How come the adults get the benefit of the doubt over the kids?
Yes, this was spurred by the Abel vs. AJ comments, but it's also based on Carver/Jane vs. Sarah, Kenny vs. Ben/Arvo, and probably some other relationship I'm forgetting.

I know, right?
At the very least, in Abel's case, he was just there to pick up a portion that was allegedly for himself and let the kids have the rest. It was also debatably a matter of looking out for AJ's wellbeing.
Everything else is mostly just backwards though.
I gave Abel all the benefit of the doubt, honestly. Seemed like a fair deal, although that douchebag stole from the kids' traps.
Also, I've read Lord of the Flies. A bunch of boarding school kids trapped in the wilderness living off the land? Yeah, no thank you.
Who gave carver/jane the benefit of the doubt over Sarah?
Jerks and Killjoys like Shoula, Dickjoke, that one Carver fangirl, one of you jokers,....
