After another watch I think my relationship with Violet is basically set in stone now.. And that relationship is called Triangle.
Oh you'… moreve wrapped yourself in a cloak of grief and push people away, And I push Triangle.
Oh you have survivors guilt, I push Triangle
Oh underneath your cold exterior your a nice person who wants to be Clem's friend, well I'm over here pushing Triangle.
Seriously if I can go the entire episode without ever talking directly to her, I'm gonna pretty damn happy.
It looks like Violet and Tenn are pretty close. They have often been shown hanging around each other in the promotional material, and when you see Marlon leading Clem into the school courtyard if you pay attention to Tenn he appears to be intimidated by Clementine quickly running over to Violet to alert her of Clem's presence.
The trailer also shows Tenn kneeling by one of the graves with Violet standing right behind him holding flowers. This detail makes me think that they both had a connection to whoever it is who is buried there.
That said, this is pure speculation and I could easily be wrong about everything.

That trailer was something else... I know this sounds incredibly weird but watching the trailer gave me goosebumps as well as nearly shedding tears. I can't believe that this is The Final Season

Am very confused by all the hate on Violet. She appears for like 6 seconds total and for the most part is 'friendly' toward Clem. The only thing she's said that is even close to antagonistic is "Yeah I know, your kid won't stop talking about you" and ya'll are already acting like you know this character in and out.
She was described as a "pragmatic" type of character by Telltale, which most of people here saw as her being Jane 2.0. And people hate Jane, because they love Kenny you know (cause that makes sense lol sarcasm intensifies). I think that prejudice is completely wrong (same way as people immediately thought that Marlon being a "rebellious youth" would make him Kenny 2.0) but you cant win with these people until the episode comes out.

Even the in-game engine/rendering test from when the four were revealed specifically used those two for it.
Which was enough for me to put it together.

To be fair, Louis is only in it for like, 3 seconds, and Marlon has 4 lines and stands in the rain contemplating the void in his heart(though, tragically, he's not brushing the hair out of his eyes), and everybody seems to love them like they know the characters in and out.

Uh, I think I may have been referencing the trope Morality Chain, whether it actually means that or not.
The idea is that there's bond between those two they may not have with the others, hence why they've mainly been shown either with each other or on their own for the most part.
As @xxplvb partially points out, she was just rather dull, predictable, unappealing, and just archetypical top to bottom from the moment she was unveiled [in my book.]
I think that could sum it up with a couple of adjectives.

Remember that we were also first introduced to them in an interview a while, with concept art and descriptions of their characters/personalities from some writers and Ms. Hutchinson.

First impressions go a long way, I suppose.
The thing is, people are praising Marlon because we weren't expecting such an emotional line to come from him from the trailer. But I haven't seen anyone act like they know what kind of character he's going to be, whereas Violet has a couple lines which aren't outstanding but not bad by any means yet people are already acting like they know who she is entirely and already want her to get wiped out.

The same can be said for literally every character that isn't Clem, AJ and Marlon but people have already decided that she is gonna be a terrible character because of six seconds of screentime cut out from what is presumably an hour and a half to two hour long episode.

Fair enough-is, though that's not what reassured me personally.
But I haven't seen anyone act like they know what kind of character he's going to be
Probably because it was fairly more up in the air compared to the others.
All we were told about him at first(that I remember) is that he's the standard "Jerk with a Heart of Gold" character.

Ya’ll, we’ve seen approximately 10 seconds of Violet. Maybe we should play the episode before we make a judgment on whether or not she’s a good character. What if Kenny was shown in a trailer yelling for 10 seconds. Everyone would be saying: “Oh, he’s so generic. He just yells! He sucks!” Obviously, anyone who has actually played the game knows there’s much more to him than that. So before everyone jumps on the hate train, play the damn thing.
I'm definitely hyped now. They way this trailer brings about their sense of home with how this school is made their home by these Lost Boys children. They're all basically brothers and sisters for eachother. It makes me sad to think about how this will all start to fall apart as the tension begins to rise with this new threat and as some of their members begin to disappear, with Marlon being affected the most by this. I'm confident this will be a good season.
If there were a few words to sum this episode up, they would be:

Yeah, they did.
People just tend to react and form rough opinions based on first impressions. And in cases like these, that's all they can do until shown/convinced otherwise.

