And I'm not going to buy into this unless Telltale does pledge that these episodes are at least on the two-hour mark. It's something that shouldn't be assumed. And them not confirming this is only questioning to me if they know that it's not going to be at this hour mark.
I agree with this. They are refusing to talk about episode lengths - even after some people begged Telltale numerous times. Hopefully this just means they don't want to pull another ANF by making false promises.
Okay.... EVERYONE knows that ANF was a developmental shitshow. It was completely rewritten right before it was released, it threw out the s2… more endings in 5 minutes, Clementine and AJ were relegated to a side story, we were lied to about episode 1 being too big, there weren't actually 42 different Clementine personalities... and so on.
Exactly, that's why I don't trust them. I have no belief in them creating this final season to be great. CEO or not, there's no excuse for this, and I'm not going to forgive such a transgression. Maybe you can, and that's fine. But I didn't spend all of this time from Season 1 and 2 for a lot of the choices to be completely negated in the next instalment. And this to me is huge, because your choices is what made The Walking Dead so important. To me, there's no drive or incentive for this Final Season, and this pains me because I want The Final Season with Clementine to be amazing, but after that travesty? … [view original content]
Especially with four episodes, it's a requirement. I can't think of any downsides for Telltale to confirm this unless they specifically know it's not going to be two hours per episode.

@mostlypoptarts Can we hope for a confirmation on this?
You guys should stop tagging @mostlypoptarts. I know we have a lot of important questions for @mostlypoptarts that @mostlypoptarts could probably answer, but @mostlypoptarts is probably busy doing @mostlypoptarts stuff. @mostlypoptarts
Guys, stop with the gimmicky username tagging abuse please. It was funny for the first few posts but it's getting a bit spammy (and derailing the thread) at this point. Let's get back on topic please!
After seeing the teaser today, all I have to say is that the final season looks absolutely incredible and I'm even more hyped than before. Like i said, so much of the negativity is unfounded by this point and I'm so glad the haters will be proven wrong.

Acting as if we know for sure how TFS will do before it's even released makes one come off as God complex'd as it gets, either be it to the negative extreme, or the positive extreme.

I'm just kidding, it's not like that kind of pessimism is completely unfounded. We'll find out if you're right in a month, but I'm very optimistic about the game personally. I think it's going to be great.
I will be honest, the gameplay looks like it has been improved significantly, I'm really liking that camera work as well, props to the people who worked on that.
It's too early to make a judgement, I'm still being cautious with how the first episode will release, but I will say I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.
If the gameplay showcase didn’t slightly ease your skepticism at the very least, I don’t know what will. That was by far the best gameplay/action segment I’ve every seen in a Telltale game.
Amen to that bro. The gameplay was stunning. Never ever expected it from Telltale and I have been rooting for them since The Final Season was first announced

As said by Kent Mudle “This season is the end of Clementine’s journey, and that’s as much as I’ll say on that.” which many news outlets and other contributors here have deduced this won't be the last TWD entry we'll get from Telltale. That being said, why so serious?
The 15 minutes of game play certainly convinced me that they've cleaned up their act and have a clear sense of direction for Clem's final story.
Besides, we have more staff from Batman TEW helping on this. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but no one from ANF is on this and perhaps most of the ANF people were laid off when they downsized.
Either way, Telltale can't please everyone but to me it sounds like there are more of us that are optimistic and happy we're getting another entry, period. Take it or leave it, but quit complaining unless you're going to purchase the rights to her character from Telltale Games, license TWD from Kirkman and try and do things better. The negativity doesn't have to stop all together because we know it won't, but it does need better moderation. Telltale Games isn't a huge developer like Square-Enix or something, we shouldn't expect to have it all across 4 episodes. Let's just appreciate what we do have to look forward to, which IMO is a lot. S1-S3 should've looked like this! I can't wait.
Also, all future TWD entries like the rest of TT titles will be on Unity, so let's appreciate our last Telltale Tool TWD entry for what it is everyone, geez!

Not too bad, really appreciated the length and the amount time spent with each character, and the humor was mostly good. Looking forward to the rest of the season. Keep up the adequate work.

P.S I'm still going to eat that dog
Yeah it worked out for the best, I really did enjoy it, for the most part. I guess I can't say much here, but it felt good being with Clem again and not having her leave constantly. The first two acts were everything I want in a Telltale game.
I'm disappointed that this final season is only 4 eps. Anf got 5 eps. Minecraft and game of thrones got 6 eps. This season should've gotten at least 6 eps with the most being 8. This season got 1 more ep than that walking dead dlc. Which was 3 eps.

Good job thread, it took you guys a whole five minutes to say something negative. That might be a new record!!
By "something negative" do you mean saying "@mostlypoptarts "? I didn't know @mostlypoptarts was "negative"

Don't buy into your own hype Telltale, you still don't got this, the teaser was a swing and a miss.
Wow
You're really devoted to being completely negative and making everyone else miserable as well and it rubs me the wrong way. Nobody appreciates it

The art style doesn't really look fixed to me...
~There was a meme here. It's gone now.~

Well we got a gameplay sneak peak and it was fucking awesome.
So much hype. I feel sorry for those of you that are forcing yourself to hate this already. It's going to be amazing.
I won't make a super long comment so I will keep this short and simple. Telltale...... You guys got this

I said that before we got the new teaser and gameplay - both of which have given me hope of this game actually being good.
TFW you put your faith in Telltale and they outdid themselves in every aspect
Was it that good? I haven’t played
Yeah it was awesome to be honest

Nah bro you need to eat that crow like you promised us a few months back
That's why I'm here. Would have been here a half hour ago, but I couldn't find the thread.
It was good, I was wrong, I stand before you humbled and wrong. I would flog myself but I have miss placed my flogger
Haha i think it's best for everyone that Telltale managed to prove us wrong and deliver an amazing premiere
