The program just lists each characters name, i think alphabetically and different .ogg files for each line and you can click on say Kenny’s “Jesus man i’m from florida” line and save it as a wav or ogg file i think. Its quite simple to use. Probably works for ANF but I couldn’t give a shit about keeping any of those voices.
The second video you posted is strange because there are voices on there that don’t exist in the game files at all, certainly not through the speech extractor so some things heard on that video is not canon with the game. Dude i still haven’t heard the Natasha line isolated. Is there anyone else around who can confirm what @DabigRG claims? I have listened to it like 10 times man and at the part you mentioned. Find me the exact line somehow
That's a neat program, but I was asking more about how the files themselves are arranged. Are they sequestered in individual folders for eac… moreh character or does the program just collect all the file?
I am trying to believe your claim but there really isn’t anything Natasha says in English with the line you say she said and no matter how many times I listened to the shootout scene, i cannot hear anything and god knows how you could have. That’s why i find it very hard to believe.
Considering her line (as well as Buricko's) from that second video was accessible/present for it to collect at all(alongside lines that are used in the game), it's probably somewhere else in the files under a different name.
Or maybe it's just hardwired into the scene itself from before they got the uncredited Russian-speaking voice actors and they didn't have time to remove it.

Interesting. A bit of a clutter, but it sounds like it's maneuverable at least.

Really now? That's odd.
Makes me question where how they got them then.
Dude i still haven’t heard the Natasha line isolated.
I mean, it's being played alongside the other characters arguing, so of course not. It really just takes recognizing the way it's said in the clip and listening for any part of it during the scene itself. The two areas I specified are exactly where I heard it the clearest.
I could try actually finding another video where it may be easier to hear.

I thought about this last night, but perhaps fellow gamedelvers like @Graysonn or even Bossman @Deltino himself could take a look. You know, if they don't already know the specifics from experience.

Well if someone can clearly define the line i’d appreciate it because it is not clear to me at all. I really cannot understand how you heard her speaking in English when it could have been anyone really

Because it sounds nothing like the other characters we'd be familiar with at that point and isn't in Russian?
Try this video. You should hear her saying, "Hey! You!" in the background as Rebecca's walker is being shot, since only she and Buricko(?) are talking at that point.

Ok after delving deep into the game files i can finally put this frustrating debate to rest. Natasha does speak in English, the file was misleading as it said Maud “Speaking Russian” in the game files which is why it took so long to find. So i am man enough to apologise .
However, it doesn’t change the fact that she was not innocent here and to say that she didn’t want to get involved or what you implied is still erroneous. She was saying stuff like “don’t point that thing at me, you’re gonna get us killed with your idiotic posturing” but that’s laughable as she, Buricko and Vitali were pointing the guns at Clem’s group first after all but when they returned the favour she reacted ridiculously. Even though her “perfect” English was in the game files, if you were playing that game it is still stupidly hard to hear exactly what she said so unless you constantly reply that scene you can’t blame us for not hearing it properly. Again if i was basing this on real life, you wouldn’t even be thinking of what they’re saying only that they have a gun on you.
Hopefully you see my point in this. Natasha and Arvo may have been reluctant somewhat to get involved but it doesn’t change the fact that they were ultimately involved and put themselves in the situation to begin with by ambushing the group. I also said earlier that i am pretty sure they would have sided with their fellow Russians anyway if Natasha hadn’t been shot and Arvo trying to resuscitate her.
Hey man, to be honest, I was less concerned about whether there was hard proof within the files for you to see and more about pointing out a peculiar little "easter egg" I discovered by happenstance.
And also because I actually quite like that scene/subplotlet.

Wow, that is either really bizarre or really trollish.

To her individual credit, she was mainly just there to get back what was hers/theirs from people who attacked and robbed her brother.

Oh no, I don't.
If anything, this little escapade proved just how chaotic that scene is that something that odd could sneak right in without most noticing.

What does it say about Season 2's writing that the characters with less to do with the intended principal plot were generally the ones who got more time and effort?

Probably so.

Major: Ben and Doug
Season 2:

Not much about Willy or...?
Nope, not a big fan, sorry.
I guess I am neutral to him.
Eh, it's fine.
Season 2:
Major: 400 days cast
ANF
Major: Ava
I don't hate him or anything. He did make me laugh a few times, though.