Yeah it is flowers. I don't know what's wrong with me. Next time a second guess myself I need to actually go back and pause the video instead of blazing through it barely even paying attention.
I decided to do a quick comparison between the trailer and some of the scenes that were shown at E3 that were in it as well. Not exactly the best, but it's enough to see how aspects of the visuals have changed since then. Gonna leave them under spoiler, eith it being a relatively lengthy wall of screenshots and a bit text.
Not many differences here beyond Clementine now having the bandage around her forehead, which we've known for a while. Mostly additional foliage and different lighting and/or colour grading?
These pillars are probably one of the most obvious improvements.
Looks like that little building over on the left was kinda wrecked between E3 and now.
Some minor changes to the interior here, with added objects throughout the scene as well as a reduction in bloom.
Those changes also extends to here, with even the doorway having a different texture now. Clementine's expression also looks a little bit different than in the older build.
Beyond once again there being a reduction in bloom, the chair is now red, some rope(?) is missing and Clementine and AJ's poses look slightly different.
Yep, even the hug got altered a bit.
Oh, and as some may recall, Louis wasn't in the room playing the piano.

Uh, not to tell you what to do, but I think something of this scope and nature would be better suited in the Details thread, with linked and/or spoilered version here.

Thanks for posting those comparisons. It's cool to get a little insight of how the game has evolved over the course of development. That added depth of field effect and the lighting tweaks really contributed to the comic style telltale is going for. This season's art style is definitely my personal favorite.

This is really cool! Lots of big and tiny little changes. Lots of clutter and whatnot added in. They even added engravings to the doorway Clem is standing in. I like that they actually gave the pillars some bumps, they add a nice bit of tessellation and they don't just look like rectangles.

Some of the changes almost seem like something you'd expect from a PS3/360 port of a PS4/XBO game. I'm honestly surprised that they were able to polish up the graphics this much in around 2 months or so (or from whenever they had made that build of the game)

Yeah, that made the difference between the first two screenshots really obvious, it really does help them achieve the style they were going for!
And I'd have to agree, TFS' art style has to be the best by far compared to the previous games in the series.

I, for one, am immensely interested by Tenn. I really want to see more of this kid's personality, seeing as how much of it has been shrouded in mystery.

Can you perhaps list all the people from left to right for me? I only know Melissa. Funny, because I was watching the livestream but yea I still don't know the names of the writers. Shorette left, still gets me.
Okay, I went ahead and doug up both the Livestream that revealed the four/four around PAX and the thread discussing people's impressions of … morethem.
I might do a tally of consensus from back then if I get the time and/or initiative.
EDIT: Did rough tallies and took notes.

I briefly made a thread on him a while ago but there wasn't anything too interesting.
Oh! Also I doubt this counts as a "leak" or anything (like it's nothing major or whatever) but I noticed when looking in the data he is referred to as "Tennyson"
Honestly never heard of her. I mean Whitta's a story consultant so we're good! Huh, Batman and Guardians. I'll tell you this, I remember in the interview she was laughing, saying something like ''Sometimes I hesistate whilst writing the story and then I just hand it to the designer and say 'Uh, make this playable!''
Now I was shook by that. Pointless shaming aside, I have no doubt this will turn out to be a great storyline, I think it'll turn out even better than s1, and hopefully it can win GOTY.
I don't know the names either, but I could maybe look into it.
EDIT: From left to right...

No shit Sher- Yeah, seems that way.
"Well I wasn't expecting you to understand, was I Watson."
While we are on the subject of not getting stuff.. What does it mean to be a "chain" by the way, when your involving two folks?
