  • I agree with that idea, i want someone similar to negan, someone that can break clem mentally, before she fights back completely, I want someone to slowly make her feel uneasy a lil bit.

  • Yes sir, I like villains like that, it almost allows her to face her own demons

  • I think that Lily would be an interesting antagonist

  • I will just have to wait and see. Thank you anyway.

I want a antagonist in this FIINAL SEASON to be someone say similar to David (no, not Javi's brother) the David from THE Last of Us, who was cunning, creepy and pretty much a challenging person to someone like Ellie. I want someone like that, although with a little bit of crazy unpredictability added in.

  • Norma and Randall were without a doubt both very underrated and very underused. They worked off each other extremely well with Norma being the voice of reason (and the one that actually starts to make to sense when you sit down and really listen to what she's saying) while Randall was just a kill now ask questions later type of guy, doing what he thought he had to to protect his home.
I think they tried to do that with Badger and Joan, but Badger was a little TOO evil just for the sake of being evil. You knew why Randall was the way he was and did what he did. Joan just never really made any sense and was just kind of forgettable and uninteresting

    1. A Carver 2.0, without much backstory or development

    2. An undead Ramsay Bolton to be resurrected from dog shit and cross over just to taunt Clementine and AJ with his plot armor

    3. A generic "kill them all villain" (Bandits, Russians, Monroe, ANF) type group who exist for no other reason to be evil fucktards

  • How about.... an insane death cult bandit leader who also is super insecure but has some backstory?

  • A Carver 2.0, without much backstory or development

    So, just Carver.

A generic "kill them all villain" (Bandits, Russians, Monroe, ANF) type group who exist for no other reason to be evil fucktards

Pretty sure the only ones to remotely qualify are the Save Lots Bandits and even they were more about being hopped up than outright killing everything.

Eh, honestly, part of the problem with Joan's character derailment is the simple fact that it makes Badger's actions and existence feel pointless from a morally complex standpoint.

Joan just never really made any sense and was just kind of forgettable and uninteresting

Really? She gave the exact motivation for her operation that also affected David and the rest of the New Frontier.
If anything, the closest thing to a serious hiccup in her plan was the fact that Badger was increasingly out of control, something that could've been solved(or at least dealt with) if he & Max finished stocking up and regained contact.

  • Bull. The Russians were the most generic evil group in all of the series anyone could have told you they'd have fired at first sight of them. The New Frontier is like horribly squabbled potential. No complexity, no reason, hell the fuckers fit the "kill them all" cliche so well that instead of focusing on the walkers attacking their community, they try killing Javier instead. So yeah...

I would rather there be two antagonists, one a more classic Villain and the other more sympathetic, each with their own group. But instead of just having them try to kill us and take over. Each of them is trying to kill the other and Clem and the delinquents are caught in the middle. So we have to decide between 4 choices, help antagonist A or B, try to stay neutral, or work to make peace between them.

  • More than one allegience and morality of villain would be nice, yes.
An Evil vs Evil setup would be an interesting change of pace as well.

  • When I think about it, I can't remember any villain in TWD universe that was some kind of cult leader. I think that would be interesting. Or maybe, since the main group seems to be composed of only children, a villain who is a leader of a community that is going to attempt to indoctrinate them.

  • Oberson, Carver(maybe), David, and Mason were probably written with that type of thing in mind initially.

  • Okay, please explain to me what in depth and understandable motivations would cause someone to fire at a group (with children in it) for nothing at all (at least in my playthrough), throwing a bitch fit over some pudding, flooding an entire town with walkers and tear gas and holocausting it's inhabitants just because some generic bald guy says so?

I don't know about in-depth at the moment, but :

cause someone to fire at a group (with children in it) for nothing at all (at least in my playthrough

The Russians were really only there to get even for Jane robbing Arvo. And even then, it only went as far as it did because Buricko is an aggressive dick.

, throwing a bitch fit over some pudding

Max mentions before he leaves the room that another group rolled over on them previously under presumably similar circumstances, leading him to consider Javier a potentially guilty party until decided otherwise.
Unfortunately, he just got more reason to adhere to that.

flooding an entire town with walkers and tear gas and holocausting it's inhabitants just because some generic bald guy says so?

Badger's just a scumbag, yes. The soldiers under his command are either similarly bad or just didn't care.

As for the New Frontier itself(or really, Joan and those in on her backdoor operation), there was that whole Winter situation from the previous year that led to them losing quite a bit, as well as apparently numerous instances of trusting the wrong people. The fact that there is apparently a "Go-ahead" require to conduct the raids, many of the raided settlements still standing, and Joan herself being an ambassador goes to show that they were relatively well thought out and planned to reduce as much collateral as possible. Why raiding specifically was chosen as the solution to their precaution'd concerns is unfortunately never fully explained before priorities shifted.

  • Something like the whispered not the whole disguise thing but a group you can tell has become desperate for survival to the point if insanity.

  • Maybe but like I said, I can't remember seeing any proper religious cult in TWD universe so that would be something original, at least in terms of appearing in TWD.

  • i just want someone creepy; the utter eerieness is what i miss most of season 1. i miss that feeling of being absolutely unnerved while hearing the stranger's monologue for the first time; opening the bathroom door to see mark legless; the strange, pedophilic vibe of Danny st john that was tastefully rarely touched upon, etc. i really hope this season can execute something like that

  • I would like an antagonist with a unconfertable vibe too. Like the type of character to go "oh god not again" everytime you see them.

  • AJ is the villain of season 4 lol

Seriously, though, as much as I rail on the idea of Lily or Christa or anyone from seasons 2 or 3 showing up, it would be really interesting if they were leading a group that we end up clashing with and end up being the main villain we have to contend with. Will your Clem cast aside old relationships and go straight into "fuck this bitch I'ma kill her" mode or will your Clem try to make peace with someone she used to call a friend? If Clem tries to make peace, will she even be able to or will it be ultimately fruitless?
