Interesting...
Well, looks like the show is on its last run. Won’t be surprised if it ends around Season 10.
Still strongly feel they should have ended the whole show after this season. Althought these last few years have been really bad, the ending worked well enough for it to be a good ending for the whole series (minus the whole Maggie hates Rick shit) but knowing hes leaving is gonna make everyone just leave
They should have ended the show at S8, this show is done for.
Just let me see what Lee and Clem would look like before the curtain call, pleeease, AMC.
They should have ended the show at the end of Season 6. Negans storyline was toxic.
They lost me then
Rick is the heart and soul of this show. Without him, I think they're finished.
I feel the show has been really bad recently and with this news i feel like it's the beginning of the end, without Rick many of the story lines won't work so i feel season 9 should be the final season of the show.
I'm not sure about this..
and if Rick dies Daryl would be the main character ? Lol no way it's gonna work.
I'm not gonna panic,i'll wait and see what happens.
I kinda get the impression that the franchise has lost the hype it once had. I remember back in the 2011-2012 it was such a huge thing. But now it feels like the universe has lost the spark and it is running on fumes.
I stopped watching the show at Season 5 and have only kept half an eye on the show ever since. I have moved on from the setting and the last season if the game would probably be the last time I ever get into the setting again if I buy the game that is.
It is coincidental that both the game of Telltale and the shows went hand in hand with the decline in quality. But everything must come to an end one day.
Same, but I only recently started watching it again to see when heads stand without their natural support( If I haven't done it already, i'm trying not to spoil it for anyone who doesn't already know what happens)
Yeah, I feel that. I just don't want the games to end. I really enjoy their Walking Dead games( not so much A New Fluke).
At this point, AMC should honestly just cancel the show after this season. Much like the comics, I just can’t see the show without Rick, and Daryl is certainly not a good enough character to carry the show after him. With ratings continuing to decline, another new show runner coming in (the 4th after Darabont, Mazzara, and Gimple), the butchering of one of, if not the, best storylines in the comics, and now the actor of the main character leaving, it’s time to bring the show out back, grab your gun, and blow its brains out, ending its suffering.
cant see the show goes on without him, well not unless he dies in the comics and another character takes his place there. and they basing it on that storyline. but that's not the case seems like the actor wasent paid enough.
When you thought it couldn't get any worse after Carl's death, Maggie and Rick (THE FUCKING MAIN CHARACTER) are leaving the show.
Not surprised at all, the show started to lose entertainment after Season 6, no wonder it's losing a lot of viewers. It's too late to bring all of Kirkman's comics to the big screen because AMC can't keep the same actors forever. It became repetitive, Rick's group keeps making stupid decisions and killing Carl is one of the worst decision Scott Dickhead could have ever done to TWD franchise.
I lost my interest in Daryl, I don't hate him but I think he should have been the one to be Lucilled by Negan at the beginning of Season 7 because there was nothing else to make him the best part of the show. (It would have also been ironic because Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are best friends in real life). I would have loved to see Glenn's story after surviving Negan's execution.
The last episode that I enjoyed is Season 6 Episode 9, it felt like a great finale for the show. I never should have watched later episodes after that. I knew there was something wrong when Gimple just instantly killed Beth Greene in Season 5, she was one of my personal favorite characters.
