  • Honestly I have no hope for Season 4. ANF did way too much damage for this series for it to ever get back on track.

Even if you have the most talented writers in the world working on season 4, theres no way Season 4 can be good due to what ANF did. Seriously, I said it before but the plot of Season 4 is going to be Clem finding Aj at a Farm a few miles north of Richmond. Thats the plot. Now Telltale just needs to fucking stretch that plot out for fucking 5 episodes. How do you do that? You add a lot of bullshit. Get ready to reach that farm for it to be ransacked and now we gotta save Aj from some OTHER super bad guy real mean group of people! Or maybe we get kidnapped and have to deal with some other real big super TERRIBLE and MEAN group before we reach Aj and have to fight them before we can get to Aj!!! I can honestly go on, just know that Season 4's plot is going to still reach ANF level's of terrible plot and structure.

  • That's the whole point of The Walking Dead of course there's gonna be a bad guy it's not gonna be wow she find a cure boom happy ending ! Like i said before they could bring back Lilly or Christa i know Anf was bad but there's no way season 4 is going to be as bad as Anf.Why ?
Because we play as Clementine again
    New characters
And yeah possibly Christa and Lilly coming back (i hope).

And please i know people are pissed about Season 3 but stop being so dramatic.Telltale can still give you a good finale season.I've seen other games being destroyed or not having the chance to redeemed themselves.

I'm gonna be honest,i don't know how you guys do to always complain about the same thing over and over, there's so much hate here i feel bad for the guys who read your comments sometimes.Let's hope they learned the mistakes they did about A New Frontier.

  • Walking Dead Season 1 is a great example that an amazing story does not need some big bad guy. Season 1 had the St. Johns but they were for just 1 episode, and they shined in that episode because they werent built as an overarching bad guy. Same with the Stranger, he's mostly there to judge the player for their actions the whole game, and does no serve a roll of overarching antagonist at all.

This is what was wrong with ANF. Season 2 had Carver, who kinda fell apart overall but at least his motivations and character himself felt reasonable even though he was meant to be a "main bad guy." ANF tried so hard in just making the whole game focus on The New Frontier group, but the problem was they were just so god damn bad. Joan is the worst antagonist I think I've experienced in recent media, they are just so bad at being the bad guy they dont even feel like the bad guy.

Bringing back Christa or Lilly would just be... weird. Telltale already made ANF basically a reboot, just for them to go "sorry we fucked up pls take an older character back when walking dead was good ;(" they might as well just admit ANF was a pointless mess that served no purpose to the past 2 seasons other than to set up season 4 for them to attempt to basically reboot again.

People are still pissed about Season 3 because half the reason ANF turned out the way it did was Telltale simply didnt listen to all the complaints after Season 2 ended. The biggest things you would see here on the forums was countless threads going, "Please do not kill Kenny and Jane 5 minutes after they appear and please make our endings matter" "Please let episodes be longer in season 3" "Please make Clem stay as the main character" Just for Kenny and Jane to die 5 minutes after they appear, episodes being shorter (ANF premiered with 2 episodes at the same time and together they only reached about an hour and 20 mins, so about 40ish minutes each.) and for Clem to be side lined into a minor character. Plus all the lies they told before the game released still has people hesitant to trust Telltale. The biggest being Telltale claiming ANF was SO BIG they split episode 1 in half to release at the same time for like I said it to be extremely short, and for them right before release saying endings would have a huge impact and even releasing a whole blog post detailing that there would be 40+ different versions of Clem based on your season 2 ending and choices just for there to be just 1 exact same Clem who just had a different scar on her body.

  • Bro I don't know how to censor this so I won't post any spoilers, but after season 1s crap and their handling of what I assume will become the joker. No. Nobody should be tackling jokers origin after The Killing Joke. Let alone in some half baked reverse relationship.

If telltale puts as much effort as they re putting in on batman currently then i think it might be a good season. ((althought obviously not season 1 level.))

Yeah i know, i agree with basically everything you said though i will say that Carver could have been so much more, but they didn't learn anything in season 2 either what's pissed me off the most was what happened to Nick and Sarah (and of course Luke),but they were some good in season 3 such as Conrad,David was good too until episode 5,Also Gabe redeemed himself in episode 5.

So that's why i thought bringing back an old character would be good let's not forget they tried so hard to tell us what happened to Christa, she was supposed to come back and since it's the final season, they might as well bring her back.I don't see why people would be against it.

I guess people are still pissed because they didn't expect Telltale to be that lazy on the endings.I agree there's limits at some point if Season 4 is worse than A New Frontier then there is no hope for this company.

Neither. Just end this series now i say. I'd actually love it if Telltale turned round and cancelled S4

  • Because i still like discussing Season 1 and 2 and the general discussion with people on here although the board itself has changed a lot since the old days. I don’t visit here as often anymore anyway. That ok with you?

So why are you still here now?

(Rant) Worried. I will watch the first hour or so of the S4 premiere (if it's as long as Batman S2E1 - and it better be Telltale) like I did with Batman S2E1 and then consider buying it or not. If I'm not happy with the first hour I'll just watch the last season on YouTube instead of playing it.

ANF left a bad taste on my mouth. I can't trust Telltale pre-release anymore - besides Wolf 2 will most likely be my last TT game anyway. I'm also worried S4 will have shitty episode lengths like ANF/Michonne (Michonne was understandable since it was a miniseries but fucking LIS:BTS was longer than the entirety of ANF and that only had 3 episodes). I just hope Telltale doesn't fuck up the writing and give each character the care they deserve like in S1 and they actually write a dark story (again like S1) with each episode having a mini subplot (once again like S1E2 and the St John farm being a 2-3 hour subplot).

And please give us more fucking gameplay - who asked for 2% gameplay and 98% cutscenes? Everyone loved S1 despite some issues with one or two puzzles like the S1E3 train puzzle (sidenote: pretty incredible how most of S1's content is still in my head and barely any of ANF's content is) and no one complained about the gameplay yet they're REDUCING gameplay and INCREASING the amount of cutscenes...? Why the shit are you calling your movies GAMES if they don't have any gameplay... (Edit: also where are the side quests like fixing Clementine's swing? Those were pretty fucking nice I gotta say... too bad they don't exist anymore.)

TL;DR: Mainly worried about episode lengths, writing/story, marketing, gameplay (also "side quests").

  • have you guys seen the new telltale video about anf?
