@mostlypoptarts confirmed that the video they posted today is all we will be getting for now with a trailer coming closer to launch.
This is it, video-wise, for a bit. We'll have an episode trailer or something similar (more about the story and gameplay, etc.) closer to launch. Other trailer plans aren't final yet!
@kikyouchanx@Prickly_Pringle Apparently, this game is coming out on everyone's bday. Somebody on youtube named catgoddness said its coming out on their bday as well lol.
I think it would be too obvious an ending. Although I must admit that the emotional load involved will be extreme (for who accompanied Clem throughout his journey so far).
Probably just a red herring, to be honest. Based on some kinda cryptic tweets from TellTale people, I expect in the end the players will have to choose between sacrificing Clem to save AJ or letting him die to keep Clem alive.
I would hope that we would get to see the other characters and hear their voices, but they may just wait for when they pop the Ep1 trailer in late july/early august. But I hope they at LEAST talk more about the backstory for these characters! I want to get to know them better before we seem them in game.
Omg I haven't been on this forum in over a year but I am so excited for this new season. The trailer looks great! I really hope Telltale takes full advantage of these 4 episodes. I will be really disappointed if the episodes are ANF-episode length rather than the length of season 1's episodes.
AJ: "Carry a boombox, play Micheal Jackson's Thriller."
Clemmy: " _What do you do if I get bit?."
AJ: " Give you the Sarita special from #2 ~ extra gore, hold the screams."
Seriously though this game looks bitchin! These animations are immaculate like Michonne times ten. I guess doubters might soon have to put down the pitchforks and pick up the table forks to eat their words with a slice of humble pie. This is okay because that is a proud meal that would be so good for them and everyone in general. High five on the trailer and a toast to hoping the rest of the game will be two thumbs way up just like the original.
P.S. If Clementine dies....At least you guys didn't let AMC one up you with Carl and Rick. Would take massive balls for both studios so I hope TTG goes all out this time.
When you think about it, it’s really not all that good. Idk about you, but the majority of the people here already played seasons 1,2,&3. If you spend $20 preordering this, that means you will get the season pass, as well as the complete set of the series on one disc/digital. But since you already bought them before, you’re really not getting anything. All this does is save you the trouble of having to individually purchase each episode of season 4 upon their release. If im not wrong, you’ll still have to wait for the episodes to release just like everyone else who doesn’t preorder.Yeah you get to have them all in one, but if you already had them to begin with, its not all that much of a win. Someone correct me if im wrong
Yes, only 4 episodes. MCSM came in with 8 for it's first season, why can't TWD go out with as many? There has been some speculation that the episode length will be much longer than what we've become accustom to, which would justify them not having to stretch the story across 5 episodes.
However, being this is the "Final Season" (as far as Clementine's story arc goes) it would be admirable if they at least ATTEMPTED to tie up most, if not every loose end. Everyone that claims they want ANF just left out/skipped are simply being asinine. Bad season or not, we should at least get a line or two about the place falling [think Wellington in S3] which would explain the absence of the Garcia's [ANF ended with them alive, but by TFS, dead]. It also wouldn't hurt to cover a tidbit about Clem's journey to the ranch and make an effort to mention of Christa, Lilly, Molly, and Lee. There has to be some level of fan-service.
Wait!! Everyone who pre-orders the game will receive download access to each of Season's Four episodes as they become available? Just Four episodes!?!! So no five episodes!?!?!
Am I the only who’s wondering, what the heck happened during the time-skip? I want to see Clementine reuniting with AJ at The Mccaroll Ranch, maybe in a flashback?
But for players wanting to get in this is massive. I've talked to several friends who are stoked to preorder for the complete series. Never said everyone wins but getting more players into the series is excellent!

I feel bad for them. they’re going experience TWD all at once, finish it, and want more? For us we waited years between each release so when it ends it wont hurt us as much
But for players wanting to get in this is massive. I've talked to several friends who are stoked to preorder for the complete series. Never said everyone wins but getting more players into the series is excellent!

