What's your headcanon for Mike / Arvo / Bonnie ?

Bonnie left with Mike and Arvo in my story, but obviously she can die. So your headcanon on her might not exist if she died in the lake. But what about the other two? What do you think happened to them?

  • I think I let Bonnie die, can't really remember, tbh, but I never really thought any more of Mike and Arvo. Froze to death or ate each other? idk.

  • At some point during Clem’s journey, maybe after ANF, she came across them, and after seeing them, had a long, but calm discussion about what happened. She explained to Argo why she shot his sister, they shared stories about what happened to them after they went their separate ways, and eventually decided to split from there.

Nah, just kidding, she murdered them on the spot.

  • Had me going there haha. Enjoy your youtube videos btw! I love that you like to talk in depth about Telltale's TWD, most people play the episodes and then just end it. You like to talk about what you've just played or seen (trailers, news, your review on ANF etc) I like listening to what you have to say (even if you are a lil harsh on ANF haha). Keep up the good work.

  • I've had a number of thoughts on what could've happened, from the three of them sticking together with some degree of damaged trust that never truly healed, to Arvo going his separate way entirely, to something as significant as Arvo eating at least one of them in the cold & triggering his transformation.

  • His transformation?

  • Mike made it to Mexico, he's doing ok
Arvo's leg gave out on him so of course Bonnie and Mike ditched him in the snow and he froze to death.
Bonnie died of a venereal rash that went viral then spread to her throat and suffocated her, which is getting off light compared to what would have happened if me and Clem ever saw her again.

Oh, you don't know about the legend then?

    His transformation?

  • Why thank you, I appreciate it. The thing about me is that, while I love these games and Telltale, I am also brutally honest. When I don’t like something or something is on my mind, I tend to voice that frustration, even when it’s in regards to something I love. Probably more so because I want to see it succeed and be good, and when I don’t think it lives up to those standards, especially for the reasons I have discussed in regards to ANF, then yeah, I’m going to be a bit angry.

And while those emotions do tend to get in the way, I always try to aim for explaining my rationale as clearly as possible. I don’t just want to say “Oh God, that was awful, this sucks” or “That was incredible, I loved it.” For whatever it is, my goal is to explain it with the facts at my disposal or with my own reasoning. I aim for a more “I didn’t like this for these reasons” or “I really enjoyed that for these reasons” approach, and I try that for everything, from my play throughs, to my reactions, and yes, to my ANF review videos. As one of my favorite people always says, “Facts don’t care about your feelings.”

  • Oh yes I understand all of that, it was more a little tongue and cheek comment haha, just in your ANF review you really go at it, very sarcastic about some admittedly stupid rationales the writers had for characters and writing moments etc. I found it funny. Like I said I like listening to your points. I can tell you love the games. Some youtubers I've seen reacting to the trailers didn't even know Clementines damn name and were clearly doing it because it was the in thing to do that day. You love the games and it makes your content worth watching. I too am honest and truly invested in the franchise in my playthroughs, and its good to know someone else is. Even if I swear way too much haha.

    The end.

In the Bonnie is dead scenario Mike and Arvo got killed by a family of angry raccoons.

  • Ah yeah, that guy. Hmph.

Anyway, hope you're either up to speed or don't care about me linking this...

  • I really want to take revenge on these Sons of the ... serious, especially Arvo. But my theory that if they did not appear in s4, they simply could not survive even longer with a cripple who could hardly run and weak, I just hope he suffered before he died.

  • Oh... that lol. Thanks.

Every play-through I let Bonnie drown in that lake, like wtf Bonnie? Gunna lie when you bash that chicks head in, gunna lie to Kenny when you are scouting the house, and you freaking tell Clem to go get Luke and risk her life? What a b*tch.

I feel like Mike was done with Kenny, he thought Arvo was a better choice, so what did he do? Literally take everything they had, and then try to take the ONLY vehicle they had (which Kenny knew was gunna happen because he had it happen with the boat). I don't think he wanted to hurt anyone, but Arvo sure as shit did, they killed his group Kenny was beating the shit out of him, I totally get why he shot Clem. I also get why Mike was shocked. Its the series of events that help lead to the Jane Kenny fight.

  • Somewhere, out there, my Arvo and Bonnie are still okay, and regretful, and Mike is fucking dead. The man stabbed Christa, serves him right that Clem shoots him dead.

  • Wait...? Clem can kill the Mike dude? And he was the one that stabbed Christa? I definitely don't remember any of that... Am I thinking of the wrong character?

  • unless i see someone literally dying on screen, i can't believe they're dead since this series always brings people back.

Bonnie ditched Mike and Arvo and started an all-female survivor group.

  • After the gunshot fired by Arvo, Bonnie was immediately eaten by walkers. Mike and Arvo, were chased by walkers. They avoided being eaten and find a nearby shack,a herd traps them inside. In the scuffle Arvo was bitten, at first he panicked but Mike claimed he could cut it off like he did Reggie's, Arvo at first freaking out eventually agreed. Unable to find bandages, Mike offers to use his Sweatshirt as a tourniquit. The arm is amputated, but unable to stop the bleeding Arvo dies. Mike puts him down. The next morning, the herd has passed, Mike wanders across a group of Raiders who he ends up being recruited, by thet hunt raccoons and people to rob.

