What does Clementine mean to You?
Since The Walking Dead: The Final Season is coming pretty soon I was hoping I could get some insight on how players (and maybe some staff? ) view Clementine. When you look at Clementine what do you see? A symbol of hope? The light that shines through the dark of the world? Someone who is the physical embodiment of self reliance? Those are some examples so to help explain the question I am asking. Feel free to be as detailed as possible as I genuinely enjoy the reading ?

I would say that Clementine is like Danny Phantom to me. She's still young and trying to figure out the world, She has unbelievable skills to fight off enemies, And now and again needs to look to her friends and family to bounce her ideas of morality off of as she grows as a person. Her personality seems to vary too, as she can go from being dorky and wisecracking to being protective and Dead-serious when the time calls for it. And she has a strong will, as she can still have compassion and trust for people she has only known for a few days, though she has gone through many betrayals and unneeded danger because of it, and remembers it all.. And with what Clementine is setting out to do right now, Lee would be proud.
What's the point of having all these stories without anyone she could truly share them with? She's trying with all her ability to bring everyone she can trust and care for together, and End this journey to find some sense of normality to her life.
This is the song I would chose to represent this final stage of her life.
Grey paint.
I would say she is the toughest person that the world has ever known. She could've given up multiple times but instead fights on and lives through the hardships she faces. She has true grit, and I know that none of us are capable of being tougher than her.
...
Not a lot anymore. Loved her in Season 1, really cared about her. Season 2 Clem was more or less the same loving/caring feeling. But i lost all that when Season 3 hit due to the way they handled her character
In season 1 I saw her as a daughter-figure. You know how those fathers are always like "My little girl"? Like that. Season 2 it was like "ehhhh". ANF it was like "mehh".
Speak for yourself lol.
Clem is the charecter we grew with...Lee died protecting her and in a way he sold it so we continue his goal...to protect this girl from this world.
Technically it’s her plot armor that is protecting her
She's a friend of mine who needs better writing.
lmao
where????when????
Something from the produce section of the grocery store. And a character that is interesting yet also overrated at the same time. Something tells me if you had switched places and transferred all Clementine's characteristics to Duck people would think differently. Also if Clem were male like Duck and Gabe was changed to possible girlfriend crush the reactions could of been far less spirited.
That's so cool! Are you Javier or something? ^_^
The poster girl for how the apocalypse slowly corrupts all innocence. A wilting daisy of a soul trying to put on a facade of thick skin.
Not to say I think poorly of her character though
I just have been living with clem , Sounds messy. So many nights so many nightmares so many things i did for help her just as a savior. I know it so funny. I really have been contacting with this girl. ??♂️
I personally alway viewed Telltales TWD as a story following the toughest kid in the apocalypse. In S1 Clem is only a kid, but is guided by her mentor Lee in how to survive. Early on Clem is a fast learner and very capable for her age. In S2 Clem is only an 11 year old girl, yet she is more capable then most adults. She doesn’t let loss destroy her, she is self reliant, and pretty fucking strong for her age and size. So basically, to me, Clementine represents the strongest kid in the apocalypse.
Pixels on a screen.
I have noticed that there are a few clever comments on here.
While I do like to see some humour involved I was hoping for a more heartfelt, genuine and serious response to the question that I put forward.
I don't mean to sound bossy but for future posts could we try to give a serious answer to a serious, direct question? I am sorry if this comment comes across as bossy or cheeky but I was honestly hoping for a more mature response.
Some people are just lazy lol.
I don't how a 14 year old that can turn into a wraith at will is anything like a 13 year old girl that does whatever she has to in order to survive.
The only thing she's figuring out is how to survive, not how the world works. She knows the world is fucked up.
What's unbelievable skills does she have? The ability to kick a walking corpse that barely has any balance in the leg, and stabbing them in the head once dropping them? Who can't do that? I've seen a lot of people die in situations where that would've helped, but that's really basic. Other than that, all she does is shoot a gun, something everyone's doing so I don't see how it's unbelievable.
She only cares about AJ. The only reason she'd go back to Richmond with him is because it's safer, yet is less structured than before now that there's new leadership(I wouldn't really use the word "leadership" though, since Javi doesn't even want the job).
Yah, those are two different things, (I thought it was obvious that I wasn't trying to compare it in that regard) but I mean in personality/characteristics.
And if you want me to go into detail, let me rewatch the show first. It's been how many years since I last watched that show?
That's not what I mean at all. Remember the haircut scene when she was asking Javi about how to deal with loss? It's was her trying to understand how people can just move on after a life changing event leaves them with nothing but broken remains of their life before. She's gone through this twice, and she is still having a hard time coming to grips with what it means to move on from it. That's the type of thing I mean.
Okay, unbelievable might've been an overphrasing. (yah, I come up with my own words)
What I mean by that is she's "much more unique than the other guys".
Dat1Wizard explains it in plain english. And pretty well, too
You may say she doesn't care for him, but you can't say that she doesn't trust him. Think about all she has followed him through when she could've bailed out. (cough cough.. Episode 2) Also, considering that most of her final decisions involve going to save Gabe, she's got to have some feelings for him, too.
I mean I don't see how they're anything alike in terms of their personalities/characteristics, but you did say "to me" so I can't argue with that.
That's more of her trying to learn how to cope with loss, and figuring out how to suppress unwanted feelings, not "how the world works". Should've added something like that after
No argument on that lol
forgive me if it seems like im picking on you/coming off as an asshole, as I don't mean to offend, it's just that when I see something I don't think is right, I just point it out.
I guess
There's got to be some word out there that can express these collectively better, but it is apparent that saying "how the world works" is too vague, and can mean so many things that it confuses people.
I'll avoid that for now on. ?
None-taken
I thought it would be extremely cool to see the thoughts of Staff Members on Who Clementine is and how much she means to all of them so I am going to tag them. I am so so sorry if I am being extremely annoying or disrupting your concentration and hard work on The Final Season.
So @mostlypoptarts @emilybuckshot @Alyssa_TTG @kessjrause @mskenney may I ask you all who is Clementine to you and what does she mean to all of you? Do not be afraid to go into detail as I love reading Staff comments!
Again I want to apologise for being extremely annoying and if I am interrupting any of you and being a distraction. I hope you all have a fantastic day!
