So, after well, fantastic first few episodes, we are here. Rick Grimes's Last Episode. Man, it's going to be something. Is he going to die? Is he going to live? I dunno. I'd lean towards live, but, eh, he might really be dying. Either way, it's going to be emotional for sure. 9 seasons. Lots of episodes, all lead to this moment.
I even made the thread earlier! So please, comment before, while, and after you watch.
NOTE: Leaked spoilers are not cool, so don't post them...

Rick Grimes is killed by an errant shot from Snape's wand!!
Can’t wait to see my boy Shane again.
I am also excited to see old characters back for flashbacks, hallucinations, whatever. But man, that fear in my chest is building. Godspeed Rick Grimes. Godspeed.
Hey, the record code was "MAGNA". Hmm...
Also, either Negan was faking to survive, or he's such a loser and wants it. With the headbashing last week, I think the later is kind of likely.
You know the words
(I love how they used the same song from the piolet) (how the hell does Judith handle a magnum?)
Wow. What an episode...

So what a TWIST!!!
Wow, you mean to tell me that they didn’t go ahead and kill off Rick, what a total shocker. I totally didn’t see that coming.
However, I will say the announcement of movies is something I wasn’t expecting. I don’t think the idea itself is bad, but I’m not sure how the quality is going to be. Oh well, guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Judith turning into a female Carl with a little bit of Clementine thrown in there, I respect it.
Overall, a good episode.
I must admit I cried a little bit when I thought Rick was dead, but, well, I enjoyed the episode, especially Shane and Herschel being in it. I am glad we are doing another big timeskip and stuff. Episode wasn't perfect, but I am glad it was done the way it was. Hopefully Angela Kang's streak of good writing continues and beyond.
What a great episode. That's why the show will always be a lot better than the game. This promo for 9x06-9x08 also looks fucking fantastic!
Even if you cut away all the bullshit over the years and seasons, still no.
Sick episode, absolutely sick.
Even with all the spoilers I saw during the week, this episode had me choking up in the 1st 20 mins. Seeing Hershel was a big one. Rick is the best, and I am totally looking forward to the films, as I believe he, and AMC are the perfect candidates for the job.
Everything else was awesome as well. Michonne and Maggie's moment was special. Seeing Negan as a pathetic sack of shit was very gratifying. DARYL!!!!! He was awesome in this one. Not usually a fan of Daryl. I wanted to kill him last week for throwing Rick down that hole and not taking responsibility. But I've always believed that he has potential, as his character is so intriguing. I see a bright future with him in the #1 spot. Oh my god, and dare I say I liked Magna's intro better than the comics?
Was nervous about the timejump, but now I'm excited for the rest of the season and beyond.
Dude why are you even on the Telltale forums if you're trashing the games with every single comment you write?
I'm not going to lie, the moment we all thought that Rick died... I cried so hard. I think I haven'y cried that much over a fictional character since Lee died. Then as I was wipping away the tears they showed that Rick is still alive so I started laughing. Maniacally, I must add. Then came the announcement of movies... I'm so sad and so happy at the same time. Can't wait for the next episodes! Lil Judith took on her to spearhead the arc of Carl from comics.
Hey apparently that was Lauren Cohan’s last episode for this season...
Also, I think Henry will play the role of Carl in regards to a certain storyline sooner. Hopefully that means that Carol will reenact one of the funniest comic moments that Andrea does.
I thought Lauren's last episode was 9x06? I really think she got one episode more than Andy.
Still yes!
I just have this to say...Scott Gimple wrote the episode...it is becoming very apparent that he was under too much stress ans chief writer and show runner...the new show runner has done amazing work and Scott seems to be back in form...thoughts?
Actually, he (and Matthew Negrete) developed the story for the episode. The episode itself was written solely by Negrete.
I honestly loved this episode soooo much ?? I adore the way Negan genuinely wanted to die, just like the comics, and how we all thought Rick was going to die but he didn’t! Such a great way to subvert expectations, and call me retarded but at the end I honestly thought that Judith was clementine. Don’t judge, I forget faces easily.
I know some people may not like how Rick survived, but come on, not everyone needs to die in a sad and emotional way for you to become invested, TV shows are made for enjoyment, and it’s not the most enjoyable thing in the world to wat h your favourite characters die. I mean sure, if it happens I’m always ok with it, and it gets me feeling emotional and stuff, but it honestly seems like the only thing that everyone wants these days when watching TV shows or movies is for all of the good guys to be killed off, it honestly shouldn’t work like that imo.
