  • She's like a chess player

Sorta, but not really. Joan was a divorced single mother, a driven child of immigrants, who worked her way up to COO of her furniture

  • That bastard probably would like her in Thicker than Water, wouldn't he?

  • Yes, this would be a perfect fit for a full and final closure, the series about fighting for humanity in the world where there's almost none of that. We have a very clear theme about taking care of orphaned children, we had its good side (Lee sacrificing himself for Clem) and its bittersweet one (Kenny with AJ and Clem), we had whatever it was in ANF (Javier, Gabe and Mariana; I guess accidentally failing this quest because both children can die), so now we need something more or less worse, like a good person going bad and absolutely blind with rage and hate towards those who try to cross them - like Christa, mother who had lost her child, being super overprotective with AJ and willing to do anything to protect him, even kill Clementine, the girl she was meant to protect.

It would be a sad, terrifying tale about a broken mother that was driven insane because of her loss, with either a bitter end to her story in which she acknowledges what she's done and maybe even got better with time, giving AJ back to Clem or agreed to join them; or an dark end in which Clementine is forced to kill her in order to protect AJ.

It just seems like a game I'd definitely play and I don't even like Christa. If TT says they are not touching this then I'm gonna fucking write a story about it.

Very plausible, I can see Christa being over-protective being she's lost everyone she cares about, including Clem. Moreover this being all t

  • Yeah to some it may be too dark, but then again we never know which direction Clem is going this season. At the end of ANF we just see Clem turning walkers into swiss cheese with this fiery look in her eyes. Hopefully she doesn't go full Rambo on us lol.

And I feel like Mike, Bonnie and Arvo may have split up, being that their all out for themselves it could've been a major fallout between the 3 of them and ultimately disbandment and betrayal.

But I really do hope Christa, Lily and Molly are still out there somewhere, and aren't too far gone (mentally and physically) I can see TT having either one of them return bitten and trying to hide it. Usually in these situations, people who have been alone for quite some time develop paranoia, especially these three and what they've been through. Not to mention the apocalypse going on outside.

We know AJ is going to be in the next season in some way so I don't feel like speculating on that. I think Lilly, Christa, Bonnie, Mike, and

  • While I can't say I'd, at least the mother figure would be getting the spotlight for once.(Fuck you, David.)

Javier, Gabe and Mariana; I guess accidentally failing this quest because both children can die

And this is one of the reasons why I don't like Gabe being made outright determinant at the last minutre.

One concept I came up with fairly recently that harkens back to the original antagonistic role(s) from the road to "Season 3" had Lily and Arvo as something of an Anti-hero/villain duo against the NewFrontier/Marauders/whatever.

  • Just like Javier being bisexual all of the sudden and Kate exchanging her brains for a bulldozer to become a medieval martyr.

I actually didn't mind those that much personally, especially the Kate thing(Which actually makes sense if you bothered to pay attention instead of being stubborn^)

What I did mind was how those things ended up feeling like some shallow excuses for what we should've gotten and that the effects of David's tantrum further cemented the multiple endings as potential tonal disarray.

^That's not aimed at you specifically, just saying.

I can honestly say I can see this being the pinnacle of the S3 down the line for one of the episodes, and not being uneasy about it. It's a really solid plot I'm okay with seeing it, it's makes sense and a hell of a way to conclude this story. Christa and Clem, both somewhat old companions, battling each other for what they see as their own family. I can settle for that.

If TT says they are not touching this then I'm gonna fucking write a story about it.

XD I would definitely be supportive of this.

  • Whoa, just come back with their own faction of rebellion-type-looters and making it another all out war for Richmond. I'd like to see how that'll play out.

Towards the end Arvo and (probably Bonnie), being appalled seeing Clem having survived that bullet and being caught off guard by new and improved edgy-Clem @_@ *mind blown*

Well actually, I was more pushing for the idea of them mostly being their own thing. Primarily in Arvo's case, though.
But yes, it would be neat to see a multi-sided war/battle(grrr...).

Heh..."improved." The potentially non-threatening PTSD could be hilarious though.
