Who will be at the ranch?

  • Lol I only say that because I see this plot going in this sequence.

    • Clem finally gets to the ranch, catches up with everyone including AJ.
    • They're all there and say their piece on why they did what they did. Clem understands and forgives them.
    • Then they all disagree on who's more capable of taking care of an infant. Then the "wanting being the responsible parent in an apocalypse" cliche kicks in for player sympathy. (Clem isn't supposed to be capable to make the story dramatic)
    • Clem says she is and she can handle it, they don't think so, one thing leads to another and...
Then, The Walking Dead: The final season comes to an end after a major custody battle.
The 400 days people aren't really beneficial to this season imo.

Yeah, Becca was the most useful one character-wise in general and she is way past obsolete by this point.
A custody battle over a baby she's probably not even the same race as would be dumb.

    That does leave Tavia though....

I see it going like "This person (AJ) doesn't have anyone stable to travel with, I'm the only one right minded enough to look after him, you're too damaged and emotionally unfit for him" type of thing going on.

    That does leave Tavia though....

Howe's did have multiple places to escape/hideout ;) and if somehow Tavia did seen Jane's technique to get past walkers, she's out there somewhere looking for someone she can trust. Like a baby lol.

  • Meaning...?

I feel like Tavia & Joan are very much alike when you think about it. Even though Tavia was a high ranking lieutenant, at any time she looked like she would've taken matters into her own hands and having the same reason "I did what was best" or "it was for the best" kinda reasoning. And all know/knew what Joan was capable of.

I always think of a Cherry Pie Crumble when I see Carver like that :D :D

  • Characters who will not show up: Kenny

Some of you people are clinging harder to Kenny than you did to Lee, Kenny already had 1 completed and very satisfying character arc in season 1, then he gets a mostly unsatisfying arc in season 2, even though the story would have benefitted from him staying dead, he should absolutely not be in the Final Season at all

  • dont rat him out like that kenny has more screen time and depth compared i believe he should return in the finale but only as a cameo at the end.

I don't know how you get that vibe, but okay.

I always thought of Tavia as someone who was once passionate about helping survivors get to safety/shelter, but grew relatively indifferent about having to do her job around Howe's as time went on. Then again, having to work right under Carver will probably do that to you.

With that said, I am sure she has it in her to do some leading given her seniority and her shift in attitude can help her focus on what needs to be done.

Ok think about it like this, both Joan and Tavia were in charge of keeping their community out of harms way. However, both had bad apples in the bunch who disagreed with their authority, luckily Joan's ranking shunned anyone's opinion on how things should be. Now, picture Tavia in full control over Howe's, with Carver being non-existent but her still having one viewpoint on how things should go. Can you imagine when they finally got the Cabin group to Howe's how Tavia would've reacted if they pulled all the shit they did with Carver? My guess is Carver had some sort of psychotic game plan to break everyone down to a point where they're too weak to put up a fight and ultimately compromise. Do you think Tavia would've had the patience to break in new survivors she barley knows?

    Fucking Ew

I suppose. You never really know what some people are truly capable of until they're pushed, after all.Maybe it would've happened like that.

Either way, Tavia was probably the 4th most anticipated returning character in my book.

Well, we already knew Clementine would be in "Season 3" and Season 2 ends with him in her custody in all the endings, so....

    What?

  • Oh, yeah. Probably because I occasionally make jokes/references that tend to be on a different level of ...ribald(I like the way that sounds) than those legitimate flub-ups.

Basically, I know I'm capable of being more direct with that type of thing and that there are plenty of people who'd do far worse, so might as well just brush myself off and keep moving forward.

Besides, [one of] them being teenagers is technically referring to something different, yet not unrelated.

Me catching you on these types of remarks and then you just brush it off like it's nothing to be concerned about?

  • It's just when you do it, it's hard to take it in a joking matter. Like, you put so much detail into the joke that instead of it sounding like what we can all relate to and laugh at, it makes it sound like how you personally see the scene playing out. It also, in a way, encourages that type of behaviour ... and we don't need this site turning into that. And when you say "keep moving forward" do you mean you'll just try it again next week? This is the 4th time I've caught you in the last 2 months and I've let you know that, but nothing has changed. It gets aggravating to have to repeat myself.

    Huh. Noted.

Like, you put so much detail into the joke that instead of it sounding like what we can all relate to and laugh at

Eh, I don't really recall doing that often, but I guess it sounds about right considering how much thought I tend to put into certain things.

it makes it sound like how you personally see the scene playing out.

:joy: This legit made me laugh!

It also, in a way, encourages that type of behaviour ... and we don't need this site turning into that.

    Eh, I'd say it depends.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think this doesn't need super explicit, George Carlin or Louis C. K tier riffs flying all over the place. do understand some people being concerned at times, but certain bits of occasional radar pushing humor doesn't have to hurt anyone.
That's why there needs to be limits to what you're willing to say, which I generally try to do. Maybe not to a level you're comfortable with, but I do have standards.

And when you say "keep moving forward" do you mean you'll just try it again next week?

  • Well, It's nice to finally see what your true intentions are. I kept taking those extra details in the wrong way. (Made me think you were some kind of pervert going too far into the topic and trying to hide it as a joke.) I know I can't really stop you making these jokes, but I ask that you dial it down on the details, even though you hate to make things simple.

  • The only returning characters that I'd be perfectly content with seeing at the ranch are the members of the Fairbank family. I feel like encountering anyone from Clementine's past at the ranch alongside AJ would just be a bit too timely, if that makes sense. If someone like Christa or Lilly were to appear again I'd rather they do so later along in the story with a different group.

Lol eh, there's that I guess. If and only if, I despised Kenny like Jane advocates, Kenny could be the fall guy for it. Then again, Jane was also a big help in the great escape

That I'd be okay with, no longer than 5 seconds though I wouldn't be able to get through it. The why is because of how manipulative they all were to Clem to say the least.
