dude just had his fucking middle finger or whatever broken, how do you think he would react? It isn't about if that's what he means or not, it's an accurate answer to a painful and stressful situation.
jesus christ, some people just can't put themselves in the skin of other people
What do you expect from a guy who doesn’t want to teach his daughter how to survive?
You'd probably act the same way if some asshole was breaking your fingers one by one in front of your daughter because their coerced affair ain't payin the way they want it to.
Also, inconsistent storytelling is a little inconsistent.
How did I know you'd come back with something like this?
Doug didnt deserve to die.
They were still better than anf's cast....by 1000%
Carley didn't deserve to die either.
Yeah, but he's talking about Doug.
It's not like they made Carver's model look tougher than Carlos.
Why didn't he put up any sort of resistance? Kenny also got a beatdown but since he got blindsided by a blow to the head, it made sense.
I've been away a while, and there's always more to complain about. I mean, how stupid.
Probably nah, but they did make him roughly as meaty.
Wait, when? In the truck?
He meant they aren't, because they aren't.
Wait i'm confused. Do you think TFS is better than S2 or worst? If better. I agree sir. I agree.
I don't know, maybe because his daughter along with the rest of the group had their hands bound and if he was to openly fight back it could have easily led to them being gunned down by Carver's goons? And even if Carlos did fight back do you seriously think he would have been able to overpower Carver when Carver had three armed goons backing him up? Is it really that hard for you to put yourself in the skin of other people? It's easy to look at something from an outside perspective and be judgemental but when you are actually in that situation yourself you will find that it is a lot harder than it seems.
Gabe was even worse:
[In the tunnel while Conrad is holding him hostage with a gun to his head] "Shoot him!"
[later on, being a snitch for no reason]
"You killed Conrad! You're a murderer!"
I think some of you are missing the point. It's not about Carlos wanting to get Carver shot. It's about him shouting that and then later blaming Kenny for doing exactly what he asked.
Yeah, I hated Carlos. With the exception of Luke, I didn't care for anyone in the cabin group.
I'm still trying to understand what her point was in the story.
To show how Clementine could have been if Lee and Christa haven't taught her how to survive.
Y so mad, bro?
To illustrate that not everyone is cut out to survive. You either have it or you don’t.
Ah, you can tell the lad wants to come back but can't because he wants to play it all in one go and no spoilers rip
I get that it's kind of like Ben but what was the overall point of her inclusion in the story?
Eh, probably because the hatin on Carlos/Cabin Group thing has somewhat fallen out of style and was generally a bit overblown to begin with.
To provide a foil, closer point of relatability, and potential friend for Clementine amongst the Cabin Group.
Carlos was a fucking moron like the rest of the cabin group. The only good thing they did was AJ.
Lol the dude can't even tell the difference between a dog bite and walker bite, I wasn't surprised
Technically it was carver that did it
For clem to try and help someone that is similar to her but it failed
Well..yeah? The cabin group wasn't used to being by themselves. We know nothing of their lives in the zombie apocalypse pre-Carver, so one can assume they've not been on the road by themselves. So, they're kind of improvising how to survive together on their own, while also being scared as hell and looking over their shoulder for Carver knowing he is hunting them down.
You see, this is where the weirdness especially starts; him not putting up resistance actually goes along with what he says in episode 3: "There are consequences to rash actions. Something that he seems to be misreading as capitulation."
Or in simpler terms, Carlos is saying that he was choosing to surrender and not fight back as a means of keeping his group safe. Kenny, on the other hand, saw the cabin group as giving up for the sake of giving up, not an attempt at avoiding further bloodshed.
So we got this weird overlap where he's partly being a hypocrite, but he's also partly staying true to his words at the same time...?
Like my last point, we know nothing of his or the cabin groups lives pre-Carver. Other than the girl who attacked Nick's Mom, maybe he hadn't been exposed to a bite victim before as Reggie's incident happened after he had left. Also, Nick's mom's killer was poorly handled by the group as they thought they could save her rather than knowing to put her down (Like Kenny with Duck in season one). So, he looked at Clem's arm and isn't sure if its a walker or dog bite, as he hasn't seen a dog in a long time (probably), certainly hasn't seen a dog bite in a long time, and hadn't been exposed to very many walker bites either.
It was kind of like Katjaa being trusted to fix the guys amputated leg even though she wasn't a doctor, she was a vet. However. since she was the only one with a medical background she was trusted to go forward with attempting to fix him. Same goes for Carlos, as nobody knew the difference either yet he was given the reins to make the decision as he has a medical background.
On that aspect....
That would make sense if they hadn't had him start screaming for somebody to shoot Carver.
How could they make such a blatant oversight?
The intended point is that Carlos has a temper and violent streak of his own that comes out when pushed enough.
Carlos is a fucking moron. What else is new?
That would make sense if he fought back, but again he didn't. This implied violent streak is nowhere to be seen when he rolls over like Carver's bitch.
Oh, he definitely intended to do something--if you side with Alvin and surrender, Carlos asks Clementine if she can reach his ties after Kenny starts shooting.
Yeah, I know that. That plan was also retarded.
Maybe he should have tried doing something before he was crippled.
