*That* sound!
You know which I'm talking about. In the basement. I nearly fucking shit my pants right there. That screech / howl sound coming from Z!Brody as the camera zooms toward Clem as she tries to leave is absolutely blood curdling. Most horrifying moment in possibly the whole series. That entire basement scene was amazing as a piece of horror but that sound nearly made me leave my skin. Props Telltale.

I don't like how it sounded like she was still alive during her transformation... Anyone else notice that? It literally sounded like she was trying to fight off the infection but she was alrdy dead... unless she was still semi alive during the turn? Either way it hit me in the feels and was also creepy. It was all well done.
Yeah I noticed that, too. I think maybe during the turn, when parts are still waking up, maybe they actually sound more human then once the zombie is fully awake you get the snarling and growling we're used to.
I was just talking about that screech in another thread (maybe what inspired this post?). It's the only moment in the entire episode that really got me tensed up. Definitely the scariest moment in the entire series for me. I loved it.
I didn't see your post (point me to the thread so i can read it?), it has just been on my mind ever since I got done playing the episode, like you say it really put the tense up you as if that scene wasn't heart thumping enough as was haha.
That whole cellar scene with zombified Brody was very well done. It is the most engaged I have ever been in a Telltale gameplay sequence. Sure, there have always been the occasional jump scare in telltale games but those only last for about 5 seconds. While this scene had me feeling genuinely disturbed the whole time.
Eh I do have some criticisms.
Still, I enjoyed the scene.
I'd say my biggest problem was it happened very quickly and it was like the fastest transformation I'd seen in walking dead, as far as I can remember. But now that you mention all that... yeah. That flash light probably shouldn't have been there.
Welcome to the world of videogames and animation. Those are things that exist in many games.
When you consider that this is from a Telltale game it is a HUGE improvement from what we normally get.
Maybe it's just me but I thought Rebecca turned even quicker.
Oooohhhhh! Yes she did, I completely forgot. Or, I mean, I think she did. I can't rly remember. Feel like I need to replay the entire series.
Yeah she did, but not by much.
You could look up lets plays if you're curious, instead of having to play through it all again, unless you just want to replay it all again, in which case have fun lol
Yeah, I wanna be able to import the save. But I'll prob wait for this season to finish.
I don't really understand Brody's TLOU style rambling before turning into a walker, or where the hell she was. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the scene because it was very tense, but it honestly feels as if Brody jumped dimensions for a minute or two. And the flashlight was way too far from the spot where Marlon dropped it. And the inevitable jumpscare was way too telegraphed.
The scene did a fantastic job building tension, to the point where you don't really consider any of the stuff above because you're hyperfocused on the flashlight. But all tension was drained when we got stuck in an animation, you could literally start a countdown to the jumpscare.
