You know, the problem Marlon has faced is somewhat similar to a trolley dilemma.
He either fight the bandits but potentially endanger… mores all of the group as they have little to no gun power or let them take two people and they will leave them alone. Yes, he should consult with the group first, but again he may afraid that they agree to confront them and potentially destroy all he helped to build so he made it a secret together with Brody for what he thinks better for the group.
Let's just wait for the next episode to know the circumstances of why he did what he did before we discuss it further.
Then I guess he didn’t plan locking Clementine in the basement as well, or blaming her for the dead of Brody, or killing Clementine if you pick the wrong option. What about all the other things I mentioned about Marlon? AJ killed him because he is dangerous to Clementine. And he was gonna trade someone again. He said it himself. And yea, Marlon surrended and AJ is definitely in the wrong here, but really is the face of AJ at the end really the face of a evil murderer? I’d say its the face of a kid who seems confused about what he did, and doesn’t understand the world around him. The difference between Marlon and AJ, is Marlon definitely had a lot more control on his actions than AJ.
And your forgetting something with your example.
Marlon killed her because she knew, then locked her in the basement where she could have died, then blamed her for the actions he did, then kills her if you choose the wrong option. And he would trade Clementine and AJ to the raiders where they would probably be enslaved and raped.
AJ kills him cause he is a danger to Clementine, and because he wants to protect here.
Bruh,hes a teenager
teenagers are retarded,right?
its obvious he didnt plan on killin her and he immediately regretted it
Wrong? yeah
… morePussy? yeah
Coward? hell yeah
Evil? not really
more understandable then straight up killing a girl because she new about your secrets
Had he waited untill everything was over and then just killed Brody like aj did with him it would b more "understandable"
its more understandable that marlon killed brody than when aj killed marlon, since ajs shit seems kinda premeditated to me,watch that scene,it takes like 75 years for aj to shoot marlon after he surrendered
Actually heres an example
i kill a friend during an argument by accident
i shoot a random unarmed criminal because "he was bad"
which one is more wrong?
It's not exactly like the train dilemma because whereas with the train where there are two outcomes and one definitely has to happen, there were multiple possible actions and outcomes for Marlon to take. He didn't have to fight and he didn't have to give the girls away, he could have told the group and escaped, he could have tried hiding, he could have tried making some other sort of deal. He could have tried basically anything else but he chose the easiest option for him and the worst outcome for those poor girls and that makes him a coward, not some noble leader who made the tough call.

AJ killed him because he is dangerous to Clementine.
i know why telltale did this with the final scene,it was to really make u understand the point of this season
that is supposed to b that aj was born in the apocalypse so clem needs to teach aj how not to b a piece of shit
but still its a mistake that they didnt make aj shoot him at the right time when it would have been justified
i know why they did it though, they wanted to make it unexpected and have the time to sort of make u feel sorry for him
still it makes less sense this way

Thus I said we need to wait for the next episode so we can know the circumstances of why he did what he did. I also highlight 'somewhat similar' because of it as I know it's not 'exactly the same', and even in the trolley problem, the person also has another choice in which he can try to make the trolley stop or something similar...

sort of,at least marlon didnt wait untill the situation calmed down to then kill brody,
then of course he obviously did more evil shit than aj
like i said its a mistake by the writers, makin aj wait just to make the ending more shocking

Except for the difference in those two situations was that Marlon did it and freaked the fuck out after, basically cried about it, and let his anger get ahold of himself, and he did something he immediately regretted and wished he hadn't done. But AJ shot Marlon right when you finally got to talk the guy down, and Clementine was trying to talk to him.
Can you hardly compare those as being the exact same thing? One was a heat of the moment anger and guilt over it right after, and the other was purposeless and pointless when the dude had given up. Both still murder, but the situations completely different.
AJ ain't a little shit, I'm not saying he is cause he isn't, but he doesn't get it still. Which is understandable, when he grew up in the fucked up world and hasn't got any prior sympathy everyone else retained from when there weren't walkers. He needs more guidance than just Clementine just showing him how to
The people who defend this guy are the same people who are calling AJ a little shit for killing Marlon. But Marlon did the exact same thing. He killed Brody.
Then I guess he didn’t plan to lock Clementine in the basement as well where she could have died, or blaming her for the death of Brody, or killing Clementine if you pick the wrong option. And he was gonna trade someone again. He said it himself. Marlon is definitely more in the wrong here then AJ. Does AJ need to learn? Of course. He can't shoot someone like that. But the amount of people who are defending Marlon and saying AJ needs to die are unbelievable.

