Not that but it's insanely obvious, more obvious than Clem supposedly getting bitten. I'd rather have Telltale do something different and unexpected here, such as having both twins dead, thus making Violet change slightly, and Clem is the one to re-instate her happiness. Something like that.
I'm starting to think that she said that just to lure people out to help. I assume they died in their war but she knew she'd be playing into… more the heart strings of the school kids.
Might sound a bit mean but at this point i'm hoping she doesn't come back. It'd completely shoot a canon ball into the Violetine ship. Violetine above all lol.
Let me just say that there is little to no reason to ship Clem with Louis, since most things he does, Violet does better. She's actually helpful, which is perhaps the most important part. Louis rarely does things that are beneficial to the group. Whilst Mitch is out there crafting bombs, Louis is out there still letting his emotions out and missing all the arrows. If he actually got things done, then perhaps I would support Clouis.
''But Louis is funny and sweet and Clem needs tha-''
Two words: Chicken nuggets. Oh, and I like her charisma, y'know when she says ''whatever, let's just make our own'. It's notable that Violet seems more realistic than Louis as a person. I could imagine her as a real friend, but with Louis, it's pretty improbable that a guy like him, who primarily relies on humour (which isn't even funny, I didn't even snigger at any of them) to get friends, not to mention he still finds enjoyment in playing with walkers 8 years in, would turn up at a school.
''But Louis cares about AJ''
Well so does Violet. In the constellation mini-game, Violet speaks good of AJ, saying he's getting better and praising Clem for raising him well. Whilst Louis lets his emotions get the best of him and doesn't even want AJ to take his gun with him. Seriously, you think he's gonna shoot you?
It's also worth noting that the stars mini-game can last longer and the scenery, atmosphere, mood and tone is much better. Louis also didn't need Clem for his ''project'' you could tell with how he was sitting next to her and she looked at him that he wanted more and it all feels rather cheap and obvious to me.
Futhermore, ikr there's so much to say, Kenny approves of this ship.
Vi didn't take lily's bait.
Vi took up the leader role when no one else did and stepped up despite what happened to brody and finding out what happened to sophi and mini and even though vi was clearly upset and angry about what happened.

Vi was 1 out of 3 people who voted for clem and aj to stay.

Vi fires an arrow which allowed aasim, willy, and aj to run towards the school entrance where clem was standing at to fire an arrow herself which allowed all 3 them + her to make it safely into the school to use the trap.
Vi makes mitch go with clem for protection.
Whether you're mean to vi or not before telling vi to fire the arrow at lilly or whether you tell vi and louis to run the dialogue vi has when you get back to the school and speak to her shows how much she cares about clem. Vi thanks clem and calls clem brave if you tell her and louis to run. Vi also shows care and concern for louis.
You can also give aj his own constellation if you go with vi and see a cool easter egg. And like the post above me mentioned vi says clem is doing good with aj and vi speaks good of aj.
And even if clem calls vi a f'ng a hole vi says "okay sure, go ahead and say that kind of shit to me. I can take it. That was badass. And all vi asks clem do in return is to not stir up trouble with the others because they weren't happy clem returned.

Violet is more popular because straight black male characters generally aren't very popular among shippers & lbgtq shippers are the most fervent shippers around so Louis was pretty much destined to be less popular from the start. Poor Louis
Violet is more popular because straight black male characters generally aren't very popular among shippers
I'm not saying that's not the reason why she's more popular, but I think a lot of people like girl on girl action more than guy on girl, even though we haven't really gotten any.
Louis was pretty much destined to be less popular from the start
Not really, he's the comic relief character, meant to put smiles on everyone's faces with his jokes and shit, which he does. I like him more than I like Violet, but I wanna see two chicks do stuff together as a guy, I wanna be the character who's going out with a girl, so I ship her with Clem. I speak entirely for myself when I say this.

"I'm not saying that's not the reason why she's more popular, but I think a lot of people like girl on girl action more than guy on girl, even though we haven't really gotten any."
The straight guys being okay with girl on girl is a factor which is a part of why we're getting so much tween lesbianism in games lately e.g. 2 life is strange games, The Last of Us, & now with Clementine. Definitely way more than dude on dude as it's a way of getting pro lbgtq brownie points without squeaking out the mostly straight male player base. I still think that gets overstated as a excuse as I myself personally have zero problem with playing a narrative driven game with a female character in a hetero romance any more than I have a problem seeing a romance play out on film.
So i definitely feel the key factors that predetermined Violet>Louis is straight black male characters virtually never being popular in gaming "ship" culture. Add the fandom hoppers who basically live for lbgtq ships wherever they can find them & top it off off with straight dudes into "girl on girl action" and Louis never stood a chance.

