It's foreshadowing the end of The Walking Dead series. At least, the end of Clem's story. IF they make any more they'll feature entirely new people, but they probably won't make anymore. I think they lost the rights to do any more after the final season after the shitshow that was ANF, along with their general nosedive in quality across the board.
i believe telltale has said in the past that they may do more walking dead games with other characters, but this is it for clem, in terms of games she appears in

Perhaps, but this being the final season plus that new walking dead game from someone else coming out soon, it can be inferred that TellTale could have lost the rights to continue making walking dead games after this last one.

Not really. That other game you're speaking of is just going to be a "Payday" version of TWD. Also, if there was the kind of licensing restrictions in place that you suggest, Scopely would've never been able to create TWD:Road to survival in 2015.

I wouldn't know. Everything else has been so shitty I stopped playing their games. I'm willing to see TWD series through because I'm invested in Clem's story but I can't be bothered to buy anything else after being let down. I'm still super salty about the game of thrones game being so shit.

I'm aware, which is why their quality took such a hit and is why I no longer buy their games, save for the walking dead because like I said, I'm invested in Clem's story and want to see it through. Other than that though, I'm done with TT out of principle. Maybe, maybe if the final season is fantastic it'll get me to give their other games a shot again, but we'll just have to wait and see.

It could just mean telltale will miss working about clementine....but you never know.
The fact that ANF was a disappointment did not imply the loss of copyright for publication, only that a new direction had to be taken.

all the feels. wow. its been a while since i visited this forum, but im equally as excited and anticipating this final journey. wow.
See the town in the distance? They'll finally reach town mentioned in season 2 ep. 4.
Oh, so they're still in Virginia, huh?
I don't know. Town was far away.
Nosedive in quality across the board? Play Batman season 2. Come back to me.
You're referring to the TellTaleAMA post on reddit where the user stated they'd like to make up to 8 seasons?

Good point!
i believe so
'Nosedive in quality' uhhh wat? Batman: TEW was the 2nd best game they've ever made!

Game Of Thrones was made at a time when Telltale had several titles under development, without focusing on any specifically.
