Potential of a Garcia Spinoff Game
Telltale has made sure to clarify over and over that TFS will just be the end of Clementine's story, not Telltales relationship with TWD altogether.
its also really interesting how the Garcias and Joan/Clint were originally supposed to be part of TFS, but were later written out.
And how many people have said that ANF should've just been it's own stand alone game and not affected the main storyline?
I think Telltale took those words to heart, and depending on how well TFS season sells, plan on making a game completely surrounding the Garcias.
If this DOES happen, would you play it? How well do you think it'll sell, and do you honestly think it could be any good?

I don't think it will sell particularly well for a Telltale Game. A large chunk of why people played A New Frontier was because Clementine was in it, without that what do the Garcia's have to offer as far as being good characters? And seeing how most of them can die it might be too much of a struggle to make
this is exactly what I'm thinking, they said it was only the end of clems story at the same time they said the garcias were no longer in this season. I think their spinoff after s4 will be a prequel to s4, basically aftermath of richmond and we'll see a clem and aj cameo right after she'd of just got him from the ranch
I was definitely in the camp who felt ANF should have been a separate spinoff rather than trying to make a sequel, definitely would have benefited if it had been. That said, I'm not sure how well it would do, as I've heard ANF didn't do so well itself, and I would not be playing it or interested in it, I wouldn't have played ANF had it been a spinoff instead of tragically marketed as a continuation.
Maybe they are gonna continue the series with Aj?
BUT you still could import your saves into ANF and just auto generate all the ANF choices and import THAT to the final season
To me SEASON 3 is a SPINOFF
Honestly, it really does make preordering it for the collection a bit more tempting since you can, and I do tend to do a series run through ahead of a new release lol
Depends.
Also, was Mr. Barnes really gonna be a big return regardless? Poor guy have, like, no chance at having an effective role in ANF itself.
They could just do what some people might suggest for Clementeen or what Telltale probably should've did to begin with and say "Fuck it, make a game regardless."
As much as I don't give a shit about TWD, I kinda feel like TFS should probably be it for Clementeen and Alvin Junior, with the latter going on to whatever adventures he could hypothetically get up to offscreen.
Have you not visited the main community forum? TWD has the most discussions and potential out of mostly everything Telltale has released so far. Sure, Stranger Things will certainly make for an interesting new title and TWAU2 is also a certified seller. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the idea of a Garcia spinoff/continuation wouldn't sell good.
There's a lot of people that would play it OR ANY type of spinoff simply because it's another TWD entry, plain and simple.
Nah, continuing the series as AJ would most likely just piss people off.
Probably was planned on being a member of the adult group. Again, I don't know why they WOULDN'T do that unless they had future plans for the characters(we really need soemthing better to call them than 'adult group')
I hope not. Besides Javier and David, I did not care at all for the Garcias especially their dysfunctional and poorly created relationships.
Then you have a bad understanding of what constitutes a spinoff, pal. What happened between S2 and TFS, then? IN YOUR MIND, AJ and Clem were never separated and lived happily in Wellington until TFS? Or if you had them go with Kenny or Jane, where are they in TFS? lol, reviewing some of the delusions on this forum are always a great way to pass time.
I guess it could've twisted that direction somehow...? Idk, I doubt it either way.
Part of the issue with Clint was that he was never a villain or really even an antagonist to begin with.
Why they continued it with clementine ?
Because success=expected sequel.
I mean terrible characters and very badly written character relationships.
I'm saying that the GAME is like a SPINOFF, written as a SPINOFF, no character of this SEASON will be in FOURTH SEASON and SEASON 3 HAS NO IMPORTANT CHOICE. They just put Clementine in the game to sell. Dont be crazy.
Well we don't know how good The final season is going to do but i figure if it does why not have Aj as the next protagonist.
I would play this if we play as Javier from the second the apocalypse starts and it shows him going through it on his own with his family. This, in my opinion, is how it should have been from the start with the Garcias. If Javi had been the new protagonist of S5, I have a feeling it wouldn't have been a dumpster fire. But hey, not everyone agrees, and I respect that.
We don't know for sure that Clem or AJ will even survive this season so it's kinda too early to make the call.
Couldn't agree more about the kids part, you could still use reddit though.
That's a great idea!!
Somehow, Clint reminds me of Nick.
I agree on the part about kid too, you could be out of here then
BUT that wasn't the plan originally. Again they were supposed to play a part in TFS, but for some reason they were written out
Pls no
How so?
i think... aesthetically. Yet I can't put my finger on which put makes the two look similiar.
Oh, of course. The hat.
Though Nick seems to be a vaguely gross redneck and Clint is just a really dusty lookin stockbroker.
