Season 2 was flawed too and we made criticism about it but Telltale decided to make it worse.
Season 4 might be good but doesn't excuse how ANF was poorly handled.
I see that you joined this community since February 13th 2016. You sure weren't around here in 2014, were you? I'm assuming you have only seen the Steam reviews. We sure did a lot of criticism of Season 2 in this site.

Not exactly, i had another account in this community since 2013 but i stopped using it and then i created another account. I remember well... i didn't saw anyone criticizing or complaining about Season 2, everyone liked it, at least in this community.

It deserved most of the heat it got. Only some of the more fanatic Clementine fans went into the game with an agenda (A lot of us went into the game with an open mind and genuinely thought the game was not good enough). It's not like everyone just had it out for the game from the start. If people were being dishonest about stuff then fair enough, but most of the reasons i've seen for not liking the game are justified.
I enjoyed it. Not the forced love story that you had to deal with. As a die hard Kenny fan the flash back seem to much. But over all not bad.as many say.
Yes your complaints regarding A New Frontier are valid and I can understand you're a bit peeved off by OP's insinuation that they're unjustified but trying to claim that your criticisms are actually objective truths and not bitter remarks of a disgruntled fan is pretty close minded.
OP didn't say that the game was perfect and without flaws, they just said they like it and believed it didn't deserve the hate. People can like a game despite it's faults, if you can't respect that then you are basically asking for a heated argument.

You basically just said you can have your own opinions but don't.
My thoughts exactly. I even go as far to say that its better than season 2.
And to answer the question: no it doesn't deserve the hate it gets.
You just contradicted yourself there. Also, he didn't say the game was flawless, but that he enjoyed it.
Have you ever heard of someone liking a game but has complaints about it?
Doesn't deserve the heat means we should ignore the main flaws and enjoy the game.
Of course I have. That doesn't mean you should tell people not to have an opinion you don't like.
A New Frontier's flaws are not opinions.
They very much are.
I don't remember Season 1 having short episodes, lack of gameplay content, lack of character development and major plot holes.
Just stop. Why are you trying to make this argument into something it isn't?

That isn't the point! You can think whatever you want about ANF. My issue is you trying to tell another member what to think.
Um, no. I want them to understand why ANF is hated.
No, it means that it doesn't deserve the amount of animosity that it gets. That does not immediately translate to: its a flawless game.
Well you are doing a terrible job at that.
Do I need to give you the definition of "opinion" and "subjective"?

Boo hoo, you didn't like the game. And this isn't about our opinion on the game. It's about you attacking everyone who likes it.
You're acting like I'm telling everyone to fuck off for liking A New Frontier which I never did.
