Violet's nice to aj and shows an interest in aj. And violet has made clem smile multiple times. Violet's tough and rough around the edges but she has her endearing moments too.
When she smiles, when she let clem and aj run ahead of her and stayed behind to deal with the walkers, when she saves clem from a walker, when she stands protectively in front of clem and brings out her cleaver, and when she talks about her past and opens up imo those are all endearing moments of violet.
Also when violet asks a question it's about aj's parents and she doesn't push the matter if clem doesn't want to talk about it and if clem does talk about it violet shows an expression of sympathy.
Whereas when louis asks a question it's about if clem ever had a bf. Violet's depression is normal and to be expected. I don't she's too depressing and she isn't always brooding or depressed. Violet does smile at times.

Well Violet's used to snapping at everyone keep in mind she thought that her girlfriend was dead for a year now. Plus a lot of people, including myself, when they like someone they don't know how to really cope with it so in Violet's case the best way to deal with it is to be snappy about it and possibly try to push Clem away maybe because she's scared if she does get with her it's going to be like Minerva all over again.
The whole point as well is, although they are clearly friends, she and Louis are very different people. So the player can choose someone who is funny and more upbeat or someone who can relate more (not saying Louis can't because he's just lost his friend) and have a serious talk with. Yes, Louis does a lot more when it comes to AJ like calming him down with his music, giving him the rest of his food, although he's hungry and helping AJ up after Marlon's shoved him to the floor but I highly doubt Violet doesn't care about AJ considering she says that he can have the box colours despite it belongs to Sophie and she knows if Tenn doesn't get the colours he'll be very upset.
Plus, we won't find out how Louis will handel AJ killing Marlon. I see him as being awkward around AJ but not hating him until he's finally ready to forgive him but yet that's if Telltale wanna play it like that.

I finally managed to play the game yesterday. I gotta say, I like this ship better. Not because I like girl on girl romances or that I am a dude, but because I just find Violet to be the most realistic of the two characters. Whether or not, Violet is the right person for Clementine, we shall see. But I do feel a better chemistry between her and Clementine than Louis.

I agree too. Clem deserves to be happy and I think Violet is that person who will make her happy including Clem making Violet happy too. Both suffered lose and both want to feel like they are fighting something and they realize they are going to fight together and survive together too. I think Violet makes Clem want keep moving forward. Violet herself wants that too. I can't wait for ep 2.

I played ‘Done Running’ twice and figured I’d chime in based on how I see violet react to my choices. I still like her character after talking to her about Minnie and Brody, and depending on how she and louis interact with clem in ‘Suffer the Children’, I’ll be open to taking everything I said back.

And Lara vows to save her. ) She then proceeds to focus on her dad's theory and proving he's right only to have sinister conspiracy at the end to tie into shadow. Lara is a stone cold psychopath. A remorseless killing machine. And filthy rich besides. She's hard to empathize with.

Completely agree. I'm glad uncharted ended before it became another halo or call of duty. I'd love to see another dead space game.
