The telltale panel released artwork and talked about how season 4 takes place in a boarding school with children named Marlon, Louis, Ten and Violet (Sorry if this is super late lol)
It shouldn't have been a thing outside of jokes, Fanfics, and very fuckin loud & insecure fan rants to begin with.
Excuse me young man, are you looking to be banned?
Nobody insults my beloved Gabentine and lives to tell the tale...
Eh, probably because it just sounds like more of ANFs newcomer friendly crap. I really don't get TTs lack of understanding, or care for, tel… moreling a cohesive story across multiple games with the series. Credit to TT though, unlike most companies they've genuinely meant you'd lose nothing if you didn't experience the previous games in the series.
(Much like Stryder said)
It means that each season is all self-contained, and they like it that way. A series where "your choices matter" that spans 4 seasons should have at least one or two big things for those who watch it. This isn't an anthology series (but that would be a nice idea for the Walking Dead) so all these events surrounding this character should have some impact or payoff to them. It also means that any conflict from the previous season won't carry on.
Granted, this is related to Telltale's Walking Dead. Any other series have a fair chance, since those don't have a season 2 or 3 or haven't ended yet. They still have time to shape an over-arching plot over 2 or more seasons, as for Clementine, not so much. Her story's ending.
Hopefully there's some callbacks or characters from previous seasons who return.
We obviously can’t say a release date until it’s officially announced through things like press releases and official tweets, etc. etc. That said, I can say that the game is coming later this year, and that we have a bunch of potential news-breaking places/conventions coming up where you may be able to hear more about a release date! PAX is just the beginning, folks
As far as the alpha tech demo footage being available later, that’s also a possibility! And with every person who says they want to see it, or who has watched the leaked footage that I TOTALLY DON’T KNOW ABOUT, that’s a push in the direction of releasing the footage officially - maybe after the first trailer, maybe with dev commentary? Idk, what would you guys like to see with that if it were to have an official release?
@mostlypoptarts @Alyssa_TTG this is a stupid question that you may not be allowed to answer but........ can we please get a release date? Or… more if the game is still going to be released in the Summer? I know it is quite a silly question but we would really like answers. And also about the exclusive footage..... it is called exclusive for a reason. Could we potentially see what the footage was in the foreseeable future? Sorry for the stupid questions but I am genuinely curious and extremely excited. EDIT: A forum member informed me that Staff have already said they can't answer questions related to what I asked in this current moment in time. I am deeply sorry for annoying any Telltale Staff....
Yeah, the kids are more than fine(if way past fuckin a bit late, general concept wise). The boarding school, on the otherhand, gives me the wrong idea of what kind of story this is.

Maybe you could do both versions - one with the plain footage and one with the dev commentary inserted over it? That sounds like a neat idea, and some of the fans would really appreciate it since I saw some people being disappointed over the lack of footage here on the forums.

Also, if you can answer this in regards to the demo that has footage you TOTALLY DON’T KNOW ABOUT -- is the engine being used the Telltale Tool or Unity?

Well, obviously.
Also, I really fuckin hope the villain in this isn't just another Evil White Man yet again. Take advantage of your [late af] emphasis on kids, Telltale!

This isnt related at all but I am curious if you can answer this, is Wolf S2 still planned to release in 2018? Just kinda curious seeing that S4 of TWD has seemingly been pushed back from when it was originally planned to release, so wondering if that means Wolf S2 will release in 2019 now.

While some of the new info sounds better. TT are gonna need to do a lot of work to earn my money after the disaster known as S3. I'm fine with the characters being teens but I hope that don't do the usual stereotypes that every scenario like this does.
I'm still not overly impressed. Will probs be the first TWD game that I wait on unfortunately. TT lost that trust and now they have to earn it back
In the headmaster’s office there’s an arrow stuck in the face of the portrait of presumably the headmaster, and Marlon is seen to be carrying arrows and using them as weapons so it can be assumed that he hated the headmaster and was using his picture as target practice, a nice little detail.
If there is anyone out there who has seen the exclusive footage. Would you be so kind as to provide a summary of what happened. I saw a 43 second leaked video of Clementine (without her hat) killing a walker with a brick but that's about it.
That’s pretty much all of the footage that was featured. The only thing that was remotely similar was a small clip showing off the animation that isn’t going to be in the actual game.

Someone on Reddit posted a summary of what happened, i will post it in the spoiler tag below.
She went in the house, found a knife and a guy who had shot himself in the head. Gun had no bullets so she left it before going back outside and killing some walkers with the knife. The Walker fights were QTEs but are now triggered free form by walking around in the explorable space.

Just so I know since I don’t really pay attention to when all these cons and events take place, when is the next big one coming up? I know we have San Diego in July, is there one before that or is that the closest one?

Alright, so a little more than 2 months away before we get anymore big news regarding TFS. I’d be really surprised if they didn’t have something planned for SDCC, so with that in mind, I could see them doing something like a release date, more info on the characters and cast at E3, and something like a trailer for SDCC. Just my speculation.
I feel the same, big events like E3 and SDCC are really good for exposure and they have announced big news at those events in the past so i fully expect to see news again this year.

Oh, gotcha! Thanks dog!
...Interesting setup....
That really depends on what you wanna count as shipping fuel, but I agree.
This season could honestly turn out really good or really bad...
No, Master Squid.
Also, that was mostly aimed at the screatures who had thread dedicated to complaining that lasted over 2 months.
For better or worse. I'm still kinda confused, tho.

Trueee I’m obviously gonna give it a chance but how are returning characters and flashbacks fit into this lmao

Yeah do both versions.
Holy shit this looks fucking amazing!!
More free gameplay, unscripted Walker encounters? fucking unscripted walker encounters!? A DOG!? Darker art tone?
I know I should get too excited but I am. So excited.
(Plus, I have a friend that has a dog named Rosie... )

But haven't you heard? Evil white men are what makes the world so evil! /s
I think its too early to be unity. They only just started doing workshops for people experienced with the engine, but I guess you never know.
I agree, just asking to get a definitive answer.
If I were to know about the leaked footage, I’d say that it was made using the Telltale Tool!
Christa is the Headmistress, yo.
And that's part of the reason it's so underwhelming.

And Molly is the main antagonist what a plot twist
Violet IS Molly, he lied.
Clem isn’t actually the playable protagonist in this game, Lily is.

I have updated this thread to include concept art and a archive of both streams under spoiler tags in the OP.

Maybe they will show us more at E3 or Comic Con ?

Did you get to see what was inside of the house?
Only in concept art, that’s about all we saw of the interior

E3 is the next big one i know about which runs from June 12th-14th.

So has anyone in PAX confirmed how long the timeskip is? Because I doubt it’s been years since ANF. It had to be a few months at most.
someone said 2y, and the other one said 3y or 5y
