  • They were dead in the water Many months ago but they thought there deal with netflix could give them the boost to keep going so they stayed silent to all employes and customers in hopes this would some how work out with no one knowing thus not affecting there media or sales outlook but something happened were Netflix deal with stranger things got canceled and there gamble was off they just don't have any money now.

    Sorry my friends, it is.

  • Thank god i didnt buy TWD s4. I was just thinking to buy it as soon as possible.

  • I understand now. I've read some fleeting news a while ago about TT staff being overworked to shit and not sure if they were paid for the long hours either. And then I think there was some firing of the employess that took place ? But I had thought at the time that we, or TT actually, moved past this.

So it was him, this Kevin burner guy. I'd say it's nice to put a name to the face but it's not nice at all actually. This dude may have ruined TT.

  • often meddling in the projects.

That is an understatement...he would demand rewrites...sometime changing the feel of entire scenes and causing the company to have to strip things out of the game...then round up the voice actors again to do the new scene...that's a lot of cash

  • Yeah I considered waiting until all episodes had been released (as I had with the original season). Regretting that. The first episode was fantastic, could have avoided the blue balls.

Oh well, another confirmation that we aren't going to see the last 2 episodes.
Voice actress of Lilly said that. Now the only one who is missing is the CEO himself, then we can make our peace with it for good.

  • To me it sounds like employees know just as much as we do. Ultimately the final decision needs to come out of the heads of Telltale themselves. Best to wait for an official statement from Telltale.

  • Agreed. I'm not trusting anything I read until we get an official statement from Pete.

  • The price could drop for 4.99 an episode? Who knows how the stores will change the products to compensate for TT going under.

  • A week ago everything was fine. This is too much to process. I want, I need closure for this game

  • Waiting for an official statement from Pete is like waiting for a doctor to tell you whether or not your loved one survived surgery. Fuck, it's only been a few hours and it's painful.

Off topic: omg I just realized Melissa Hutchinson is the VA of Ashe from LoL, which is one of my main pick of the game O-o
This makes her even greater in my eyes!

  • We're gonna be waiting till next week. Monday at the earliest.

  • You know how it's...you know...impossible to get blood from a stone? I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's really going to very hard if not impossible to get 2 more walking dead episodes out of a company hit by majority layoffs.

  • TFS's lead writer is already out of Telltale, according to her tweets.

    Sounds like it's really over.

  • I guess EP3 and EP4 weren't written in advance this time around?

They probably had an overall script and knew what was gonna happen in the end, but that’s about it... a bunch of characters relationships, story details etc would be develop as the episodes were being released.

  • I sure as hell hope that they will at least post some paragraphs with the story if twd is really canceled. Blue balling us like this would be downright cruel

  • That is not what he said. https://mobile.twitter.com/Futterish/status/1043323952398049280

Look at this tweet and you tell me if he is saying it is cancelled or not.

Mike Futter admits the season is canceled...says yelling at Telltale won't change anything because they know it already you wanted it finished.

  • When did she say this?? You can't be serious!!!

  • Telltale said that when they started writing season 4 they began with the ending and went from there..I'm really, really hoping that this season gets finished.

We don't know and Telltale doesn't know,ok. Wait for a few days and just calm down.

  • Don't rely on voice actors for information. Literally what happens with them is that they go in months before a game is released and record lines. They hear very little news from then until release. They only know what we know at the moment.

  • The leadership have to have known it was coming down for some time. But they must have had already invested a lot in TFS development, wanted to make as much as they could have out of it, and didn't want it to have affected its early sales. Pretty shameful, but corporate America gonna corporate America.

How did Telltale not fucking see this coming? You decided randomly today "Yeah well our finances are fucked. Bankruptcy and layoff time!" Yo
