point/purpose of "your clementine became..."?

hi guys! i'm extremely new to the forums, so please bear with me and any mistakes i make. i was just curious, what do you guys think was the point at the end of s3 in showing us how our clementine turned out and the different personalities she could possess? will it have any impact on s4's story? i'm so curious because i feel like it was totally swept under the rug, and it's a really intriguing concept that i hope is incorporated somehow next season!

  • The point was to make it seem like your choices actually matter. It won't have any impact.

  • welp. that sucks

"Your Clementine Became" was just a little fun fact of information similar to the choice stats. It's not going to effect the way she acts in the final season. We will once again have control over Clem so for the most part we will be able to make Clementine act the way we want in the final season.

  • It's basically just a lie, they tell you what kind of person your Clementine has supposedly become based on a small number of choices.

  • Don't overthink it. I see it as a fun little thing that sums up your choices as Clementine and shows a unique version of her. It also helpfully explains her mindset when choosing who to go after in episode 5. For example, I played my Clem pretty morally and it said that despite her issues with David she chose to be the bigger person and try to save his life.

  • They added it so they could technically say they didn't lie about there being "42 Clementines"

  • I do not think it is that big of a deal either but I also hated mine. "A Reformed Loner". I just feel like there is a negative connotation associated with that. But maybe its just me.

  • ohh! when explained like that it makes a lot of sense. thanks!

i think what's cool about them is how each of the personalities seem canon and in character for how our clementines could turn out, no matter how different they all are. i like yours! its pretty badass. i got "Merciful Gunslinger", not too sure how i feel about it, though.

  • Thanks, yours is bad ass too. Like she's a survivor.

  • Didn't they say starting points though?

They added it so they could technically say they didn't lie about there being "42 Clementines"

  • To validate the surprising(?) number of people who were all in on the #MyClementine thing by embracing what a shell/projection her character had become.

Mm, true enough. I can somewhat appreciate that cloth.

I played my Clem pretty morally and it said that despite her issues with David she chose to be the bigger person and try to save his life.

Or [just] rescue Gabe. Whichever sneaker fits.
Though I suppose you do have two feet.
