Almost all of the voice acting has already been done for TFS
That's some pretty good news when it comes to the future of TFS, I'd say.

I thought this guy was posting nothing but bad news? Top 10 anti-villains.
I'd stay optimistic and skeptical of sources such as these. Unless Telltale themselves comment on the issue, I'd be skeptical to accept this as fact. Until Telltale releases further information all we have is he/she said speculation and comments.
This was the previous lead designer of the final season, this is extremely trustworthy.
Michael Kirkbride was the season's lead designer. Before he got fired that is. I doubt he'd be lying about the voice lines. Not much to gain there.
This guy was the lead designer of S4 mate, if anyone knows what status it's in, it's him.
Melissa Hutichson (Voice actress of Clementine) and the Creative director both confirmed that TFS was cancelled when in fact it is currently in limbo. It could very well be credible, but other credible sources have made statements before which haven't turned out to be true.
Neither confirmed it, both said that they didn't know how it could be completed, and that to the best of their knowledge it was cancelled. They probably saw the articles and assumed the worst, just like all of us.
Melissa never said anything about not doing voice lines for the future episodes. She just said that she didn't know what the future of the game series was.
I know I'm probably reaching a bit, but the Lead Director is more likely to know more about this sort of stuff than the Creative Director.
As for the other sources, not all of them had proof that they were the actual devs, especially on Reddit. Unlike Michael Kirkbride, who, you know, posted actual proof. On Reddit of all places.
Didn't he say only the scripts were done last week? I can't keep track.
That's why I'm just waiting for official announcements from Telltale regarding TWD. There's so many conflicting reports and He/She said accounts, comments, statements, etc. Its nearly impossible to tell what's correct and what isn't.
Here you go:
Didn't necessarily say only the script was done. Just that Episode 4 wasn't in proper production yet.
What Im confused about is no one really knows how use the Telltale Engine except for Telltale themselves. Its great the actual story seems to be done, but if this does happen, I think we can expect a big dip in quality especially with episode 4 as that one would need the most from the ground up building.
Absolutely. I doubt anyone else other than Telltale actually knows how to properly use the engine. How will they expect to make an entire episode within months (if they are sticking to a reasonable schedule) with no knowledge of the engine?
I mean, if it takes them 2 years to give us a somewhat reasonable episode, then so be it. But I doubt they'd bother making a single episode for years.
telltale doesnt know how to properly use the engine either...
lol, true
I'm sure some type of training existed for new employees, and even if there wasn't odds are Telltale would give them some kind of rundown on it. The quality might still be good, it'll just take a lot longer to make.
So I guess we're back to 3 months in between episodes. Not that I mind.
Something tells me Episode 3 won't be delayed by that much, but Episode 4 is probably going to be one of the longest waits in the entire series, if not the longest. Pretty fitting honestly.
Episode 4 out by 2019, can't wait.
At least it ain't cancelled.
Yet.
pls
If the VA is done and they just need the animation, I see no reason why it can't be completed on time or at least close to it
(assuming the new company picks it up within the next few weeks)
Almost all of the voice work is done. They probably will need to re-record a few lines if they don't sound top notch and then get the remaining VAs back. So expect a delay of some sort.
Whatever they need. I'm willing to wait however long if it means the series is saved, and the original script is followed to the T.
Also if the original team who made the game gets paid what they deserve, that'd be great too.
Episode 3 needs some polishing whilst Episode 4 needs to be produced.
Considering originally Episode 3 was meant to be out in November (and is supposedly near finish), that gives them some time to at least get started with Episode 4.
That's actually not very assuring.