  • After the major mishap that was the failed attempt at stealing what little supplies remained, along with the only vehicle in which they could escape in, Mike, Bonnie and little Arvo fled the scene on foot. Having traveled a staggering 12 kilometers into the near sub-zero temperatures of the snowstorm, the trio struggled to travel any further. Freezing and exhausted, the three held onto themselves tightly, trying their hardest to stay warm. However, the magnitude of the sheer cold was far too severe for them to withstand much longer. As hypothermia and frostbite began to set in, it was only a matter of seconds before Mike, Bonnie and Arvo would inevitably succumb to the harsh climate that storm had brought upon them. Losing the ability to move any further, they collapsed to the ground, falling face first into the snow where their bodies would soon freeze over, meeting their demise.

  • This.

  • I believe the original plan for Mike’s character was to be one of the raiders that Christa comes across in Episode 1, but that was changed. And originally, Clem was going to have the option to shoot and kill Mike when he was approaching her in Episode 5, but it was removed at literally the last minute. We know this because the PS3 version of the game, when it was initially released, still featured the original choice to kill Mike, before it was eventually patched.

  • Hey Metallica are you still working on the ANF review series?

  • Yes I am. I recently started putting together my review for Thicker Than Water. However, I did learn that I need to re-record some stuff because I didn’t like how they originally came out, and then edit it all together (which alone is a long and arduous process). That, and with the fact that this is the last week of my summer break before I go back to school and I’m trying to get ready, it probably won’t be up until next week.

  • I always liked Bonnie, and because I tried to save Luke she wasn't rude to me and looked like she hated Mike when he tried to make Bonnie ditch Clem, so for me she left them and went on to find another group.

  • Ok thanks!

  • Its terrible, but the video kinda made me laugh. It was just... I mean, I know I was told to expect it.... But it just seemed so... unexpected. lol
Anyways I actually liked the Mike guy, was a little disappointed he didn't wake Clem up and offer to take her with them. He wasn't so bad and made the least amount of waves, I think.

  • I do hope they're somehow still alive. The thought of torturing all three of them in excruciating ways gives me fuzzy feelings.

  • They crashed into a tree and died.

Arvos leg gave out. He turned. Mike shot him. HE DEAD!
Bonnie and Mike are still surviving together. Possibly returned to Howes and reunited with the other 400 days characters. ( I was extremely disappointed with their cameos in S2 so... group reunion! The 400 days characters would be the only surviors left there- including Eddie. Eddie is awesome so he found his way there!)

  • edited August 2018

Nah, they obviously won`t return. So in my headcanon while Jane tended to wounded Clem, Kenny took off after Arvo and Mike (Bonnie already drowned), caught up to them in the woods and shot them both. I mean Jane says that they took off on foot, but nobody says they managed to get away.

  • If they had turned to Howes who made the choice to go with Jane, they would have seen her which is not the case.

Oh I know that (I actually chose to go with Jane myself though if I had my way my choice would have been Luke, Bonnie and Mike). However, there's nothing to say they could have returned after Clem and Jane had been there. They would of been on the road a while first, before Arvo turned and only after he'd turned, would they turn back to the place they knew. I did consider having them in Texas as that is where Mike wanted to head for but it's much less likely they would come across the 400 days characters this way.
It's very unlikely we will be seeing either one of them again anyway.

  • Who knows in a continuation of ANF we do not see them? although I want them dead it is always good to review familiar faces

  • Oh boy...words cannot describe what happened to Arvo in my headcanon, the things he went through...

  • Mike was supposed to be the third North Carolina Scavenger who held Christa at gunpoint.
If you look at the models, Mike is clearly intended to have been the same character, with his scar and earwound being the result of friendly fire during the encounter, which is in fact in the soundfiles for episode 1. Clementine would eventually recognize him as such and thus would have to decide whether she can afford to trust him with the group.
This subplot ended up being cut from the released versions of In Harm's and Amid the Ruins, though some of his scenes make a little more sense knowing that--even his significance in No Going Back.

Veeeee Bonnie ditched Mike and Arvo and started an all-female survivor group.

    Yeah, probably.
    I actually forgot about that.

@MaxTheFax I always liked Bonnie, and because I tried to save Luke she wasn't rude to me

Bonnie is one of the characters I feel I should probably like more than I actually do.

and looked like she hated Mike when he tried to make Bonnie ditch Clem, so for me she left them and went on to find another group.

That's more poignant when you release she never truly trusted Arvo to begin with.

@GamerLady Its terrible, but the video kinda made me laugh. It was just... I mean, I know I was told to expect it.... But it just seemed so... unexpected. lol

Part of me misses how dramatic the scene is, particularly Clementine and Arvo's respective reactions.

Anyways I actually liked the Mike guy, was a little disappointed he didn't wake Clem up and offer to take her with them. He wasn't so bad and made the least amount of waves, I think.

Yeah, Mike is a character I just didn't think about the first time around and grew to really like when I specifically payed attention to him.

@BigLee If they had turned to Howes who made the choice to go with Jane, they would have seen her which is not the case.

That reminds of someone's rewrite idea where Randy's family in the Jane ending was instead the Defector Trio and so the context of the choice was changed to be about whether you'd show them some measure of mercy(for lack of a better word; not necessarily forgiveness, though) by letting them in or making to hit the roadgrass before they hit the pavement.
Which actually sounds like an interesting addition.

Ah, imagine being able for Clem to pop them right there in the parking lot of Howe's... that would probably be a more satysfying ending than the Wellington ending!

Bonnie is canonically dead from a writing perspective considering she's determinant.

Mike and Arvo are alive doing whatever and and never cross paths with Clem ever again.

i hate that people are so fervent to tying loose ends. At the maximum, I think Telltale has said they're only going to bring back one character from season 1.
