  • I have feeling Clementine will die in this last season. That was a foreshadowing moment. But I think it makes sense I mean look at the trailer screenshot? It looks like The First Season's one of The Walking Dead where Lee was protecting Clementine. So that is a lot similar to the first one. But I think she will die

  • Neat trailer. Clementine's model looks great but I kinda wish she still had those bags under her eyes from the alpha demo, I doubt she's been sleeping well. Dropping mobile is a really good move, ANF had some really questionable downgrades just to get it working on mobile devices (hello sprite zombies.wad).

  • Wait!! Everyone who pre-orders the game will receive download access to each of Season's Four episodes as they become available? Just Four episodes!?!! So no five episodes!?!?!

  • Because not everyone would have Kenny’s hat due to the S2 choices. Even those that stayed in Wellington, some may not have took the hat during the awful flashback.

You know Telltale have cast the past choices and games out of their minds, we won’t see anything like Kenny’s hat or any past references or in the new game

    Where is Kenny's hat?

  • I am amazed people are still looking forward to Season 4. I am glad to see people are still excited though but i still do not have faith that the game will be good. Better than S3 though i bet

  • Alyssa did say in an AMA last year they were keeping tabs on Kenny's hat so it is possible for it to make an appearance. Although plans are subject to change especially given how early this comment was made

James Windeler is our Lead Writer, Michael Kirkbride is our Lead Designer, and Kent Mudle is our Creative Director. You might recognize those names recently from Batman: The Enemy Within :)

James and Kent will be joining the PR/Marketing team at E3. We're still firming up our schedule, but we'll be appearing on livestreams talking about the game all next week.

Oh and may I ask..... who are The Lead Writers for The Walking Dead: The Final Season? Sorry if I am putting you into a tricky spot. Feel free to ignore that question if it is something that you can't say at this time

  • Well I don’t see how it can be included unless choices carried over (which it definitely won’t). Plus it’s not important anyway

Here's hoping they wrap it up nicely, I can tell they're trying to play on our fears that Clem might die. I'm half sure it's just gonna be a red herring to get us nervous. I'm thinking they wont actually follow through with it, since I don't think Clem getting bit is all that much different from season one's ending. I think it just serves as a callback to Lee and showing us Clem has learned how to deal with stuff like that. But yeah so far this has way more potential than ANF.

    awesome.

If you pre-order on PS4 or Xbox One, you'll also receive immediate access to The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection

TWD Collection being a pre-order bonus is actually quite useful for once. Previously, I owned all those bonuses, but considering the Collection is a separate entity from the original products/downloads on PS4/XOne, this one I can download and use. (Still bummed that the pre-order theme for the Coll. is forever lost tho. I'd have paid good money for it seperate.)

I gotta say, Telltale is being much too generous with their pre-order bonuses. Giving people full games of yours for nothing? When those series/editions were released not even a year ago? That's kind of unfair to those who bought it at that time of release and afterwards.

Also... 20$ pre-order. Okay. So, does that mean 25$ Canadian? (Let's face it it'll probably be 30.)

And the all-new Graphic Black art style brings the world of the comics to life like never before

Someone make this picture black-and-white. I guarantee it'll look like the comics. That dark, almost pitch black corner of the basement looks like it could be drawn with ink.

In addition, The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be fully dubbed in French, German, Latin-American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese! It will also be subtitled in all those languages, plus Italian, Russian, and both traditional and simplified Chinese. Episode one voice packs and translations will be available for download on launch day, and honestly, we're thrilled with the results we're seeing (and hearing) so far.

Cool that they're doing this. I'm sure people will be pleased.

Ohhh, people involved with Batman: The Enemy Within (amazing, amazing, amazing!) Now I'm happy and relieved. The season 4 will be good.

James Windeler is our Lead Writer, Michael Kirkbride is our Lead Designer, and Kent Mudle is our Creative Director. You might recognize thos

  • Thank you so much thank you so so much!

