What're your hopes for Episode 2/the rest of the season?
Hey everyone,
What're your hopes for Episode 2 and the rest of the season as a whole? Here are some of mine:
- More exploration/dialogue options: I really wanted to explore more of the school and talk to/get to know the other characters. We got a little of this before dinner on the first night, but I wish we had more. We know almost nothing about the main characters.
- More romantic/flirting options: I think most fans didn't like the Clem/Gabe pairing, so I'm very glad that didn't pan out. I shipped Louis and Clem from the moment they met in the piano room, but Vi seems like an interesting option too. I hope we get to solidify our romantic choice.
- More impact on who AJ becomes: Maybe it's growing up during the apocalypse and having no structure/safety/social grace or maybe he really is Carver's son, but either way, AJ doesn't really seem to listen to Clem and I feel like what she teaches him doesn't seem to stick.
- At least one returning character: I am enjoying this new cast and I find the "no adults" thing refreshing, but for some continuity/to tie up some loose ends, I feel like we need at least one returning character. I would love to get closure on what happened to Christa or Molly, and even though I don't like Lilly, she'd be a very compelling addition to the game.

I hope it will have the quality of the first episode. The romantic options shouldn't be forced, if someone wants Clementine to stay a lone survivor they should have the option to do so. Honestly, I miss having at least one character who was with us from the start. I hope and expect a very, very powerful ending to the series and not something rehashed from season 1, maybe depending on who AJ became. As Clem's story ends here, it's probably where our choices will really matter.
Well i hope that for ep 2 they
Other than that i hope:
Minor characters having more screentime. The other kids need more development, specially Aasim!
Whats the difference between the last 2 bullet points?
There's no difference
Ok, it would've been interesting to hear if there was
Actually,there is a difference
Secondary characters besides Violet and Louis having more screentime (especially Mitch and Asaim)
Well, I would say that Season 4 is already 200x better than Season 3. I'm so glad we got over that bump in the road.
I think the only thing they need to improve on from episode 1 is choices. Don’t get me wrong their was some hard choices in episode 1, but man I can imagine them making some REALLY hard choices for future episodes. I actually liked how episode 1 focused more on character building and the schools atmosphere then hard decisions, but now that they’ve built up the characters/setting enough I feel like they can make some hectic situations/decisions now.
I want all of the characters to be fully realized characters, not just cool gimmicks. Look at Marlon, he seems realistic and not cartoony, like a fully fleshed out person. Then you look at Omar, someone who isn't all that realistic. The only fully-realized characters are AJ, Clem is just about there, and Marlon.
Betters choices
Maybe also some better dialogue options (not only makin them more accurate to what the characters gonna say) but also more neutral, gray kinda shit,if that makes sense, like not just "do you want Clem to be an asshole now or not?"
I want them to keep doing what they're doing, 2+ hour game play, lots of interactions and dialogue options, good action scenes sprinkled through out.
But if we're going with hopes, I want Clem go full Apocalypse Now on these Raiders, then after Clem kills leader and all the other raiders are basically worshiping her. They get Dave Fenoy to do a voice over, " the horror, the horror HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHAT DID YOU PEOPLE DO MY SWEETPEA!"
I don't know about about hope, but:
I would love a freewalk of the school! Where you can have longer conversations with the characters and learn more about them.
