I would like to see a few more flashbacks of Clem's time in the New Frontier like a flash back that sheds more light on how choosing to accept or reject Ava's offer played out, but I won't be that upset if it doesn't happen. On the topic of flashbacks I think it would be awesome for the game to start out with a flashback that shows how the very first moment of the apocalypse was like for Clem where she was with her babysitter Sandra and her house was attacked by walkers and she had to run up to her tree house.
Great fanfiction I like although the people at macaral Anch have to be more Curiouse then just give aj to clem
I actually agree with you to an extent. But other than THAT I feel as if this particular story is pretty decent for what it is. It starts off with a Flashback, just as each episode of A New Frontier started out. In fact it's almost as if the writer took the formula for ALL 3 Seasons and mixed them together. You have Clem as the Main Character like in Season 2, a Secondary Character as the Main Focus like in Season 1, as well as the Flashback system like in Season 3. Given I was a little worried at first because the first couple chapters seemed a bit too lighthearted for ME PERSONALLY, but once you get to about Half-Way into Chapter 3, it gets SUPER DARK, and Fast. It's like Night and Day Really.
In terms of the OC, Tristan actually seemed like another Luke-esk character when he first shows up in the present day, but as the story goes on, he actually starts to deviate from that. In fact he actually starts to act more like Clementine. That I find interesting, because the last "BOY" character that Telltale Created for TWD (With all due Respect to Gabe), didn't turn out so great until the very end. With Tristan on the other hand, it seems as if we would have a well-rounded, interesting, and Mature Boy Character that Clem can ACTUALLY relate to.
Overall I'd say that this first Episode is actually somewhat better than the first episode of A New Frontier. I'm gonna go ahead and give this one a 4 out of 5.
One thing I find interesting about this is that, as I read through this, I can actually tell where some of the hubs could be placed in this story, as well as where some of the CHOICES and OPTIONAL DIALOGUES could come into play. I feel like if this story was actually put into a game, it MAY actually wind up being roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes long depending on how you go about it. That's WITHOUT exploring a whole lot, and WITHOUT the Optional stuff. I feel like at THAT pacing, we'd probably wind up with a story that is at least Close to being on par with Season 2.
The funny thing is that the story itself is much longer than it should've been originally considering how short the first (say) 3 Chapters are. Upon finishing the 3rd chapter, I realized that unless I changed my approach with this, the story might've wound up being too short, so I kept adding in MORE and MORE content until it reached a length that I was comfortable with. That's the main reason why Chapters 4 and 5 are as long as they are.