Lgbtq representation still pales in comparison to straight representation in video games, tv shows, movies, etc. All you have to do to see how much louis is loved and how many people ship clem with him on just youtube alone is go to videos about clem + vi or watch playthroughs where the youtuber chooses vi over louis and look at the comments. Even in playthroughs where the youtuber only befriends vi there's so many comments from louis fans and clouis shippers and those comments have a lot of likes. If louis didn't stand a chance or never had a chance you wouldn't be seeing so many comments on youtube that show otherwise even on videos that are about vi + clem. The only mc that I know of that is gay is ellie. In any other game where there's romance the character you play as is either just straight or can be gay if you want them to be.

I ship Clementine and Violet because I think they are perfect together. I like Violet because she is a serious person, she is strong, and she really cares about Clementine. Now, can we stop with this bullshit? My god, according to some people's logic, if someone likes Violet is a libtard social justice warrior that wants to destroy the glorious white master race society. You like Violet? You like Louis? Good. They are both good choices, but as I said, I prefer Violet. Stop with this stupid ship war. You look like children.
To some people when ellie kissed that girl it was forced, there was an agenda being pushed, and then there were people who were basically saying because it's gay I don't like it. There were people who acted like that kiss triggered a countdown to humanity's destruction. That's what some people think with any gay relationship. It's really irksome. Clem isn't gay, you do know it's optional right? Ew lesbians, there's nothing ew about that. Vi turned clem gay, no the player chose to make clem gay because it's an option. And there are people who just hurl insults because they either hate any gay character or strongly dislike them.

Excactly! Why can't there be a gay couple in games that are actually popular? I think there's one in Fallout, but other than that they're not really well known. But here in popular games like TLOU, LiS and more, there's so many lesbian couples, and people take it well. Now, if there were to be a gay romance in a story-based game, I wonder how people would respond to it. Would they see it as cheesy? Would they like it a lot, but still wonder 'eww, this is like gay'. I am very accepting of it but if I must admit I'd rather not do that if I had the chance.

Okay that's just silly lol. You can get the cat skull with hunting to you know. Also, the developers actually said that not only was the Louis scene hard to do, but that they loved it just as much.
I'm not sure about this, but in the Lou scene he can comment on Clementines hand. So there's that for you, l haven't seen that in violets scene.
You get the Cat skull when you go with Violet in the first episode, you get Kenny when you go with her in the second... Telltale prefer(ed) Violet, too.
Dude the closest I saw was Simon and Markus in Detroit. They are so cute and I'm devastated that they weren't developed. It was confirmed that Simon was going to be a romance interest but it would have taken even longer.
They are definitely one of my favourite couples even though you can't be a couple in it.

Both scenes had a lot of care and attention, just thought I'd point that out
Also it depends how much you want to keep said playthough. I'd always keep the first since it's blind and you didn't know what to expect buuut that's just me xD
In which case it suffers from so many revisions. It is good don't get me wrong, and fits well. The amount of care and attention that went into getting it right was good, but as a result it just lacked those extra details.
With Violet , the constellation mini-game and Kenny easter egg really improves what could have otherwise been a generic scene. The dialogue options that weren't the kiss were also really well acted too.
Kudos to the Devs though. Those scenes and the rest of the episode make up one of the best episodes out of every season.

Yeah, I think that overthinking a scene can ultimately miss out details.
Do you know if Violet can comment on Clems hand though? I think that's the alternative to Kenny's Easter egg on Lous scene. Though to be fair It'd be a bit tricky to implement that type of Easter egg into a piano lol.
To be fair I think all non kiss dialogue scenes were done amazingly. You've got Vi being very gentle when you choose the take it slow option, then you've got Lou saying that they are both weirdos when Clem calls him a weirdo. I just love how both scenes cater to each character so well.
I definitely agree there. Its been a while since I've made my neighbours feel like there was a murder happening in my house with all my screaming lol. Now that's saying something.

When Violet said do we have time to hang out, I was thinking they were gonna..... you know ? Pow ch’kawow-wow
Love it!
Have a good day;)
Clem could just be Violet's rebound until she sees Minnie again. Louis has nothing, so he's all about Clem.
Louis has a nice life. Unlike rest of them with Violet being in the centre ;DDDD

Mmmm... I love cheese.
I friendzoned Violet but I consider her a lot better than Louis.
I dont know how some people could actually like that guy, he is basically a clown.
i don`t really count that as a friendzone. Vi takes it really well and really wants to be good friends at the least

Can't make my mind up whether i want to redo my first playthrough and romance violet or louis instead of friendzoning.
Same for some fucking reason. Originally I friendzoned Violet and saved her too.
since you are on this post and not Luis`s i assume you already know who to pick
I'm just going to replay the game a bunch of times for these sole reasons xD
