What could happen to [SPOILERS FROM S9E05]?
What could happen to Rick Grimes? Where that helicopter could take him? Why he didn't manage to come back to his daugther, to the woman he loves and to his brother? I know that we will get three Rick Grimes' movies, but still - what do you think happens? Heard many theories - some people say he was transported to Europe, some people say that he got taken by Commonwealth guys (which isn't likely true since it could be easy for him to go back to Alexandria).
I just really hope that those three movies won't be total cashgrabbers from AMC and that they will give us a very good explanation of how Rick didn't back to his family. And since family is the most important thing for him then I don't know what could honestly stop him from coming back especially considering that he had 6 years to do so.

Easy for him? It takes a few weeks, maybe a month to go back from where the Commonwealth are. In the comics they are in Ohio, but in the show they could be in Texas for all we know. A helicopter can cover a long distance, the Commonwealth in the comics only has horses like Rick and co. do.

If somebody took you to an unknown location a whole state or 2 away, you think you can just walk back home?
Maybe he’s working to rebuild the world elsewhere, hoping it’ll allow him to one day reunite.
He still would sooner or later get to know where he is. Like really man, he lives in USA - not in jungle.
You know what? Yeah, okay, sure. I get that. He met people he really want to help. Fine. He thinks that he already has done his job in Alexandria & rest communities? Fine. But c'mon. You're not gonna really think that he isn't at least willing to go back there to see his daughter, Michonne and Daryl. Even if he would just go back there to make sure they are okay and that the things are looking good. But he sure as shit wouldn't be like "meh, they'll be all fine for sure".
My theory is although he wasn't hit in the head he will loose his memory maybe because of the explosion he got hit in the head and lost it for years then it comes back....keep in mind memory when lost no one will know exactly when it Will be regained..... That's my only explanation to it atm.
Oh man, I hope that they won't pull off something like that. It would be something very disrespectful towards TWD fans and Rick Grimes' character. His memory is pretty much major part of who he is. Well - the most important part of his personality.
Knowing AMC it's not impossible to happen.
Yeah. You know what? If they are going to pull off some bullshit then I think it would be better for Rick to die after that explosion. But perhaps there will be a really good and logical explanation that we can't think off now.
