Im sure if some can’t continue it will be a very small few (like probs 1 maybe 2). The nice thing about voice acting is it’s way more flexible to set up then actual acting sense you don’t have to get multiple VA’s together at a specific location/set unlike acting in movies or tv shows. You can even meet up at multiple locations and times so I’m sure most VA’s will continue.
Campo Santo has some of the talent from The Walking Dead Season One like Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin (not so sure if he is there or not). T… morehey released Firewatch a couple of years ago and it was a pretty successful game praised for its presentation and story and are currently working on a new game called "In The Valley of The Gods". As for Deck Nine..... I don't know them all that well... sorry
I honestly think getting the original Voice Actors to finish is more important to me than the animations at this point. It would ruin the season if the voices change halfway through. Especially for Violet. Her voice is so perfect the way it is. Going back and editing their voices on an already finished episode would be extremely time consuming i'd imagine as well. And since we already finished the 2 episodes we'd have to go back to get adjusted to the new voices. I just hope the VA were paid for their contract already or someone has the funds to do so, so they are either obligated or can be pursuaded to join the new devs and give their brilliant talents. It'd be awesome. It really defines the characters.
If some of the voice actors don’t continue can’t they just get different ones and have them voice the previous episodes so it wouldn’t just … moresuddenly sound different in the rest of the episodes? You’d obviously have to keep Melisa and Nikki for Clem and Lily but other then that you could technically just use a different voice actor for the others and just update the previous episodes with their voiceover sense their characters first appeared in TFS.
I hope this game is finished at least. It's unfair to release it only halfway done (reminds me of the DLC for Heavy Rain years ago, circumstances are different though)
I have yet to play Ep.2. Hope it's good after all this waiting.
I am new to these two companies Camp Santo and Deck Nine. I mean if they good companies? Then it is okay with me. Also I hope someone gives … moreKevin Burner the middle finger when Telltales gives The Final Season to the new company. Lol I would love it. He is the reason and along AMC and Lionsgate for ruining this company. Fuck Them!
I wonder who it might end up being...
I kinda hope its a more AAA studio for a few reasons. For one it means they could probably adjust a… morend finish the game quicker. Next they have budget, and last because they might buy Wolf S2 while they are at it.
I just hope if its announced it isnt some nobody company that just makes us go "who?"
That's great news. I just hope the new developers won't change the story or art style. If possible. I think Camp Santo would be a perfect choice. Sean Vanaman could work his magic on it. After all, he created Clem and wrote Season 1.

As I said earlier in this thread, it would be one giant middle finger from Vanaman to Bruner that, even after Bruner pretty much pushed him and Rodkin out, he still gets to be the one to ultimately finish Clem's story, even if he personally won't have much say in it.
Although honestly, if Campo Santo were to be the ones, I wouldn't be opposed to Vanaman writing a little bit for it, considering his involvement with S1, just so long as they stick to the original vision for the season.

Good news. Can we keep it that way? Please? The drama has become too exhausting, and as I've said, I'm 110% done with it. Drama is one thing. Poorly timed drama makes you wanna snap and never look back and there's been a lot of that over the last week.
I hope whoever wants to take on the role treats the direction of the rest of the story with the respect and passion that's been shown to this point by the original staff. Don't change anything (unnecessarily). Just adapt the script handed to you, hopefully as fans of the game who also want to see Clem's journey end. Please. I also hope the voice actors come back despite everything.

What certainly doesn't help is that, for the past couple of weeks, it's been a literal roller coaster, with good news immediately being followed by bad news, and so on and so forth.
Good: Telltale releases Episode 2 trailer, everything is going fine.
Bad: Telltale fires 90% of their staff, only a skeleton crew remains, and now 250 are out of a job with no severance and expiring health benefits.
Good: We will still be getting Episode 2 of TFS.
Bad: All other projects are cancelled and the remaining two episodes are in limbo.
Good: The scripts are fully completed for Ep. 3 and 4, as confirmed by former staff.
Bad: Everything else is not ready, and numerous other staff are not sure if it will ever be made.
Good: Telltale said they are not shutting down.
Bad: It's so obvious that they will be shutting down.
Good: Telltale confirms they are in talks to continue TFS through another company.
Bad: Former Telltale staff filed a class action lawsuit that will hurt the financially struggling company even more so.
Good: Episode 2 is released, it's an amazing episode.
Bad: It was revealed that they fired everyone because planned investments by AMC and Smilegate fell apart at the last minute on Thursday, which prompted the company to fire damn near everyone to stay afloat.
Good: Telltale says they will have more info in regards to TFS by the end of the week, and they sound pretty confident in regards to what will happen to it.
That just means another Bad thing is bound to happen soon. Please God, let's just get off this roller coaster and end on a somewhat happy note.

