Your thoughts on The Walking Dead Collection
Personally I think that this Collection is pretty cool and the graphic enhancements are stunning. However I am upset about one thing.... This graphical enhancements are only available in the Walking Dead Collection. I wish that Telltale would update each standalone game with the graphical improvements instead of us players having to buy the Collection to experience the enhancements. Hopefully a Telltale Staff member sees this and follows through with this. I know it will make me happy
Anyways what is everyone elses thoughts on this Collection?

Why no PC
Seriously... why the crap is it not going to be on PC?
No PC = No fun
It's a middle finger to everyone who already owns all the seasons digitally in their consoles. They don't even bother to update our games with enhanced graphics.
I dont understand why theyre releasing a collection when theyre supposed to release the final season next year. If they would release it after the final season the collection would make more sense as it would have all the seasons. This way youre buying 3 seasons together and buying the final one separately.
Telltale logic
Same thing actually happened to Uncharted as well. They remastered the trilogy and released it before Uncharted 4.
Profit. Telltale can make a SECOND collection later that includes the season 3 dlc and The Final Season. This is the same thing Naughty Dog probably plans to do with Uncharted. Plus, if they released a collection of the entire series right after TFS, everyone would juat wait for that instead of wasting their money on season 4.
Well, if it was actually released on PC it would give me both a good reason to replay, AND a reason to throw more money at stuff I dont need
Personally I think the only reason it's being released is purely financial, they've recently cut 25% of their staff
I really don't understand why this collection is beneficial to old buyers.
This is the only version that will have the updated visuals, it only comes in a bundle (so you can't choose whichever 1 season you want), it messes up all their current bundles that include the Walking Dead's "older" titles, and makes no sense to release it now.
We've got Seasons 1 + 2 on old-gen consoles, and then they were ported to the new generation just a few years ago. Now, we've got new versions of them for the same generation, but you need to buy these again to get the upgrade. The only good thing about this is the fact that a new buyer will save some money by buying this instead of each entry sepreately, but it's worse for anyone who already owns these. I'd understand if it went from one generation to another, but we already own these games on these same devices! It's redundant!
I'd be happier if I hadn't just bought season 1 for PS4 since it was already supposedly "remastered" A thing that I bought because I was hoping it wouldn't preform as shoddily as it did on my PS3. I have no PC because I don't want to deal with all the technical bullcrap.
I've always thought the graphics could use some sprucing up, but this is a mixed bag for me. Season 2 in that trailer didn't look particularly any better, but season 1 did look nice. I'll be waiting to see some people play it on youtube so I can get a better feel for the graphical change before I buy it myself. Regardless, I was probably going to want to buy season 2 and Michonne for PS4 since they'll preform better. If the graphics are remastered too, that's just a bonus. I'll probably have to wait for the price to drop, though.
Will Season 2, Michonne and A New Frontier be remastered in terms of graphics or glitches/bugs patches in The Collection? Also will we get actually pictured achievements in Michonne and A New Frontier?
Not sure about the rest, but the trailer said (in tiny print) that remastered graphics cover all content from Season One through Michonne (so probably not for New Frontier).
I was wondering if I was the only one who felt the same about Season Two's graphics. Which is weird, considering they did look better for p much everything else shown.
I think that they're CLEVER for it. Even though some of their more RECENT stuff like GOTG and MCSM are trash, people still like the OLD stuff and Telltale can STILL make money off Remastered content, since I KNOW that there are at least SOME PEOPLE out there who are gonna be willing to buy it.
Building off of what that one person said about the Uncharted Remaster, Ubisoft did the same thing with The Ezio Collection for Assassin's Creed before coming out with ORIGINS and THAT game turned out INCREDIBLE when that came out.
Well...that's NOT entirely accurate. Playing a game on a Newer Gen Console is NOT the same as playing a Remaster. The only thing that playing a different version does is give you a smoother experience in general while playing. It is no different than increasing the settings on a PC Game. A Remaster, on the other hand, does MORE than just Increase the Frame-rate and what not. It actually Increases the graphic quality BEYOND the specs of the Original Game.
I didn't talk about specs or which console it's being played on, though? I'm just commenting that it looks (at least texture/lighting-wise) better for everything that isn't S2/ANF for some reason, as if they didn't change it aesthetically.

NO!!! The Beautiful Season 2 Menu is now gone! Does this mean that there's no more rewind as well?
Now I just wish we could get Season 1 separately...
They "really" want our money. Also, it doesn't look like they cleaned up any of the animations in that scene, but anyway, Lee's eyes are beautiful.
("Really" is in quotes because if they REALLY did, they'd also make it available on Steam, which would be easier than porting to console.)
I don't really like his eyes there. Maybe it's because of the new lighting effects in that room, but they look kind of "glassy".
I'll take glassy eyes over ANF's oily skin any day.
Reading your article link, they seem to think we're not invested in the behind-the-scenes (or they're saving that for those "extra menus," which better have that if they end up cutting out the rewind option). I can't see them making all four seasons' episode screens work without uniting them, though.
Unfortunately, the menus would have to go. The only way to make them work is if by booting up the Collection, you can then start up S1, 2, 3, or Michonne as separate games, but I figured that all the content would be featured on one menu. I am interested in how they modified their new menu to take in 4 games worth of episodes, instead of one. How would you switch between the four?
Do you think giving Lee a wider jaw is an improvement to his appearance?
I want to know this too. I wonder what the menus will look like? Maybe the newest menus? I hope not! I liked the Season 2 and Michonne menus as it gave us a horror and dark feel to the game.
I didn't really notice much difference of Lee's model to be honest. It just seemed a bit more hi-res than usual.
@thewalkingclementine It sounds like they'll be using the same menus as "Season 3" so, unfortunately the previous menus will change. That's a darn shame because there have been great menus in the past. Michonne was the last great one we saw. Angled, slashed text (fitting for her weapon of choice), and the way the menu transitioned between the slides... beautiful.
honestly i dont care about the collection version that much.... Unless they added some new stuff to it but since its just a graphic update i think ill pass.
I really hope not Looks like we will see the same new menu in The Finale Season I really liked the slashed text, dark themes and eerie music that adds tension in Michonne and Season 2.
The Collection will have a separate achievement/trophy list. And only one platinum Trophy
Ehh
