  • That's because boys have been extremely underrepresented and not very positively when they were.

It says something that Gabe was [initially?] a considerable step forward.

Wish there were more female characters, most of them are males

  • I didn't watch this thing, but eh, not really.

Am I the only one who was joyed and relieved when the staff expressed their dislike towards ANF? It gave me hope about this season.

  • Ugh...personally speaking, I wouldn't have so much of an issue with it(and by a miniscule portion, ANF!Clementine herself) if they just left Gabe alone and didn't "pander" to a lot of people's shallow hangups by entertaining the idea.

At least then, I could still just pass the topic off as "I really don't care much generally, but I guess I wouldn't lose much more sleep if it was implemented okay enough."

I hate that there are so many of you that dont want romance in the game, when in every telltale game there has always been a degree of roma

Is this character seriously named Ten? I hope Yuri Lowenthal gets to play the character.

  • I did here/see something like that, given that he didn't really understand what her deal was.

But yeah, it doesn't erase what he said, nor the fact that he really shouldn't have said something to that effect in the first place.

  • ...They honestly didn't help, no.

Don't blame greg, blame telltale. They've really got a weird way of treating their fans at the best of time

  • Oh, WTF?!

So they just said we're starting the season off with AJ. No actual time developed to finding him, no big reunion between him and Clem, just goes right into a time jump and AJ is there. Remind me, what was the point of ANF again?

  • A bad thing.

"Each Season feels different." "We're going through Clementine's story, but they're all independent." Don't like that comment.

So is it safe to say Gabentine is dead now?

  • And like GT, it had a number of good ideas, characters, and premises, but the execution left more than a bit to be desired.

Looks like ANF is now the Dragon Ball GT of this franchise: some accept it but many denounce it.

  • Yeah and I liked Pan's design and the idea of the Shadow Dragons. Granted, I'm not one of those people who hate on GT either, but still.

Eh, probably because it just sounds like more of ANFs newcomer friendly crap. I really don't get TTs lack of understanding, or care for, telling a cohesive story across multiple games with the series. Credit to TT though, unlike most companies they've genuinely meant you'd lose nothing if you didn't experience the previous games in the series.

  • Which I thought was a missed oppurtunity for Gabe's development arc (like him or hate him), the option of giving him Mariana's music-player without it never being brought up again was a shame. There could've been a bit where Gabe would mention it to either Clem or David and it would've been a good little moment.

A-freaking-greed. The one character who actually should've had me give a shit about the girl and she never really comes up again.

I sorta knew that this season would try to show more kids Clems age. There's probably going to be moments where in the hubs Clem and another

    Well, obviously.

Also, I really fuckin hope the villain in this isn't just another Evil White Man yet again. Take advantage of your [late af] emphasis on kids, Telltale!

Not sure, but they did say there would be other characters being introduced as the season goes on. It isn't going to exclusively be the kid cast.

  • (Much like Stryder said)
It means that each season is all self-contained, and they like it that way. A series where "your choices matter" that spans 4 seasons should have at least one or two big things for those who watch it. This isn't an anthology series (but that would be a nice idea for the Walking Dead) so all these events surrounding this character should have some impact or payoff to them. It also means that any conflict from the previous season won't carry on.

Granted, this is related to Telltale's Walking Dead. Any other series have a fair chance, since those don't have a season 2 or 3 or haven't ended yet. They still have time to shape an over-arching plot over 2 or more seasons, as for Clementine, not so much. Her story's ending.

Hopefully there's some callbacks or characters from previous seasons who return.

We obviously can’t say a release date until it’s officially announced through things like press releases and official tweets, etc. etc. That said, I can say that the game is coming later this year, and that we have a bunch of potential news-breaking places/conventions coming up where you may be able to hear more about a release date! PAX is just the beginning, folks :)

As far as the alpha tech demo footage being available later, that’s also a possibility! And with every person who says they want to see it, or who has watched the leaked footage that I TOTALLY DON’T KNOW ABOUT, that’s a push in the direction of releasing the footage officially - maybe after the first trailer, maybe with dev commentary? Idk, what would you guys like to see with that if it were to have an official release?

@mostlypoptarts @Alyssa_TTG this is a stupid question that you may not be allowed to answer but........ can we please get a release date? Or

  • Yeah, the kids are more than fine(if way past fuckin a bit late, general concept wise). The boarding school, on the otherhand, gives me the wrong idea of what kind of story this is.

  • Maybe you could do both versions - one with the plain footage and one with the dev commentary inserted over it? That sounds like a neat idea, and some of the fans would really appreciate it since I saw some people being disappointed over the lack of footage here on the forums.

More free gameplay, unscripted Walker encounters? fucking unscripted walker encounters!? A DOG!? Darker art tone?

I know I should get too excited but I am. So excited.
