  • I don't want a refund from Telltale. They can keep my money. I am not fussed about spending money and potentially not getting all 4 Episodes. I am so happy I got my hands on The Walking Dead: The Final Season and that I had the opportunity to play such a game.

  • Same here.

  • So they basically scammed us

  • Please release the game engine with character models for modders ^_^

  • Well I'm gonna go get drunk and question my life. I'll see y'all in the morning.

  • They didn't even give the employees a severance package, something tell me we arent getting a refund

Things are looking grim, we have to accept that we will most likely not be getting a refund. At the most, we might get a compensation package, maybe something like a free Telltale game or something. I wouldn't get my hopes up though.

  • The game has now been officially canceled, not confirmed by Telltale, but some new articles have been posted. Rip

  • Looks like a little bit of tweetus deletus went on.

  • Why Valve still didnt remove the game from steam store? What are they waiting for?

  • The game will still be on the store, but only episode 1 and 2 will be available for purchase.

  • To be fair, giving away keys for free downloads on Steam costs them nothing, or next to it. Giving a severance package to employees takes actual money.

Ye but I'm not sure if Valve would allow such things. They wont allow that customers have to pay full price for a game with only 2 episodes instead of 4 as intended.
Either they cut the price in half or they remove the game from the store I suppose.

  • They may adjust the description of the game.

  • Either release the rest of TFS(meaning all eps, not just ep 2) or give me my refund. I love their games but there is no way I'm not gonna fight them on this scamming shit.

  • They never finished episodes 3 and 4, and they don't have enough money to give out refunds.

  • We’re legally obligated to get our refunds so this shit won’t slide in the eyes of the law

  • Don't quote me on this, but I don't think that they are legally obligated to give people refunds.

  • Of course they are, if a game makes people pay for the full content but don’t deliver then they are required by law to give anybody who asks for it a refund. I’ll be getting mine no matter what if they’re not going to finish it.

  • idk. We paid for a full game ahead of time. If we don't get it, surely they'd be legally required to refund our money, at least the portion that wasn't delivered on, so half of it. That could be why they haven't officially announced the season has been cancelled, so they can deliver episode 2 before the refund demands come in, which means they only have to refund half of the money instead of three fourths.

Don't quote me on this, but I don't think that they are legally obligated to give people refunds.

  • Not if they've gone bankrupt

  • I’m getting my money one way or the other

    Not if they've gone bankrupt

  • That's what I was thinking, I am pretty sure there are some laws protecting people or companies that file for bankruptcy.

    Not if they've gone bankrupt

  • Idk about you, but my copy was purchased from Steam, not TTG. Steam can refund my money and then they can take it up with TellTale. They have access to fancy lawyers and can actually get their money back.

    Not if they've gone bankrupt

  • Tbh I don't even care about getting a refund. I want closure.

  • Me too. I'd much rather have that than a refund but in lieu of closure, I'll take a refund.

  • Here's hoping a salty TT employee leaks the entire script.

  • Yall remember job? The fucking awful community manager we had? Well hes out on twitter acting like the new CEO is the reason to blame. And to that I think we can all say "Fuck you, Job."

This shit pisses me off. Job was a fucking joke at Telltale. He didnt do shit for his job to be "killing him." Guy did nothing all year but go to comic con for interviews. Real fucking hard dude. One time this guy did his job was at an AMA and acted like he was better than all of us the fucking fans, the people giving them money, telling us we were just wrong. The fact that he is one of the main problems why Telltale started to fucking go under, and now hes acting like its the new CEO's problem is fucking disgusting. Job made the community fucking pissed at Telltale for handling situations like someone who acted like he was better than everyone, and never doing his job of communicating (which apparently was sooooo hard to do) and then he fucking jumps ship after helping fuck Telltale over for the future, and then when it sinks blames the new CEO. That is just sad, its like if you installed a virus on your friends laptop and then say its their fault they got the virus. And to top all of this he fucking plugs himself for his dumb company. What a fucking joke. Just wanted to get that out there because what he is saying really pissed me off. So lets all laugh at this meme that triggered the might Job.

  • LMAO @ the title of this thread...they won't refund because they have no money and they definitely can't finish ALL their contracts with 25 people. They are filing Chapter 11 most likely which means the individuals are not required to fulfill any obligations whatsoever in terms of outstanding debts. These forums and website servers will likely shut down in the coming months as well, as no one's going to pay for hosting. I've been hear for four years, sucks it went out this way, but it's been a pleasure discussing with you all.

  • Am I gonna read in the news about how a former Telltale employee got mugged for 20$ in the future?

  • This isn't happening.

Please someone tell me this isn't fucking happening.

  • javi exits the camper with a hook hand.

What was the ending? Make a thread about it

  • This is a reality, my man. Reality doesn't care about anyones feelings, unfortunately.

What’s gonna happen if it does get canceled? I mean we paid for 4 episodes. If we dont get 4 episodes everyone who paid for TFS legally dese

Six years of investment in this series and we possibly might not even be able to see it through to the end.

Extremely disappointed, just hoping now they find some way to get Ep 3 and 4 out the door, even if it takes a long delay. Clem's story shouldn't be ending before her final season is even done. It's just not right.

  • I'm starting to feel like Kenny, I've been pissed off for a solid 9 hours straight now, no sleep either. Telltale had better give us that official fucking statement soon to tell us just what the fuck happened!

  • They advertised it as "you get access to all 4 episodes" the steam page literally says that.
Legally, there is no way they can spin it. If they don't deliver, and don't offer refunds, someone is getting in serious legal trouble.
