What i just saw on youtube now in episode 4 after she was kicked out of the new frontier it was snowing so i don’t think it was summer but i don’t know
That can't be right though. They sent AJ to the ranch because of the hard winter. It was summer when they took him from her, and summer during current time when we play as Javi. It had to have been a whole year, give or take a couple months.
It wasn't snowing. Couldn't have been. If you look in the flashback scenes all the trees are still fully green with leaves. Trees around Richmond get peak color in late october then all their leaves fall off just before winter really gets started. I guess it's possible that a freakishly early onset of winter could happen, sure, but that still means there had to have been a winter between AJ being taken from Clem and the "current" game time when we play as Javi, because it's summer during current Javi time and they talk about a harsh winter and losing a lot of people, AJ being one of them.

Ok. It really doesn't matter if it was or not. It's not snowing during the time we play as Javi which means it had been a whole autumn, winter, spring, and was back to summer again.

They sent AJ to the ranch because of the hard winter
Did they?
I thought it was just because his recovery was unexpected and they didn't really have anyone who could afford to look after him on a constant basis.
summer during cu.rrent time when we play as Javi.
Is there any indication of that? Cause with Joan and a conversation between two of Clint's soldiers in mind, I was under the assumption the game itself takes place around the fall.

Clem can't be 16. She's 17 at least, though more likely 18.
AJ was barely over a year old when Clem met Ava and ANF took him from her. We… more know this based on the with Jane flashbacks. AJ was still a newborn when her and Jane were clearing bodies from Howe's, then it flashes "13 months later" and we see Clem, alone, because David had just taken AJ from her. That means he was probably 14 months old, tops. Best we can assume is she was 13 when she met Ava because that's what Ava guessed and Clem didn't say any different. Jump ahead one year to when Clem is with Javi and she's 14. Why a whole year, you ask? Because it was summer time when David took AJ away from her, then they had a bad winter and AJ was sent to the ranch, then it's summer again when Clem meets Javi. A whole year, give or take a month or two.
So Clem is 14 during "current" ANF time, and that'd make AJ 2 during that time, 2 and a half, maybe. Skip ahead to TFS, AJ is about 6,… [view original content]
AJ's age is the weirdest IMO. He looks 5, acts like at least 12, and sometimes sounds like an adult. The only explanation I can come up with is the fact that kids grow faster when they have to. But it's still weird the longest periods of time go by offscreen.
No Clem has a convo with David on the bridge after Richmond got fucked over. He talks about AJ staying with him after they kicked Clem out but then they had the winter being hard and couldn't feed everyone, so he told Lingard to do whatever he needed to save AJ.

Yeah, but moreover, it directly contradicts any notions that it had only been a month or two since Clem lost AJ. The took AJ during summer when all the leaves on the trees were still nice and green then she meets Javi and it's summer, but there was a winter between them taking AJ and Clem meeting Javi, meaning it had to have been close to a year after she lost AJ.
I guess it boils down to all the ANF rewrites completely fucking the timeline up so there's no way to nail down exactly when anything happened or how much time passed. Even if TellTale specifically said xx time passed, their own game contradicts them.

Was that ever overtly implied/established?
Unless you're refering to Part 1 & Part 2's initial trajectory.

To be fair, that could just as easily be a reflection of convenience/laziness, as there are still green trees in that video above as well.
There was a winter between them taking AJ and Clem meeting Javi, meaning it had to have been close to a year after she lost AJ.
Although that just opened up another whole: Was The Winter after or before she joined, given the coinciding absence of Joan(and Clint)?

It was snowing if you look closer then you see it

If you look around you can see it’s snowing
In season to Clementine was 11 when AJ was born... she’s 17 right now...obviously.
All i just know is telltale confirmed that she’s 13 years in this season.

Oh my goodness, I never knew that.
She really must be an affront to nature.
ty for this. I agree 100% *

Wow, they really threw away any interesting backstory, reveals, explanations, and plots they could in favor of trying to prop up David, huh?

Pretty much.