That's what I'm worried about, that would be the next inevitable bad news that could come forth. So, my weekend is either going to be me sulking in the corner, or jubilantly celebrating. The ball is in your court right now Telltale, and I'm very worried considering the last time Telltale was negotiating something, it literally caused the company to be put on life support.
That's exactly what I'm afraid of. I honestly think I could've accepted it more had TFS already been finished. A part of me can do without TWAU2, because the wait had already been so long. And Stranger Things had never really been on my radar, though I would've definitely checked it out. I just wanna go back to the old days. I miss being gut-punched by Telltale's writing. Not by Telltale's mismanagement.

"Multiple potential partners" says someone will buy it. The only hiccup I can forsee is if TT tries to use this sale to completely save the company (rather than saving the game) and making it too expensive, thus partners backing out of the deal. As long as TTG has a reasonable price, I don't see this not getting sold. Another concern would be the new company releases the final 2 episodes in "show" or comic book form instead of the game. Which would be okay since we would see the ending, but it would be disappointing that you don't actually play the game.
I am also concerned the new company will change the scripts for 3 and 4. I want them to go forward with what the original team planned. From start to finish.

I wouldn't mind changed voice actors if done the right way. I would propose that they make a 6 month timeskip at the beginning of episode 3 to justify the change in Clem's voice, assuming that Hutchinson is laid off. In the time skip, she can be seasoned from the war that she's fighting in( making her voice more cold) or she gets hit in the throat.
Handing over production would mean handing over models and art works etc as well as other things including giving them access to their engin… moree.
I think if a deal is completed, the biggest issue would be ensuring that all the voice actors from the series are "retained".
Tbf there is no reasons to change VA since they're not technically part of Telltale or any other company. If another developer takes upon itself to finish up TFS, there are no restrictions for them to hire the default VA. The only thing being that they would need to negotiate a new contract with them.

In regards to who could finish it, i'd love Campo Santo, but I doubt it's going to be them due to their developement of Valley of Gods. They can't just pause it.
Deck Nine is more realistic, but they don't have any experiences with the Telltale Tool.
Now, the most obvious candidate to finish the episodes off are the dudes who made The Collection. They seem to have worked with that engine before and I doubt they are currently swimming in contract-jobs.

The good thing is - They said that They dont know which company will be finishing the game - so it looks like it's almost guaranteed that The game will be finished.
If thats the case, I hope someone will pick up the TWAU and Batman projects as well

Jake Rodkin is also at Campo Santo.

Thanks for verifying. I figured he was at Campo Santo but for some reason I thought he wasn't. Cheers for letting me know
There's absolutely no reason why the previous voice actors wouldn't be able to be brought back to finish off the episodes.

Deck Nine is the developer of Life is Strange: Before the Storm. And I never mentioned Camp Santo.
At this point I dont really care, they could release it in Comic book form and I'd be find with it

Well depending on how long it takes, they may get involved with other engagements. I doubt this would be a serious problem, but still, a worry.
I believe that, whoever does take over, they will not only stick true to the original vision, but the art style as well.
Yeah, personally I vote Camp Santo. It would be cool to have Sean Vanaman working on TWD again.

Yeah, I agree.
For the foreign dubbing, how goes it ?
Oh heck yes! I would pay extra for that!
Unless they take some moral high ground.

They should, and they'll probably bring back some of the original designers/animators/and writers too with any luck

Nobody knows that yet.

...please dont fuck it up who ever takes it...finally got a season to actually.surpass S1
If they completely fuck up the writing, I'm considering the episodes non-canon. IDC.
same
tbh, TWAU 2 was never on my radar because to me, the Fables comics really are that good of a continuation. imo at least.
