Because his legs were broken and aj was about to get eaten by walkers. He had to give up to save them. It takes time for broken legs to heal, you know.
If Clementine can drag a near-dead man into a store in the middle of a walker herd on her own, then I suppose a young woman can punch a juggernaut in the face and knock him to the ground with a single punch is reasonable enough.
We didn't actually SEE Clem drag Lee into the store, so our brains didn't have time to acknowledge how ridiculous the logic behind the scene was because we were too caught up watching Lee say farewell to Clem.
On the other hand, we saw Ava punching Tripp with our own eyes.

Any time Kate tried to be deep, anytime Joan thought she was being villanious, all the times David got angry no matter what, about everything Gabe uttered, and "your life is precious" is the last thing I wanted to say to Gabe at that moment

Well, he did walk right into it like an oaf, likely expecting it not to hurt much. Add in that Ava is capable of outwrestling David and the fact that a punch to the head is still a punch to the head and it isn't that out of nowhere.
This is entirely subjective, so I do know I'm likely in the minority here but "Still not bitten little guy" is such a cringe inducing line for me. It clearly refers to the dialogue option back in season 2; for this reason it is essentially forced and unneeded.

Notice how 95% of these are from A New Frontier. Maybe it'll be like the Star Wars prequels where we all hate it at first, then come back several years later to make memes about the terrible dialogue.

I came here expecting a funny thread and found an excuse to hate on ANF.
In all seriousness most lines didn't make me cringe. Given what I just said this'll probably seem like I'm hating on Season 1 because of all the hate on ANF but I promise that's not what I'm doing.
A couple things Lee said in season 1 got a good eye roll out of me. It really bothered me when he spoke like he was this wise sage, he always seemed to be trying to be deep. Sometimes it was cool but it just happened too often.
"A man isn't a man, a man just is."
"A fate worse than death"
If anything legitimately made me cringe it was probably when Lee said "The door's closed" I know the fucking door's closed, Lee!

You beat me to it! I was just going to say the same thing that i noticed almost all comments about cringey lines are from S3. Not surprising given how fucking awful everything from it was

But one of the best is also when Lee says in Ep4 when entering Crawford from the sewers "can't get a look with the cover on" yeah no shit Lee hahaha! But thats what made the game funny

I'm gonna get gangbanged but I feel like the delivery of one of Clem's lines in S1E5 was...kinda off.
The "Please, please, try to get up" one.
Idk it feels...forced ?
Not exactly cringey but yeah
It's your opinion but it didn't felt forced to me. Imagine that you're a 9 year old kid stuck in a room and your father figure is dying. You don't know what to do, you're scared and you don't want to loose anyone else. It's propably the most realistic scene in TWD when it comes to how children would react to situations like that. I think panic is the right word for it. That's my opinion.

"I need to get laid" and every other single line that came out of her mouth I don't really hate her but I felt as if I was pushed to like he… morer like I forced myself to push he 'x' button when she said that she liked javi
Andddd
When David said that kate is the most beautiful woman on the whole world like I didn't even have a good reply I just went silent

Everything that came out of Clem's mouth on the ANF flashbacks, especially Jane's first one. She was so... happy? Comparing that to her pretty quiet and introspective attitude throughout Season 2, it felt incredibly off.
Also Kenny's second flashback. It was a deserved sweet moment, sure, but it felt so off tone? So forcibly utopian? Was it a particularly happy night or do they really hug that often?
"Goofball", every instance she said that I wished I had a cup of bleach nearby. Scratch that, every time she interacted with AJ, talked to or about AJ made me want to immediately close the game.
Tripp's first scene in Thicker than Water.
"ELLE, I've been thinking HARD about THIS and...I really THINK we should be...a THING."
"YO… moreU can't do anything HERE. You know they don't want ANY of the rest of us like they want YOU! Would you be HAPPY never SEEIN me AGAIN!"
"Javi, I can't leave here man. It ain't right. I think I pushed Eleanor too hard."
Me- I. Don't. Give a. Shit!
Like, holy shit, how do you irritate someone before you're even on screen? Keep in mind that I don't get upset easily.
Comments
I am not talking about heal it.
Maybe you are right, I dunno. Maybe its due to fact that I cant still accept his deceased status.
Well he couldn't move so the only way he could help the people he cared about was by giving himself up.
Ava knocking Tripp flat on his back was a big one. How is that even physically possible? Tripp's a giant!

I honestly had to pause the game for a sec just to facepalm. To me that line was the first red flag about how this season was going to turn out.
This too.

True enough.
Oh my goodness, really?
Yeah, she referred to Jane as "his other mom".
I know right!

Dat Deadguy!
Whenever Kate opened her mouth. And Gabe too.

...So basically you're saying ANF has better writing than S1?
That is not at all what I said.
You got it...
I'm watching you tho...

I can't deny that it was pretty funny sometimes but sometimes I was like "You were supposed to say something interesting!" XD
I actually liked that line, it reminded me of the cabin group

C'mon Clem is still a kid what do you expect.
When Kate keep on trying to push her romantic feelings on Javier
Gabe is pretty cringey overall. I get he's a teenager but goddamn it Clem is better than that.
Kate is very cringey and fickle as well.
Well he's not named "Tripp" for nothing.
Everything else in that scene felt good and genuine yes, but to me that specific line feels off, maybe because I heard it so many times or something
"The war is never truly over."
Though I didn't cringe so much as just check out.
Did David say that?
Yeah, or at least something of that general gist.

And then asks for love advice. Tripp, pls.
