Hard one, I haven't watched the show in a while and haven't read the comics.
But I think Clem, from what I know Clem can handle her self and survive all on her own. Carl is always with a group and as far as i know always has his dad by his side. So i would say Clem is the more bad ass one.
If this is comic Carl, then he’ll probably win, but Clem will give him a challenge. I say that Because Clem was able to tackle David to the floor and beat a Walker with just a rock. However, I’m sure Carl learned a few techniques from his Dad who was a sheriff. He also beat up 2 other teenagers his age and managed to hold his own against a grown man.
Since Clem doesn't exist in the tv show universe we might as well just compare the comic version of Carl to her. Comic version of Carl wins hands down. As tough as Clem may have had it she hasn't seen near the crap that Carl has so far. Carl has gone through a couple wars. Clem has at the worst only gone through a few small scale group conflicts.
Tough call but I have to say Clem. She would probably get some advantage by kicking Carl in the balls and then she could go for a rock or even for a dominant position.
I don’t believe that it has actually been stated that Clementine does not exist, just that she won’t appear in it, I’m just headcanoning that she exists though since it hasn’t been debunked yet. Also, yeah, Carl wins without a doubt, we’ve seen him win fights with grown men before, while the most clem has done was determinantley jump on somebody and point a gun at him, which was an unfair advantage

Most like, I was just seeing what was going on in other threads and realized I have no stake nor record in this.
Some may not know this but the 'Look at the flowers' scene from the show was Carl's in the comic. He didn't specifically say that in the comic and I think the show dramatized the event a bit better but that scene in the show was an adaption of what Carl did.
TV Carl, Clementine would win hands down. Comic Carl I would say it's a 50/50 fight. They're both quite adept at combat and have always held their own. I would say that Carl has more brute strength and Clementine is more resourceful and better at using her surroundings to her advantage in a fight. Overall Carl has been through more and bigger conflicts but Clem has also seen her fair share of dangerous conflicts. Up until the end of ANF everyone who had ever been good to Clementine had died. With the exception of AJ. Clementine was able to survive on her own for a while and take care of AJ without a group to help her. Carl has almost always had a group and a father to support him. There is also the fact that Carl only has one eye so that is an advantage for Clementine. All in all I would say its a pretty even fight.
Pertaining to Comic Carl, it's a tough call. While I love Clem and am biased in favor of her, the facts make it hard to really call an outright winner. I think it would be a pretty even fight, but I would have to give a slight edge to Carl, even though I'll be rooting for Clem the whole way.
How do we know this with certainty? I've read people message this a couple times before as though it's a law for the television show. Was this fact confirmed by S. Gimple and R. Kirkman in the past? Clementine has to exist in the comic since the game is universally canon to the comic and she's never met comic Carl. Perhaps none of the TV cast has crossed paths with Clementine yet or never. I think Daryl and Merle were both confirmed to not exist in the comics and thus games, so only within the show.
