To be fair, there isn't really any clear proof she survived the fight in the first place. If anything, it's left moderately ambiguous; Clementine runs off, you hear a shout and a gunshot. That's not a whole lot to work with.

The story builder basically just replays the choices the player made during season 1 and 2. I don't get how the characters shown in the story builder is guarantee to make a return. It also showed Lee, Carly, and Doug, they all died, and I don't know how they'll be able to added them to the Final Season.
There was a AMA or something, and it was mentioned, some characters from season 1, might make a return, but it was never specified as to who they are.

What would they be? However you play it she stays practically as loyal, takes care of Clem & goes missing in the same way. There's not really a big choice that would alter her attitude towards Clementine
Unlike Lilly, who either liked Lee or deeply disliked him based on the choices.
