"Lgbtq representation still pales in comparison to straight representation in video games, tv shows, movies, etc."
Honestly if you look it up you'll find that lbgtq representation is actually quite over represented in media comparatively to the number of people in real life who are actually gay based on the hard data. I mean do you somehow feel it should be around 50/50 just cause? I see numerous interracial couples/families irl almost daily but way less in the media as hetero Interracial relationships (especially involving white female characters) are far more under represented than gay relationships.
Yes there are Louis fans but when it comes down to it the numbers show that any every player choice between Louis & Violet, the majority of players go with Violet and I believe it's largely because of the reasons i've mentioned. Obviously few people are willing to admit to such biases.
It's actually interesting that it's been highlighted on various gaming discussion boards how most popular western games in recent years that allow you to play as a female protagonist they are usually either sexually ambiguous/optionally non straight/ or officially gay/bi female Eamples: Alloy (Ambiguous) , Lara Croft (Ambiguous), Ellie, (Lesbian), poster girl for Overwatch Tracer( Lesbian) MAX & Choe(Bi or Lesbian), Emily "Dishonored 2"(Ambiguous), Morgan Yu "Prey"(Lesbian or Bi), Ciri (Bi) Any Bioware game (optional)etc... I can be here for a while as the list goes on. There are a few but definitively straight female representation is actually quite under represented
Lgbtq representation still pales in comparison to straight representation in video games, tv shows, movies, etc. All you have to do to see h… moreow much louis is loved and how many people ship clem with him on just youtube alone is go to videos about clem + vi or watch playthroughs where the youtuber chooses vi over louis and look at the comments. Even in playthroughs where the youtuber only befriends vi there's so many comments from louis fans and clouis shippers and those comments have a lot of likes. If louis didn't stand a chance or never had a chance you wouldn't be seeing so many comments on youtube that show otherwise even on videos that are about vi + clem. The only mc that I know of that is gay is ellie. In any other game where there's romance the character you play as is either just straight or can be gay if you want them to be.
I'm a night person and I love stargazing. The constellation scene was very beautiful. When vi placed her hand on clem's and they both stared at the stars with the full moon resting high in the sky it was lovely. Clem and vi's reaction after the kiss and during it was adorable. I thought it was cute when vi says c'mon, you're not chicken, right? and clem replies with no but the way she said it was like someone who just got finished being teased about something embarrassing and tried to play it off but failed at it. Vi: what happened out in the woods, I saw they had you pinned, and I...shit , I got so crazy. When I heard you call for help, I didn't even think.
I wanted to help you, but when you told us to run, I had to trust you. Thank you for protecting us. It was really brave. I really thought you were dead, clem. The alternative dialogue that vi says if you tell vi to shoot lilly and if you're a scumbag to vi: I know you think I didn't do enough for you and aj, but when I saw you were in danger, I just had to do something. I just let go of the arrow. I wasn't sure if I'd hit her.
And when vi made mitch go with clem just incase clem needed protection those moments show how much vi not only loves clem but also really cares about her.
Clem to vi: you're a f'ng ahole you know that?
Vi: okay, sure, go ahead and say that kind of shit to me. I can take it.
Vi's expression then changes to one of concern then vi goes on to say but don't stir up trouble with the others. They're not happy you came back. That's another moment vi shows concern for clem and that she cares about her.
Eh. based on the numbers I'd say "homophobes" aren't making a dent. The anti straight black male crowd is beating them handily. Cute tween lesbianism in particular is very much in right now.
There are biases for both sides and yeah there's a majority but I don't think it's a vast majority of people that prefer vi over louis and ship clem with her.

Those certain types of people are few but they're very loud. And I haven't seen any anti black male crowd. Of course I'm not going to say that they don't exist because they unfortunately do but I haven't seen that kind of hate towards louis. I've seen a lot of negative comments towards vi for being gay though.

Well as it happens the vast majority of people at this point still aren't involved in lgbtq relationships so it makes natural that examples of straight relationships should occur with far more frequency, setting aside one's vested personal interests prioritizing this particular demographic. I just don't see how that is a fair complaint It seems to me that lbgtq representation is actually way more than fair to to the point of being unfair to other demographics by comparison, some of which i've already mentioned that get little to no representation.

I don't mean to complain and I'm not trying to I just think that straight representation is more vast than lgbt representation if you put aside other demographics and straight relationships are more abundant than lgbt ones.

Am I the only that thought it was badass and cool when vi made mitch back up every time she took a step or walked forward? I thought it was funny too. I would love if someone made a gif of that.
I just went over how it makes complete sense as straight relationships are in reality disproportionately more common which is why they would be seen far more frequently. In spite of that fact I've already pointed out how definitely straight female representation is actually wildly underrepresented when it comes to female protagonists in modern mainstream gaming so it just seems a bit disingenuous to lament about representation when you have the curious disparity of lbgtq/ambiguous female protagonists appearing to get more representation in current mainstream gaming than definitively straight ones.

So, given the strong possibility of Minnie showing up in Episode 3 (if there is an Episode 3 that is) how does everyone feel about a potential love triangle between her, Vi and Clem?
I’d watch what you’re saying if I were you ? I said something way milder than that once and got called gay for it. So apparently I’m gay now ? ...for expressing my views on science...

here are the complete lyrics:
Oh my darling, oh my darling
Oh my darling, Clementine
You are lost and gone forever
Dreadful sorry, Cle… morementine
In a cavern, in a canyon
Excavating for a mine
Dwelt a miner, forty-niner
And his daughter, Clementine
Oh my darling, oh my darling
Oh my darling, Clementine
You are lost and gone forever
Dreadful sorry, Clementine
Light she was and like a fairy
And her shoes were number nine
Herring boxes, without topses
Sandals were for Clementine
Oh my darling, oh my darling
Oh my darling, Clementine
You are lost and gone forever
Dreadful sorry, Clementine
Drove she ducklings to the water
Ev'ry morning just at nine
Hit her foot against a splinter
Fell into the foaming brine
Oh my darling, oh my darling
Oh my darling, Clementine
You are lost and gone forever
Dreadful sorry, Clementine
Ruby lips above the water
Blowing bubbles, soft and fine
But, alas, I was no swimmer
So I… [view original content]

Does anyone actually know what happens when Clementine confesses to Violet and stays silent afterwards?
gotta wait for a Youtube vid for that
Aka gotta wait for the fam babyzone

Not going to lie that went over my head. Good talk though.
Also when Mitch tried to push Violet she didn’t even flinch
Lol yeah vi just waved it off.
Is there any new violetine fan art? or some more gifs?
Only thing I could find, have no idea if it was posted before.

It's alright if you're gay, neither I nor anyone else is judging you.
I’m not gay ?
Wait, why did you put "not" between the "I'm gay ?"?
(Commits bleach drink)
You guys better become gays...you have 0 chances...expecially @Melton23
Bamboozled
