Theory: the raiders are the ex-schoolteachers/headmaster *SPOILERS*
If Marlon lied about the twins, then what else could he have lied about? Telling the school about the teachers at the same time he told them about Sophie/Minnie would have been too much for them to process at the time. Perhaps Brody never knew about them because they weren't the ones to actually take the twins.
Maybe that's a stretch, but the whole "they just left" explanation doesn't seem right in the same way that Minnie/Sophie dying didn't. Numerous references have been made to them, so I find it hard to imagine that they won't play a part in the game.

It also doesnt make sense for them to leave to just come back but bad guys now.
They became bad guys as soon as they abandoned the children.
Oh man I never thought about that! That would be really cool!
I’m struggling to come up with a scenario where both Marlon and Brody aren’t privy to the same information. I mean, they were both there when it happened. Marlon could’ve met up with the raiders occasionally to ensure they were holding up their end of the bargain and then learned who their true leaders were. Maybe?
Yeah, Minnie and Sophie were sent to detention, and the teachers are coming for the rest of them
Now that could be an interesting, if hokey twist.
That would satisfy millions of player's fantasies of shooting their teachers right in the head.
MAJOR SPOILER WARNING.
As far as I’m aware, Lily has been confirmed for Suffer The Children. Surely they wouldn’t have two massive revelations in the same episode (unless one of them is at the start of the episode and the other at the end)? But then would there be enough time to build them up as the villains in Broken Toys?

Yeah, bro, you might wanna actually put a spoiler tag on this...
When you're about to post, click on formatting (backwards P thingy) and then select spoiler.
Grrrrrr. How do you unquote stuff? Ironically enough, people might get spoiled because of my post.
Spoiler tag is exclaimation point on the right of a quote
As for your final sentence, if they keep up the 2hr episode lengths with the little to nothing we have to go on aside from the leaks, they certainly can.
EDIT the post and then don't refresh before leaving the page.
Cheers.
Cheers.
Thank you.
No and here's why; it's actually really simple. Brody was so concerned with the raiders finding them that she was having panic attacks. If the raiders were the teachers they'd already know where the school is and Brody would know they're the teachers since she was there when the twins were taken.
Is it possible the teachers met up with another group of adults and they all became raiders so the adults Brody and Marlon and the twins ran into weren't teachers? Yes. But if the teachers were part of the raiders why have the raiders not touched the school in the near 10 years since the outbreak? There's only two possible explanations for that. 1, the teachers felt guilty about abandoning them and out of the last shreds of a sense of duty to the kids they have been protecting the kids by not telling their fellow raiders about the school or where it is. 2, the teachers aren't involved with the raiders at all. I'm inclined to believe the second option, as it is more likely when weighed against Occam's Razor. In all likelihood, the teachers abandoned the school to go be with their families when shit went down. It was a boarding school, meaning most if not all of the faculty were also boarders and didn't actually live locally.
Which reminds me: I'm surprised the twist in episode 1 didn't involve revealing that Marlon ran off the teachers in the first place.
Can’t see your post.
..?
How did he even accomplish that?
Must be an image that won’t load. You can’t edit quotes, so you can’t see the code.
Nevermind that you have to put at least 3 characters/punctuations for the thing to post anyway.
Wouldn’t the code count as characters?
Not from what I've done/tried in the past.
@Tornado31619 It is not, only those I want to see it will see it
I’m the cross between David Blaine and Criss Angel. I can do things others cannot
Huh.
Exactly
Good theory @ Tornado31619
That's why Telltale had to kill off Marlon.
It would be too easy to gather information from him and the school would be basically be able to organize and strategize and solve the conflict preemptively.
Now there is tension and uncertainty and soon to be dramatic conflict.
