Hey there, so after looking at The Final Season much more and analysing it. I found this House in the background that is well hidden. Could this be the Hilltop in the Comics and telltale trying to bring the Comics and Games much closer together.

Noooooo I said stop giving Telltale ideas. There shouldn't be any comic book tie ins at all in the final season.
If telltale really is taking fan feedback seriously, I think they would know connecting to the comics would be a big mistake.
There are similar buildings in that area so it could simply be a building that looks like it. But yeah, the resemblance is scary. This is also key art and key art isn't always the most accurate representation of how the actual game will pan out especially when the story is episodic. Look at ANF's key art, the game ended up being way different.
I really hope they steer clear of comic characters. There are just too many writing restrictions when it comes to them. Unless they are characters the comics are completely finished with and Telltale has the rights to fully use them.
If Telltale is serious about incorporating more comic material, the best way to do this without making the main story suffer would be through minor easter eggs and references that don't take away from the story and advancement of the final season. Perhaps at some point Clementine can stumble across an abandoned house, car, highway, etc. that was briefly featured in the comics. Or perhaps a comic character who died but was never stopped form turning could show up as one of the walkers Clem has to fight. It could be cool if Telltale took a character who was but a mere background detail in the comics and made them a part of the main cast of the final season. Telltale could give them their own backstory and make them an interesting character. In a conversation the character could mention the community from the comics they were previously a member of, as well as mention some comic characters and the circumstances that caused them to leave that community behind.
Well that's totally not me, i would love to see all of the main comics characters in game, to see how Clem would interact with them
I wouldn't speculate on the background of the key art too much, most of the things you see at the moment are still in production and could change plus after seeing people speculate about the building in the ANF poster cough Capricorn farm cough i don't think we should look into it too deeply .
I agree with OzzyUK. Also I think those places on artworks might be intentional but some type of easter egg maybe? To somehow remind everyone that their game is taking place in the comic universe and it's not a seperate thing? Just my theory
Very limitedly, since none of the characters in the comics ever reference any of the events in the games they've been involved in.
Guess I’m in the minority here. I wouldn’t mind someone from the comics to show up, but only if they have a Glenn or Hershel role from S1. That means limited screen time and show up for only one episode. Nobody complained about them in S1 and it turned out to be a masterpiece. That’s why Jesus’ role from ANF didn’t work, he overstayed his welcome.
I'm afraid that won't happen. Telltale has limits to what comic characters they can use. Like they don't want us to interact with comic characters that haven't appeared or have been killed off and still alive in the show. We have all the proof that they need to cater to people who don't read the comics already.
And tried to get it on with Javier, which made him more creepier to me in the comics.
Excuse me if I'm wrong but doesn't Hilltop have a wall build around it.
I think it work so well because E1 of S1 was set before TWD comic story line started.
Speaking of the comics isn't Jesus suppose to return?
He won't return in the Final Season.
God I hope not!
Garrus Vakarian won't come back sadly.
Looks similar. But not the same place as the Hilltop building.
I kind of want the games to stay well away from the comics. I don't really think that's the Hilltop either.
...
I would guess the background is McCarrol Ranch or something. Everything is still very subject to change but it looks like this game will take place in the country side which is the smart thing to do, cities in the apocalypse are just dangerous.
I mean, they've already brought Jesus in, so it's possible.
It IS the Mc Carroll Ranch. Concept Art from ANF confirms it.
What concept art? Where can it be found?
Are you sure? Where can we find this material?
Given it's not EXACT, but it's similar enough to be considered. May have gone through some sort of design change since put out originally.
I’m pretty sure that building in the video isn’t part of the ranch, the concept art is available on the new frontier website and is called “central building” which is likely a concept design for a building in the new frontiers safe zone.
At this stage season 4 is likely still in development so the building in the background could be a placeholder or a unfinished concept.
