How to prevent Clem from losing her ring finger in S3?
I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, but unfortunately I didn't get to play S3 but I did play S2. I've heard that if you choose to kill Jane and stay with Kenny, Clem gets a scar somewhere on her forehead, and if you choose to leave on your own with AJ then she loses the finger. In my S2 playthrough I chose to kill Kenny and still stay with Jane and return to Howe's with her since I thought we'd have a better chance of survival by sticking together. What happens to Clem after she leaves Jane though? Does she get a scar or lose her finger or nothing at all? Sorry for the random question but it's been bugging me all day, just don't want my Clementine to lose that finger!

She loses the finger if you ended up with Alone ending (which is Clementine and AJ walking alone through the herd of walkers on a hill). If you got the ending with Jane - she will have tattoo of AJ`s name on her hand.
The only way to avoid loosing a finger is to stay in an unhealthy relationship.
how is staying in Wellington an unhealthy relationship thought?
Well for a week at least. And I've never heard a covincing argument for how Kenny could have lasted an entire week without snapping and beating Clem to death.
As long as Clem went along with Kenny's plan to find Wellington..I am sure he was sweet...it is only when common sense and reason ask that perhaps you seek shelter and not walk in the freezing cold that Kenny might get angry.

Considering Kenny would have been with only Clem and AJ i dont think anything like his arguments/Fights would happen considering how there isnt any girlfriend/Son to die on him and make him lose his mind again... and there is also the factor that the only times Kenny ends up going berserk is after all the situations they get into in season 2 ((getting captured , Losing his eye , Losing Sarita , the russian shootout , the rest of the group either dying off or stealing from him and the whole hidden baby plan.)) So i dont think they actually encountered anything as bad as what they had gone thought in s2 meaning he probably calmed down a bit after the whole Jane fight.
Because an effective treatment for a raving psychotic is getting to kill the focus of their rage. Kenny was broken, he would have snapped again in a matter of days and no amount of Clem being meek and agreeing with his every whim would have stopped him. It would have been inevitable.
which is exactly why the wellington ending is a thing and why Kenny in his speech tells you to go and meet better people than him because he knows he s broken and doesnt want to risk something like that happening.
I don't disagree with any of that, I just don't think he could have lasted a week while they found Wellington.
