Kenny is the best character of the series to me, only behind S2 Clem.
S2 is one of my favourite game ever made, I really don't know how people could prefer Jane over Kenny, I tried to watch a video on youtube when Clem shots Kenny and I had to quit watching because I couldn't keep watching any longer...
Best part of that video is those guys who shot Kenny were all crying after that. I mean they shot him and then they cry? It isn't normal in my opinion.

As for Larry, he beat Lees ass too. Does that make Lee a piece of shit? Larry was one burly ex marine son of a bitch who could beat up probably anyone. And when does Lee beat up Kenny? I thought he only beats up Kenny if you make him and my Lee loves his friends and wouldn't do such a thing. Kenny was going through some heavy shit and for Lee to punch him I didn't find that square. A group of cancer survivors? A GROUP meaning he got jumped by like 10 people and you are calling him cowardice for that? None of this is even relevant to what I said about him being loyal to Clem until death unlike literally anyone else aside from Lee.
Fishing? Why do you think he was getting a boat? That was his plan. Glad you thought it was a good idea. I personally didn't But it was certainly way more then anyone else had. And he actually stuck to a damn game plan unlike Lee and Lilly who just wanted to camp out at the motor Inn as if that was a good idea. Kenny's idea was bad for the long term but he had ideas and he was calculated in S1. As for fishing momentarily instead of looking for a boat to be able to fish forever that's just a short time solution to a long term problem. They were panicked and at the beggining of season 1 they weren't even near water yet. It's a undead nightmare. Not exactly "Let's throw some line" situation. Fishing can take hours to catch good fish. Zombies creep up or any bandit. A boat is secluded that's why he wanted the boat.
Egg on carver? He saved Clem from getting that said beating so the whole community sould be kissing his feet. That beating (Armed beating with gun toting guards there) was a savage display of evil and Kenny took that and lost his eye for CLEM. Would Jane do that? Hell, Carlos didn't have the sack. And where were Nick and Luke? They were letting Clem say she did it. Kenny as a damn man stood up and took that beating for a child. Because he was never him first. He was the only character aside from Lee that wasn't him first mentality. Which is why he is the Boat Lord and Savior and the all Boatly one and he deserves all our love.
S2 tried hard to make us hate him which is why you do. But even S2. He beat the living piss out of Arvo. Arvo was a damn Russia mafioso. Probably would have rigged the 2016 election had he lived.
He wallows because he's been through more then any TT character. His wife shot her brains out practically on the guys lap right in front of him moments after his son got executed as a walker and then he watches every friend including his new wife die, get's his eye beaten out of his head and after it all still had to leave Clem at the gate and go in the woods to fend it all alone. Because he's a hero.
Jane on the other hand was a selfish, useless, waste of a NPC that just spent her days being edgy and philospophical. Turning the player against Kenny who really loved you just to abandone an infant in the winter in a undead forrest. Crazy bitch.
Looking down and watching over Clem forever. The only 2 who never wronged her. The only 2 who never waivered in their protecting of who they loved. Even if it caused both of them to die. The heroes of WD.

As for boat god he got his ass kicked by Lee...by Larry...by… more Molly...by a group of geriatric cancer survivors...Hell it would have been even money if he could have beaten Ben. S1 they are starving...never once did he say...hey I know how to fish...I can be useful. S2...stupidly gets Walter killed...wants the group to agree to a suicide pact by trying to charge armed guards. Stupidly eggs on carver and gets his ass kicked...wallows in self pity..AFUCKINGGIN...Mercilessly beats an unarmed prisoner.. So yeah he is a hero.
Never wronged her? Kenny's actions in S2 was hurting Clem. She was tired of it, tired of his selfish his way or nothing attitude. She did not approve of his actions. He was an ill man who needed put down or left behind.
As for Jane...well this is where I have issues with the so called writing in S2. Jane was pro Kenny...urging Clem to help him...but when they got to the end of the season...people had already guessed that Luke and Kenny were going to fight. This caused Telltale to change the ending and all of a sudden Jane was put into the spot...notice how Luke was dropped from the story. It is probable that it was Jane who was supposed to drown the rift between Luke and Kenny to become larger. Kenny's treatment of Arvo(A piece of shit but an unarmed one) was probably going to be the finale straw as I am almost certain Kenny was meant to accidently kill him during a tirade.
As for Jane killing herself...well I could go over statistics of prenatal depression and suicide rates in MODERN society where there are medications for hormonal issues and professional help that an 11 year old just could not handle...though given the writing issues in ANF and how they treated both Kenny and Jane...I am sure they just wanted to be done with both of them as fast as possible.

You see I simply choose Kenny because he was something Jane was not: He was loyal . You can say he was unhinged and dangerous or whatever, But in the end he was OUR madman. I only needed him to be loyal to the two people he remained loyal to until death: Clem and AJ
Kenny isn't perfect. But he isn't one to leave people to die. Look at Ben...he fell, he was as good as dead, but Kenny, after getting what he had coming with Ben telling him off, went after him to at least keep him from turning. Just like with Duck.
Kenny fucked up a lot, but he made efforts to change. He owned up when he could and the few times he didn't....well...I didn't have to fight off thick as Hell zombie Larry because of him, that much is true at least.
Jane is unrepentant, proven more than anything with the whole set up Kenny bit. She set off a grieving, unwell man who just lost an eye, lost a love, failed to save a woman who just gave birth to a child, saw everyone else turn on the group and steal from them after Luke died, shooting Clem and nearly losing her, only for a manipulative bitch to say the baby died too.
And he didn't.
I like Kenny because of his flaws. Because he keeps getting back up. He is not perfect, far from it. He is as broken as Jane is. The difference, he keeps fighting. He doesn't quit. He gets as far as the line, looks at it and turns his ass around.
People need him.
Plus if you listen, he cited going back to Howe's is risky. They do not know if the horde moved on or if Carver's group survived. For all he knew, they would walk back and the 400 days crew would gun them down or worse.
Wellington was a risk, sure. Everything is in their world. But it was Carver free. Seemingly zombie free too.
