What if you were given the choice to go along with Lily's plan?
To manipulate the Ericson group into going with her. Would you do it? I was kinda disappointed it wasn't a option just because it's the last season. I was hoping for a LITTLE less linearity. What a fool I am!
And I know some of yall are diehard Lily fans and agree with her line of thinking, sooo wouldja do it?

Again, if Abel didn't come out shooting and it wasn't explicit they wanted the school, I actually might've considered it.
Also, if that trailer wasn't so overtly dumb.
Lets see. Enslave my friends, fight as a slave in a post apocolyptic war with raider scum bags and child abductors with a narcissistic murderous power tripping rival bitch telling you what to do. Selling out your new friends and love partner for the sake of a cunt who led to the death of Lee, Carly, Ben and more with her selfishness in S1. The same useless heartless hag that Stole the RV and left 3 kids to die in the cold? Executed an innocent girl. Had the nerve to suggest Lee should have abandoned a 8 year old girl to live. Like she would.....
Doesnt sound like my cup of tea in all honesty. I'd rather the option to stomp her teeth through concrete curbs until the gurgling stops. May she rot in hell.
I'd have to say no. I'm not fighting in a war.
Okay, you're way outta attribution, buddy.
Fixed.
What do you mean? She was left because she fucking off'd a group member for no reason. She took and took and took. Not sure why she has so many sympathizers. Carver was less of a piece of shit.
Ya'll seriously have to stretch beyond what actually happened in order to make a case.
She did it because she ended up going too far in trying to find the threat to the group and had already been undergoing grief fueled paranoia leading up to that, making her ironically dangerous.
Was it right for her to do that? No. Was it driven by good, selfless intentions? Yes.
Sometimes, good people do bad things(Kenny) and even worse, broken people do reckless things.
More tacky writing aside(if that's even possible), that's a damn lie.
You know I was kinda wishing TT was gonna give us the option to either comply or refuse Lily's deal, too.
I wouldn't have mind trading the Ericson kids for Clem and AJ's personal safety. They kicked us out and left us for dead.
They were not our "friends" and we only knew them for 2 days at that point.
Obviously that would have involved too much resources and writing trying to make that a determinant.
Weeding out a threat by shooting a random person in the head until you find the one? Thats mental asylum shit. On par with the joker. She was bitter because Carly owned her spoiled daddy's girl ass in the argument and Lilly always had to be in power. She was envious and mad. So she threw a tantrum with a gun.
Then, the worst part is she has the nerve if you let her stay to fucking steal an RV from 2 fathers with children. After being forgiven.
As hardcore as Carver was. I dont think even he would be THAT cold. He'd either just beat your ass or kill you. But leaving little kids for the walkers. Fucking disgusting.
Not that I'm encouraging either way, but the setup does make you think that'd probably be an option.
Then Clem says "I'm not Marlon" without your input and the story goes one way. That even sounded like a dialogue option.
Uh, more like Carley got too personal at the exact wrong moment and poor Doug got in the way when she overstepped.
1. Would she even remember that?
2. Larry did get a heart attack not too long afterwards.
To be fair, she was operating under the reasoning that she'd just continue to be a prisoner(if she was lucky where Kenny is concerned) and they were already in the process of getting the train up & running with the RV itself not able to last very long.
Uh, no she wasn't?
Like, if this is yet another super secret scene in Season 1, feel free to post about that in the details, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
You're kinda pulling that out of a hat again.
Like, I know it's technically possible in the long term, but by definition/design, that situation is very unlikely and Lily herself would've had little input on it.
I mean, to be fair, she doesn't exactly look like a Marlon(not that Lily knew him anyway).
But yeah, still an odd setup that doesn't go anywhere.
If Louis and Violet weren't walking up on the conversation, I suppose I could see where they might be an option to consider. No matter what you said once you reached the school, both of them would've seen you with Lilly and Able. Violet knows Able is the one that's been raiding their supplies as she saw him at the railroad station, and after Brody's death knows they've captured Sophie and Minnie.
While it might be something to entertain had things been handled differently, ( and my feelings about AJ totally aside ) Able was actively threatening/torturing a 5/6 year old. I just don't see anyone agreeing to go along with them for any other reason other than to get them to stop hurting him, and only until another option presented itself ( which it did ).
I could see Clem doing if these two conditions occurs:
1. Louis and Violent weren't there
2. They take AJ with them as a hostage.
Only then, Clem would go along with Lily's plan no matter what. Or tell her the location.
Definitely, food supplies a little more resources... if I were my own character I would’ve said “Signed me up.”
Most definatlly your better off in a community then being out in the woods Surrounded by walkers and pretty much crazy people.
Probably cause the game assumes you're not a complete moron.
THIS
Sure, at that moment Lilly was speaking the truth. Sell out the people who kicked us out, and we get to go to her main base. With 8 kids, maybe she and abel would have been content.
Notice how lilly only filled clem in on their community, it must have been genuine.
It would have been good if that were an option. One could argue that the shitheads kicked you out so you owe them nothing.
Given the choice they have too shoot me
This might not be a popular opinion but I would. I wish they would give us a choice
If this was actually a choice given to the player, that means the game would have given up on even trying to stay true to anything it's established in the past.
Sometimes it seems as if people want to have a wide array of choices simply for the sake of having choices, without one care for whether or not it makes any sense for it to be offered as a choice to this particular character.
In what world is Clementine supposed to be enough of an underhanded, machiavellian cunt to do this? "Well in my playthrough she killed everyon--" no no no, you just stop right there. That doesn't mean shit, you were still playing within the game's rules. Clementine was created and pitched as a moral compass type of character, an anchor to ground the player's choices in S1, and making her playable was on some level a huge mistake in that regard. But to take it a step further and have her seemingly turn into a savage little psychopath? Just to appease the group of people that want to have the option to be able to open fire on a field of newborn children just because the game says it's all about choice? That is stupid. Just... stupid.
And I've given up even being nice about it; anyone that believes this should be offered as a legitimate choice is stupid, and just wants the choice because linearity of any sort in a game about choice is apparently bad. Funny, because I still don't remember Detroit-- a game that prides itself on the array of choices and consequences that stem from them, and is basically the cream of the crop in regards to choice based narrative games-- allowing me to bash Alice's skull against a kitchen counter. So much for 'choices matter', huh? God, I'm sick of this ad hominem "the game didn't give me the ridiculous choice I wanted!" argument already.
But if you want a short answer without a bunch of angry ranting: no. I would not go along with her plan.
I'd have liked an option to take Lilly up on her offer to join the Delta. We had just become homeless (again) and had no supplies (again), any community would be a blessing.
Convincing the other kids... not so much. We were in no position to do it considering they hated us, lol.
There's something just off about this whole plot. These raiders would be considerably more successful at amassing this whole war effort if they just asked people to help them in return for a stay in a stable community. Instead they seem to be picking mini wars everywhere they try to recruit... which is just counterproductive? The whole ordeal with the school cost them 2 adult loyal men and in return they got 3 unwilling kids + another 7 going after them. No profit at all here for sure, lol.
