There is no point in it really. Basically all the mains from 400 Days dlc are a determinant characters so it's downright impossible to create a sequel featuring their story.
You gotta convince them to come with you.
where do you get the option to convince shel
If I remember correctly, to get Shel to come with you, you have to pick the ''Leave in the RV'' choice instead of killing Stephanie. I don't know if you could convince later with a dialogue option if you picked the latter though.

I think it's probably a little late now but I would honestly love to see more of the 400 days characters. I feel like they were great characters and their cameos in 400 days where wasted. We could have explored the camp with them. Perhaps even had cameos from Rebecca and co. and maybe even seen a different side to Carver (doubtful, but possible)
You obviously chose to shoot Stephanie instead of leaving the truck stop.