Honestly I can see Episode lengths being increased to compensate for the exclusion of an Episode 5. Telltale certainly have the resources to pull it off as The Final Season at this moment in time seems to be top priority. I am aware that I am pulling that idea out of air but it would make sense for Telltale to increase Episode lengths and ensure it is rich with story and character development
However, being this is the "Final Season" (as far as Clementine's story arc goes) it would be admirable if they at least ATTEMPTED to tie up most, if not every loose end.
Eeeeeh, I'm barely of two minds about that myself.
Everyone that claims they want ANF just left out/skipped are simply being asinine.
Oh that, I agree.
Bad season or not, we should at least get a line or two about the place falling [think Wellington in S3] which would explain the absence of the Garcia's [ANF ended with them alive, but by TFS, dead].
That's not a loose end. In fact, they're one of the very select few things that aren't.

Interesting trailer. I like the look so far. The graphics look far cleaner than ANF. Part of me is still hesitating to buy this game. Maybe because of my slightly sour memories of ANF, maybe because of my aversion to dark and emotional stories, but mostly because I know that I will feel sad because this is the final story for Clementine.
I think that image above is at the train station as the area looks similar to the concept art of the train station. And the trailer that was released earlier takes place in the same area as the Tech Demo that was shown at PAX. The bridge, the blue car and the run-down house are present in both the footage and the official trailer
In fact, I went to check the source, and it's just the title of the story on the Brazilian site Gamevicio, whose source is Telltale's websit… moree. Unfortunately officially the Tease is mentioned as part of the E3 official schedule. To not lose travel, below is an image available on Telltale's website (https://telltale.com/news/2018/06/behind-the-scenes-crafting-a-compelling-teaser-for-the-walking-dead-the-final-season/):
Am I the only who’s wondering, what the heck happened during the time-skip? I want to see Clementine reuniting with AJ at The Mccaroll Ranch, maybe in a flashback?
I have to agree with Dave on this one. I never got around to playing S1 until ANF was fully released. Prior to that I was just a simple fan of the show & comic, there's rarely any talk about the game on regular TWD forums. TSDF certainly doesn't cover it, and I've actually been one to try and casually bring it up.
...Sooo, swiftly chop her arm(or other bite location) off?
The scientific translation yes..
Better keep yours handy.
Never a doubter of S4. Been a believer ever since the staff got more involved with the fans after they flopped on S3. Though it would be far better for doubters to have to eat than believers, for this means the game will be a relative success.
...What?
Would be a bit comical if TTG and AMC had a competition of sorts.. over who's the bravest in killing off their giant characters regardless of fan tantrum. Game Of Thrones would take that crown though no pun intended.

So only 4 episodes then. Well let’s see if each will be 2-3 hours in length. I doubt it though. The only way this game will be good is if they literally replicate everything they did in Season 1, the amount of hubs, character interaction and development, optional things to do and plenty of gameplay. Otherwise it will be still considered a failure to me
I hope these beautiful graphics will be how the final game looks. Or if they can take it a step further and polish them a bit more would be worthy of applause.
Assuming this is in the final game unlike ANF's teaser, this looks to be better. I hope this is what the actually game will be like and this… more isnt something just made for the teaser.
Really hoping itll be like this, because I think its going in a better direction already.
But for real, how old is Aj? My man looking 3 years old but talking like hes an English professor.
Comments
rolled a masculine sweat in her eyes when she asked the question at the end of the teaser.
It comes out on my birthday!
I think so, I read on a page about games that this is a pre-E3 teaser.
Could you show me the link please?
Oh, yeah, same here!
It would be incredible, but I think we will be without him.

They should Wolf above Batman too, my man dying down there RIP homie
Cool trailer, still looks weird how Telltale's engine doesn't render shadows from hair. It makes it look off
I am a bit angry how PC players don't get the previous seasons if they pre-order.

I still can't believe how good that PS4 preorder is. The entire series for 20 dollars! WHAAAAT???!
No IOS or Android releases
Also the Story Generator is returning

considering they should of give refunds for ANF,i'd say there even xD

No, that is definitely a shortcut that needs to be a.given a visual recap and/or b. get elaboration and expounding later.

You & me both!
Holy cow! Clem's sidekick in the last season is Rallo from "The Cleveland Show"!
Telltale please don't do that. It's not too late.

I agree. Despite all the technical/gameplay enhancements, I'm curious as to how well the story and characters will progress in a 4 episode series.
It could work if the episodes are extended in length to make up for It, but I'm not hopeful of that happening.
I hope these beautiful graphics will be how the final game looks. Or if they can take it a step further and polish them a bit more would be worthy of applause.
The GOTG forum is dealing with a fate worse than death
