  • I wouldn't even trust the voice actors right now. They don't know what will happen and yet they think they know. The CEO will give official statement hopefully soon and we need to finish the final season.

Don't rely on voice actors for information. Literally what happens with them is that they go in months before a game is released and record lines. They hear very little news from then until release. They only know what we know at the moment.

  • To make things even worse, the announcement came on a Friday... Now we have to wait till Monday for some news.

  • The people fired can't finish the story, because they are fired.

That doesn't mean the story can't get finished

However, I do think it will be cancelled

    Well...

  • Monday will be the decision. I hope to God we will finish this last season of the The Walking Dead. We need this last Telltale game. Come On CEO. Pls let it happen.

  • Yeah... just saw that.

I still think they would have to finish the game some how though? Like episode 3 and 4's quality might be shit, but they have to finish the game. People have bought season passes, they would need to give out refunds because the season pass charged for content that was never given.

I still think the law suit is probably behind this, have a feeling they lost. For Telltale to suddenly just "die" like this seems like something major had to have happened.

  • Actually, while Vampyr didn’t do so well in terms of reviews, it sold really well. Got half a million game’s sold in little over a month worldwide, which hit the expectations of the game.

Didn't DontNod just release Vampyr which bombed?

  • Someone else on this thread already posted this thing.

  • I don't really care if there is a refund policy or not, I just want them to somehow conclude Clementine's story in a satisfying way, even if they just tell us everything that was going to happen throughout the season via Twitter.

  • i dont want a refund I WANT MY ENDING

  • I feel really awful for the employees there. This is just a complete mess and I can't imagine the thinking process of the higher ups.

  • Ok but on the original report it said that Telltale was falling BECAUSE the Netlix deal fell through...
But the lead writer for episodes 1 2 and 3 have been fired.
    ...not exactly a good sign

To be fair, the statement said they were keeping 25 to fulfill obligations to board and partners, said nothing about fans. They had a contra

  • Despite how bad I feel right now about the chances of not having an ending for the game, I can't stop thinking about all those people losing their jobs, working hours for nothing. I just hope they find another job soon.

hell, i think the guys at Konami are actually trying to be better since last june, maybe they are "doing a Capcom". for some weird reasons they are really supporting some games like Bomberman with a shitload of free dlcs and are investing a lot of money and employees for their video games branch, they even created a new division for console games and removed some budget for the casino and fitness branch.

but that's kinda out of the subject.

  • So...we aren't getting refunded are we?
...And now it makes so much sense that they didn't let us buy the episodes individually. Bet the board figured there was a strong possibility of this happening, so they figured lets make the most cash possible and charge $20 for it. Damn, I don't think a single one of us thought of that.

  • dont speak for the masses, i bought the game through steam and there was no package.

  • They had multiple deals with Netflix. The Minecraft deal is proceeding as planned. The Stranger Things deal fell through. My guess is they were gonna use the initial injection of cash from the Stranger Things deal to finish out TFS but when it fell through they didn't have the money to finish TFS.

  • Things are looking grim, we have to accept that we will most likely not be getting a refund. At the most, we might get a compensation package, maybe something like a free Telltale game or something. I wouldn't get my hopes up though.

  • I just hope we will have SOMETHING.

You know if we wont ever have any ending, I just pretend that Wellington ending with Clementine going with Kenny will be the true ending for me, I will just pretend that ANF and first 2 episodes of S4 never happened.

  • It's kind of funny how the saddest death within Telltale was their own company.

  • I'm just pointing out how it is impossible to get a refund or a decent compensation package from this.
