Did telltale just steal our money?
So TTG is done for sadly but you just put up a season pass only game with no buy episode one at a time thing and just stole about $20 off us for the price of one episode?

pretty much.
lol no
With 25 employees left to simply keep the company on minimal functioning capacity, It's safe to say they didn't steal from anyone.
if they keep the money we paid for a full season, then yes, they did steal our money.
i'm done with episodic games, its a con.
yeah, and they are only doing it so they dont break contract with Netflix, they dont give a fuck about us. Didnt even mention us in the closure post
bankruptcy =/= intentional theft
Episodic games aren't a con it's telltale had a horribly toxic work culture and very poor management that resulted in their current downfall.
I could care less about my $20. I want someone to save my game. That's it.
They stole my will to live.
If they break contract with Netflix, that'd have worse ramifications for the studio and employees than upset fans.
Honestly, I don't see any future telltale game being if any decent quality of worthwhile with only a skeleton crew of 25 people remaining.
Apparently it seems Season 4 will be finished, but sadly episodes 3 and 4 will pretty obviously be a huge downgrade.
If I’m offered a refund I won’t take it. I want the rest of the fucking season not 20$.
Says who?
they really don't care, they have obligations to their 'board and partners', but not us?
i guess that season pass money was how they met those obligations.
and now while those people cash their checks and run, we can look forward to very genuine apology and a 'thank you for all the support over the years', a Gif of clementine waving goodbye, maybe one of Lee, the usual.
and then i guess we can go fuck ourselves, because telltale certainly just did. their keeping that money, and there's nothing we can do about it.
They better give us the last two episodes, or else the ramifications will be that they lose their loyal fanbase. Minecraft, who cares about Minecraft?!
what are we going to do? sue them? stage a boycott? Next month they wont even exist. it's over, we got screwed.
This is why you should never pre order games
Aye....screwed we may be...but at least...if they then come back from this, after minecraft..somehow...then at least I know I won`t support em ever again, because they chose to be corporate than to stay faithful to their fans.
Why would they care about their fan base when the studio is basically dead now.
One of their partners is Skybound. Isn't like they need to finish TWDG only for the fans.
who was in charge of TT while it all went to shit? find out who it is, follow his life, and simply refuse to buy any games from the next company he works for in the VG industry, if enough people do it, he will never work in the industry again.
EA will probably name him their next cfo, look at how masterfully he stole our money.
Kevin Bruner.
start a petition saying you will never buy a game from a company that he works for, if enough people sign it, nobody will hire him.
allthough i doubt we will get many signatures
Some rumor going around from some insider saying the 25 people will also finish the game, its far from confirmed, but seems like something they would have to do to avoid law suits of false advertising.
lmfao someone should make a meme about that!
That fuckin last episode better be 5 mutha fuckin hours long or there will be a lawsuit
lol
I sure as shit didn't pay 20 bucks for 2 45 min eps I hope it's true that they will continue what they started and then closedown for all I give 2 golden showers and a sherbet shit.
And skybound is owned by Robert Kirkman the creator of the walking dead franchise
theres no point at looking at Telltale and the game as one because there not,TT is/was a revolving door company that anyone with any talent left ,the PR was horribly toxic, just one big mess of a company that would never listen to the fans who made it
Nah EA probably has better people since they steal our money AND keep their company afloat.
Yeah.. I mean apparently the leaders of the company were pretty bad, a lot of employees complained. They brought this on themselves.
I don't know what was the exact cause of Telltale going downhill but its likely that Bruner played a big part in it.
They stole 5 years of my life.
