Is there any chance we see...in season 4
I was wondering if there was any way that we might see Nate the villain from 400 days back I thought he was pretty good and was rushed over to quick. What do you guys think.

There's a theory going around that Nate was shown in the latest teaser for TFS. If they did do it, I would look at him as a new character because we know little to nothing about him and he's too much of a side-character.
I can say he has two diffrent eye colors in this. Nate had the same eye color on both on his eyes is S1
Good catch. Could just be the way the light is reflecting or maybe they changed his appearance a little bit. The other eye is definitely the same color as nates
That would be awesome. Put in a character that most people probably won't even recognize and has never met Clementine would be a terrific nod to hardcore fans, and is definetely more believable than Lilly or Christa showing up

Wasn't the last time we briefly saw Nate even longer ago than the last time we saw Christa, and by a good amount of time? Unless the qualifications for believability are the characters never met until now despite both last being seen around the same area over 4 years ago, odds seem pretty bad all around. I don't know, I guess if we're stretching believability I'd rather have someone I remember back.
All i’m just saying is that it could look like Nate but who knows. In season 2 many people thought Jane was Anna, Molly’s sister and in a new frontier people thought that that a woman with the new frontier was Lilly
Didn't they say a S1 character is going to return? Doesn't mean that Nate can't return because they said that there may be "some" returning characters but I wonder if they count Nate as a S1 returning character.

I personally don’t think they would reveal a returning character in a trailer because that would kinda spoil the whole “shock value” thing.
It's more because Clem and Nate have never met. Having Christa and Clem just stumble upon each other again 6 years later in a completely different part of the country is a bit of a stretch to say the least. Nate and Clem meeting would be less of a stretch because they've never met in the first place

The sideburns, nose and eyebrows all look pretty similar. Though if it is him he kinda resembles Sam from U4 now lol
I like to think of Nate in 400 days as a character concept since most of Russell's story was spent shining the spotlight on his traits while Russell just acted as a straight man to his antics
If it is him I hope the writers have him keep his role as the wild card since that's what made him an entertaining character in the first place
Im really hoping Nate is who was in the trailer and will be the antagonist, as well as being the season 1 character who returns. Nate was a great character and would be great to see him expand , also because Clem hasn't met Nate it doesnt feel jarring and "fake" for them to meet.
Meh.
It might be him at the end of the trailer, it might not.

Eh, Russel's story was essentially an unorthodox afterschool special. And Nate himself is just your typical Anti-Role Model character in an apocalyptic setting--only meant more to underline Russel's hesitance to trust/follow people.

Another thing one has to ask...Will the people that played S1 once 6 years ago still rememeber Lily or Christa or Molly if Telltale chooses to bring them back? That makes Nate an even more solid choice to return. It won't matter if people rememeber him because he has no prior connection to Clementine
