Jeez..We really don't need that on the forums.
How about we try to be positive for once ? It doesn't look so bad and so far Telltale didn't lie to us (the only thing i disliked was that exclusive thing).
If these kids are the focus of the first one or two episodes I'm guna gulp it with relief like a motherfucker knowing that the plot will CHA… moreNGE after...but if it will continue with em well why not watch a American high-school drama TV show instead huh? I hope telltale aren't this bland and don't make things worse, for our broken hearts sake.
I'm a bit skeptical that's all....it hasn't been a year yet since anf's last episode release and allready I'm seeing a lot of gabe potential rush writing....I hope I'm wrong and proven false believe me.

Sorry for coming in at the tail end of everything but did anyone explicitly say if the ANF choices are going to be ignored because of the time skip? I feel like that's lame because it's kind of owed to the people who bought it regardless of the enjoyment and entertainment value they got out of it.
He's joking nobody knows if there's going to be any romance.
I know they're gonna try but i hope we have the option to refuse at least for the people who don't want that.
Am I the only one who doesn't feel like a game involving teenagers in a zombie apocalyptic automatically means it's going to be a 2006 Degrassi episode?
I don't get it either. Its a fresh perspective and not really something done before in a setting like this. I'm just happy when I heard that the kids act like kids and not edgy survivors (Yes Marlon is a loud mouth but that doesn't suddenly mean he can't also have some fun), and being able to see Clem grow to that mentality and letting AJ too is all I ever wanted. Not everything needs to be dramatic and dread every second it gets boring.

The telltale panel released artwork and talked about how season 4 takes place in a boarding school with children named Marlon, Louis, Ten and Violet (Sorry if this is super late lol)
Well this was disappointing. I had been looking forward to this PAX panel for about a month. I was expecting to see a trailer and maybe even a release date but there was nothing other than some concept art and a little about new characters. I suppose maybe after what happened with TNF and the sequence that the season 3 trailer footage was taken from being cut from the game entirely, they opted not to release a trailer at all until more of the game had been finalized. If that's the case it's understandable. Disappointing, but understandable. Still bummed no release date though.
Louis is giving me rapey vibes. His fashionable attire is odd and I don't like how they described him as flirty. Violet looks somewhat like … moreJane but like she could be completely different in terms of compassion. Marlon gave me some hardcore Kenny vibes. He looks pretty badass and has a badass dog, and they described him as abrasive with a soft nougaty inside. I bet you anything he will seem like the least trustworthy but actually turns out to be the one you want on your side.
Ugh...personally speaking, I wouldn't have so much of an issue with it(and by a miniscule portion, ANF!Clementine herself) if they just left Gabe alone and didn't "pander" to a lot of people's shallow hangups by entertaining the idea.
At least then, I could still just pass the topic off as "I really don't care much generally, but I guess I wouldn't lose much more sleep if it was implemented okay enough."
I hate that there are so many of you that dont want romance in the game, when in every telltale game there has always been a degree of roma… morence. I mean those of you that are so vocal about not having romance should have the choice in the game not to pursue it unlike in Anf. But for those of us who do want romance in the game, we should still be able to even if you guys don't want it. And it really pisses me off about how protective you guys are of clementine like shes your freaking daughter. And you know what even if you feel that way
about clementine that's fine but at least see the hypocrisy of being okay with her
killing people, cussing and being fine with that but you flip out over a simple kiss she has with a boy.
So they just said we're starting the season off with AJ. No actual time developed to finding him, no big reunion between him and Clem, just goes right into a time jump and AJ is there. Remind me, what was the point of ANF again?
Eh, probably because it just sounds like more of ANFs newcomer friendly crap. I really don't get TTs lack of understanding, or care for, telling a cohesive story across multiple games with the series. Credit to TT though, unlike most companies they've genuinely meant you'd lose nothing if you didn't experience the previous games in the series.
Which I thought was a missed oppurtunity for Gabe's development arc (like him or hate him), the option of giving him Mariana's music-player without it never being brought up again was a shame. There could've been a bit where Gabe would mention it to either Clem or David and it would've been a good little moment.
A-freaking-greed. The one character who actually should've had me give a shit about the girl and she never really comes up again.
I sorta knew that this season would try to show more kids Clems age. There's probably going to be moments where in the hubs Clem and another… more kid would mention being around others their age, showing the memories had in each season; Which I thought was a missed oppurtunity for Gabe's development arc (like him or hate him), the option of giving him Mariana's music-player without it never being brought up again was a shame. There could've been a bit where Gabe would mention it to either Clem or David and it would've been a good little moment. There probably will be many moments like that to make up for in s4, Gabe's cards are still in some people's possession, and with this season supposedly being gameplay written in mind compared to scripted (Idealy), we should expect hubs like this which would be great.
Also, I really fuckin hope the villain in this isn't just another Evil White Man yet again. Take advantage of your [late af] emphasis on kids, Telltale!
Supposedly Christa was originally going to be in ANF as a bandit who you find stealing your supplies. There was a choice to shoot her in th… moree back and then realize with horror that it was Christa, and if you didn't shoot then someone you're with would have. I can see us running across her in a similar state but I don't think Telltale will want anything to do with Lilly going forward.

Well dang that's disappointing. Was hoping for an idea of what the story is but oh well. And no idea when it's coming out.
We've heard a lot of things.
I think we could expect a trailer or a teaser in May or June.

is there actually going to be a 3-way romance, or are you joking?

Who's Rosie?

Doggo
Admittedly, yeah.

You know what's messed up? Just by that description, I actually though about Tripp first.
Eh, hopefully they're more Pre-DirectionShift!Gabe than the misaimed pandering that happened in the last two episodes.

What?
Also, I assume he's one of those French gentlemen type characters like Lumiere.
EDIT: Or Antoine, now that I've watched that part.
So...Conrad?
That's because boys have been extremely underrepresented and not very positively when they were.
It says something that Gabe was [initially?] a considerable step forward.
I didn't watch this thing, but eh, not really.

(The Doc is Back!)
...Even though he's black?
I did here/see something like that, given that he didn't really understand what her deal was.
But yeah, it doesn't erase what he said, nor the fact that he really shouldn't have said something to that effect in the first place.
Jolene confirmed for Season 4!
...They honestly didn't help, no.
Oh, WTF?!
A bad thing.
Why?
It shouldn't have been a thing outside of jokes, Fanfics, and very fuckin loud & insecure fan rants to begin with.
Gabentine never existed and is not CANON.
Excuse me young man, are you looking to be banned?
Nobody insults my beloved Gabentine and lives to tell the tale...
And like GT, it had a number of good ideas, characters, and premises, but the execution left more than a bit to be desired.
Yeah and I liked Pan's design and the idea of the Shadow Dragons. Granted, I'm not one of those people who hate on GT either, but still.

Where the shit are you getting this information, dude?
Agreed.
Oh, there's gonna be a 3-way, alright.
No. I never watched Degrassi, though.