  • I think I just got shot in the feels. THE FEELS! I can't believe AJ is talking, TALKING! Jesus when is this set!?!?! It's gotten be a couple of years ahead. Graphics look really nice, and the sequence is very well shot and the conversation they have kills me. Can't believe how different our baby girl looks too [is she wearing a denim jacket? T.T if that is one I'm so friggin happy. I wrote her in a fic once wearing a denim jacket and I'm so freaking out right now! And looky at that poor hat, the thing is falling apart.] Also just noticed Clementine is using a hip bone as the point for the end of her spear to catch fish. clever.

But clearly to answer the question at the end, Clementine will not get bitten, because h-happy times! Unless.....this is going to have alternative endings isn't it? Cause if there is, then lord have mercy! T.T

  • Seems like the information leaked yesterday is pretty good, meaning that there will probably be 4 episodes to this season. If they're going to be long, fine, but if we're talking ANF length, unacceptable.

As for the teaser, it looks AMAZING! Everything already looks so much better than it did the previous season, the attention to detail and the lighting far exceeds anything Telltale has done before (I heard the reason they're not releasing it on mobile is because of new techniques they're using that aren't supported on those devices). But that last line terrifies me to no end. It would feel like a retread of S1 to have Clem die, especially if it's going to be at the hands of AJ, it's just a role reversal. But so far, I like the direction of the new season, which I've been saying since Telltale's panel a couple of months ago when they released info regarding characters and setting. Hopefully this season holds up.

  • That was something I was wondering, if this was an actual scene or just made for a trailer, so thanks for answering.

FYI, just to clear this up sooner rather than later... this teaser was custom-made (i.e. this scene doesn't appear in the game), but it was written and directed by our season-leads and made in-engine.

  • Good pickup, and I'm hoping the rest of the season continues that trend. A big complaint I had with ANF was that it was a lot of "action" and with Telltale's style, that's not a good thing. Games like this need attention when it comes to character relations, not endless walker killing every 5 or so minutes.

This is fucking awesome. Notice how the trailer focuses on the relationship of Clem and AJ and not shoot’em up action stuff like ANF. This looks promising.

What happens if you already own The Walking Dead: The Collection? Also will The Final Season be in The Collection? @mostlypoptarts

  • The animation is fucking excellent. Like almost AAA level.

  • Yeah, I do love this. Watched it 4 times already.

The teaser is focused on the characters, and not the plot of the Final Season. That's a good direction to start us off with.
If I'm correct, this environment they're in is the same one shown at the PAX West (East? Whichever one was a few months ago) and that one is in the real game... right?

Huh. Reminds me of this trailer. It's about the characters, features an environment from the full game, short but sweet.

  • So, only 4 episodes in total?

  • So it's official that this season will only be 4 episodes long. Fine, if the episodes are long, I'll tolerate it, but if it's going to be ANF levels, than that's not acceptable.

  • Might I ask, what role will Nick Breckon be playing with this final season. He was the head writer of Season 2, was the lead writer on 3 of the 5 episodes, but only had a co-writing credit on the first two episodes of ANF. Is he going to be writing for the season, or is he no longer involved with the project?

  • Working on it now. It needs to render and then I'll get it uploaded to YouTube, should be another hour or so (process takes a long time).

  • If you already own it, nothing happens.
You just get the satisfaction of owning it before others.

I don't think The Final Season will be included. It's already been released for consoles, and on disc, AND has been advertised and shown to only have Seasons 1-3 + Michonne.

    Sorry.

  • Will we be getting a proper trailer at E3?

  • I know that is still a couple of months before we find out for ourselves but going off the names of people involved, the tech demo, the "Last Bullet" Trailer, Telltale changing up their formula and some other things I can say quite confidently that The Final Season will be good!

Hey uh... is that a dig at this trailer? :joy:

This is it, video-wise, for a bit. We'll have an episode trailer or something similar (more about the story and gameplay, etc.) closer to launch. Other trailer plans aren't final yet!
