How large could the raider camp be?
2 teenaged girls bought a year....it is possible that all these years in...raiders need to keep smaller to survive. What do you guys think?

Maybe they lost two of their own group and wanted replacements?
Good question.
If Abel truly had any connection to them, that would imply they aren't a very big group.
However, their most likely fairly large, maybe equal or twice the size of the Ericson's.
Not the best recruitment method.
My best guess is that Marlon, Brody and the twins were pretty far outside the safezone, so the bandits had no idea there was a school in the vicinity and didn't follow Marlon and Brody because they just assumed that was the whole group. Abel seemed genuinely curious if Clementine was part of a larger group (meaning he might not have known about Ericson) and it was also the first time anyone fucked with their traps, so Abel only discovered those around the time the game takes place.
I think Marlon's comment about him giving up Clem and AJ if the bandits came back was only a contingency plan he talked to Brody about and not an actual deal with the bandits (who he hadn't seen since a year before).
What if Joan/Clint is the leader and that's whose returning.
My guess is they are low in numbers and are trying to build their group up which would greatly benefited from 2 younger members opposed to older members.
One thing that does not leave the head because Abel was walking alone if he was part of the bandits he would have to walk in group. And in relation to the camp I do not have what to say is very little information that was presented about them so wait pro and 2
I would be fuckin irked if they did that.
Like, I know Joan's character was already clearly derailed, but fuck that anyway.
Yeah, that's the impression I got as well.
Not to mention he chose to only take one of the bags [that he presumably placed there in the first place], as opposed to forcing them to give him most of em when he thought he only had Clementeen and outside Violet to deal with.
If the girls are being used to pump out babies to build the community you'd want to have fresh vegetables , maybe livestock, healthcare, etc in place. I say this because they're using g strategy to cut off food supply intentionally damaging traps and causing the safe zone to shrink. While you don't need to study Sun Tzu to know why this would be effective it shows long term thinking. So if the girls are being used for breeding. Then other aspects of the camp could be advanced too.
I'm going to have to disagree with you, if he put the bags there because he did not kill the couple of zombies? although I also think he put it because the door was locked ...
...What?
I can imagine Abel waddling out with three bags and getting Chairles and choppy to the skull
Oh shit, Paul taught Louis the saberthrow!