I agree 100% the number of people saying AJ needs to die for what he did is unbelievable, it's also disgusting. The kid is literally 6 years old. And Marlon is more in the wrong than AJ, there is no argument there, I agree with you on that too. I just feel Marlon wasn't trying to be evil to just be evil, I think he was scared and well I've said it too many times on so many posts as to what I thought about Marlon I don't wanna type it all out again lmfao
But yeah, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, or start an argument, cause I appreciate a good friendly debate, and I do agree with you on some things. I just don't think AJ killing Marlon was the same as Marlon killing Brody. Both are fucked up, but were still different in reaction and feelings for what happened.

well thank god for people that can actually write since i cant, definitely said it better than me,that was what i wuz trynna say but too retarded to say it clearly

thats the point and telltale made a mistake by dragging the scene out to make it more surprising since it makes AJ's actions a lot less justified and not just "he was trynna protect u,bruh" anymore or "he hasnt been around many people" thats exactly why he shouldnt have the idea that if someone is bad he should kill him,as far as we know he never even met anyone bad before and clem definitely didnt teach him that

Which is understandable, when he grew up in the fucked up world and hasn't got any prior sympathy everyone else retained from when there weren't walkers. I think he's a terrible person. I don't really have sympathy for him, but AJ shouldn't have shot an unarmed man who'd surrendered. It was murder.
But, I can't really condemn Marlon as much as I want to. I'm imagining if I had been in his situation and I believe I wouldn't have traded anyone. I would've fought to keep those girls but, in doing so, most likely all the kids would die for it.
Marlon's goal was to keep as many of his group alive as he could. He believed if he went up against the raiders everyone would die, so when he was offered a way to avoid conflict he took it and by doing so most likely saved the rest of the group. Not to mention those raiders probably would've killed his group and taken those girls anyways. And how many fighters do they actually have in their group? I doubt they had enough to deal with the raiders and although they might've been able to come up with a plan would the raiders even give them the time to do it and set it up? Realistically the kids would die without putting up much of a fight.
I think it comes down to what ur motivations would be in the apocalypse. To stay good first and survive second, or to survive first and be good second. In Marlon's case he chose his and the survival of his group first and did a bad thing to accomplish that.
I personally wouldn't see the point of surviving if all anyone did was trade or murder each other for a chance at it. And I would've let the group decide for themselves if they wanted to go mount a rescue (provided I didn't die trying to stop the raiders from taking them) but if they decided not to I'd probably end up dying trying to do it myself.
However, as soon as Marlon murdered Brody... at that point I could truly condemn him as a terrible, horrible human being. Yeah, he flipped, but seriously? Control your temper dude. And then to go and frame Clem? He was scum, but after that he was ultra scum and irredeemable.
Marlon was either a multiple oscar award winning actor before the apocalypse or he really felt sorry for what he did so idk, just like clem said "that dont mean he doesnt have to pay" but not like that
Marlon is a weak pussy ass motherfucker and his actions are irredeemable. Even if he didn’t mean to kill Brody he still intended to hurt one of his best friends for telling the truth, and he obviously hit her pretty hard if her fucking skull split open. Instead of owning up to his mistakes he attempts to have Clementine killed and then frame her for the manslaughter HE committed after failing to do so. Not to mention he also traded two innocent teenage girls to a bunch of raiders to be raped or murderered or god knows what. Sure, you can say he’s a kid and all who was scared and under a lot of pressure but if he truly prioritized the safety of his group he should’ve either sacrificed himself or come up with some sort of plan to help all of them flee from the school & seek for another place to stay (I guarantee that it would’ve ended badly and resulted in a lot of dead bodies but at least that means he was willing to take risks for everyone to survive). The fact that someone feels guilt and remorse over past actions doesn’t mean shit if they aren’t actively trying to become a better person and change their ways, and Marlon himself said he would do it all over again and can even go as far as to resort to shooting Clementine in some of the non-canon endings despite not needing to defend himself on a physical level. No child deserves to grow up in a zombie apocalypse but as someone who has been through a lot of trauma myself at a young age I can firmly say that I don’t feel sympathy for people like him even if they have a freudian excuse behind their behavior.
Also all know that he had to go with that haircut of his. /s

Technically, he killed her because she was telling Clementine the truth.
Otherwise, he would've killed her months ago. Of course, it was technically an accident, though it's still definitely assault.
He killed her because she knew, and AJ killed him because: He traded the sisters with the raiders, he would do the same with Clementine and … moreAJ, he locked her up in the basement where she could have died, he blamed Clementine for the dead of Brody, he can kill Clementine if you pick the wrong dialogue option. Yep, and that is why I wouldn't blame him on the two sisters, but I would on killing Brody, lying that Clem did it + he wanted to kill her