Ik I was quite vocal about my disaste for the start of S9 and how it started off a bit too slow, it looks like the show is having a great turn around and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.
Judith Grimes will be better than Clementine.
So you mean a clone of Clem...well thats cool too.
She isn't a clone of Clem.
Clementine can only clean Judith's shoes to be honest. Little Judith will become a badass and a great leader. Just like her father wa.... STILL IS!!!!!!!
You mean like Clem already is.
Nope, not really. She isn't a leader and never was. She also isn't a badass. You really have to watch TV Show or Comic Series to see how a badass in The Walking Dead world looks like.
She pretty much led the planning for the raider attack, put herself on the front lines, handled the walkers as they flooded in, took down Abel, and literally stares down Lily as she's pointing a gun in her face, and that's just from the 2nd episode of TFS.
And I think Clem might disagree with you on her not being a badass.
Oh yeah. She found barbed wire, she blocked the gate. Oh well - they got there in five seconds! Nice one Clem, good job! It's easy to handle the walkers when the game gives you infinite amount of arrows and makes it easy as shit to aim so yeah.
Huh?
There was an entire scene of her mapping and planning their line of defense with Violet and later on her own in her dorm. She got barbed wire from a greenhouse that was abandoned and overrun with walkers that none of the other kids wanted to clear. Again, that's only Episode 2, let's look back at her highlights. Stitched up her own arm, snuck into a house to get medical supplies, survived getting shot, stood up to Carver when others were fearful, took care of AJ on her own for 2 years before ANF and several more after, and so on and so forth. Your attempts are quite pathetic.
Doesn't the show do the same with Daryl?
I'll be honest, seeing that scene with Hershel, due to Scott Wilson's unfortunate passing, made me on the verge of tears. But you know what sucks. Before watching the episode, I went to see the upcoming episodes on my tv and the summary for next weeks episode made a bit of a spoiler to me. But honestly, the best walking dead episode in the television series. And shout out to Andrew Lincoln's amazing performance as Rick Grimes. I'm looking forward to the films.
Daryl used his crossbow for fucking years. Clementine used the bow for the first time in Season 4 and she became a master of it in few seconds.
Your badassesy frontier is quite low.
Stitching up your own arm at the age of 11 after a serious dog bite with a sewing needle and fishing lure is a low "badassery frontier?"
I was referring to the infinite amount of arrows, you know, like you originally brought up before you changed the terms (again). And considering how long Clem has been in the apocalypse and the lack of readily accessible ammo, is it really so hard to believe that, at some point, she learned how to use one? I'll admit I would have liked to see a scene of her learning this or an explanation, but then again, I don't recall ever getting one for Daryl either. Not to mention that other games, like TLOU, also have their characters using weapons like a bow and arrow despite us never seeing them learn how.
There is plenty of scenes in which Daryl takes his belts out of walkers' heads and puts them to use again. Hardly ever there are any scenes with him taking more than few walkers with crossbow. Please, dude.
And backing up to the episode discussion. I'm happy that Rick is alive and that there will be 3 movies about him. The promos for the 9x06-9x08 also look good and Angela Kang is doing a great job of taking series back to a good shape and I have never thought that it will be possible without Andrew Lincoln.
But yeah... what kills me is that Daryl will never know that Rick managed to survive it. Like really. I mean I just wish that someday there will be an episode with Daryl and Rick reuniting. Seeing how devasted Daryl was after that explosion.
You could really feel everything in this scene. He just starts crying no matter how hard he tries to not and simply walks back without saying a word. Almost a reminder of 7x08 when Daryl managed to escape from Sanctuary and he reunited with Rick. He once again tried not to cry, but as soon as Rick went to hug him, he simply lost it.
But since the show had 6 years timejump already then I doubt that it will be even possible to make a room for Rick's comeback. Even if it would be just an one episode...
I held back my tears when I saw Shane agian....almost cried when hershal appeared agian and hugged Rick....then I died inside when I saw daryl whimpering as he's seeing Rick die..but I'm happy af that he's still alive and will continue being Rick (somewhat) in movies....fantastic episode.
Yeah, but don't you feel the void when you know that Daryl will always think that his brother has died?
Why are we talking about the game in a Walking dead TV SHOW thread?
